We have ventured out this past year too! I’m looking forward to learning from your experience so far I am not a green thumb but we are trying to grow our food from fruit and veggies to meat!

You can do it! We started with one tomato plant an a raspberry stalk from my mother-in-law. Never had clean hands since ;)

I found some highbush blueberries in the wild any recommendations what to do? I know you're telling us pick up these mature trees but I was just curious if you had any input on these highbush blueberries that are wild

Did the trees all survive?

All but my Arkansas Black tree. I think it died from disease affecting that variety because I had bought another young Arkansas Black whip and it died too. They were the only ones that didn't make it through the year. Some stress from the transplant may have contributed to that variety becoming more susceptible to disease.

Did they put on any growth the year you transplanted, or did they generally take the season to recover? @@TheSeasonalHomestead

They took an entire season to recover.@@murky2502
