Hey! Another thing that may work to let you store more shoes (if needed) is some shoe stacker organizers (I think they're called that). They're sold on Amazon and SHEIN. They allow you to basically store the pair together one on top of the other instead of side to side. If you want to get them, I’d just recommend measuring before buying! Hope this helps 😊
Where did you get the iver door hanger please!? I moved recently and I don’t have the storage space I did so night gowns onsies and coats for every season habe no where to go
Noooo body will ever throw their coats on my bed! If you live in the city and use public transportation you get this😉! I do love these tips though realizing how much needles space my shoe cubby is taking..
Personally with a small space like that I would put a door hanging mirror on the other door to check if the whole outfit fits🤣 I think I may even add some light and look a lil more spacious because of the reflection
Hey I just noticed on the side of the shoe rack next to the door there is a small area that you could put a mirror a medium size one square or circle doesn't matter and then get like a little shelf so you can put a bowl for you know keys, your wallet, your phone or whatever and then behind door you give one of those clip-ons that people use for mops and brooms you can use it for the umbrella and whatever behind at the door
@cheryl5994 your jacket must be made of plastic! Jk, seriously though... 5 coats (like 5 well-made peacoats or a 5 leather jackets for example) can be super heavy. And I don't think OP is saying the door is going to be hanging off the hinges. I think they mean it's just going to make it crooked enough to be wonky.
I don't even have a hallway of my own🧍♀️ I have a shared hallway with my neighbor that's basically a tiny room. All our shoes are there and as for guest coats, I just put them on random chairs in my kitchen
We have no hallway/entry. We store our shoes in our rooms. Door hooks are the best! That's where I keep my bags all around the house. *2 adults and 2 kids, we live in a 2r house so proper small.
Have you considered changing the direction the door opens? I don't know how ok with this your land loard might be with it but I recomend asking, you can tell them the house will feel more spaceious
Front doors on residences always open inwards (and I can't tell which door is the door that opens to her apartment). This is because of the placement of traditional door's hinges (which you don't want on the outside of your home bc it's that's secure) and elements like wind, snow and rain. Doors on public buildings almost ways open outwards so normally you will pull on them to enter and push on them to exit for safety reasons, such as crowding. If a front room in a small store were to become very crowded, it would be hard for you to pull the door inwards, and much easier to push the door to exit.
@@Throatzillaaa ok.. but that's not a public area like a store, it's an apartment door, and I don't think snow will enter the hall easily, also it isn't secure if her front door is always blocked because she has no space to move around, I get what you mean but it doesn't seem convinient for her in this case at all
It's the front door as far as I can see. You can't change the way that the front door opens without a lot of work as far as I know because it's not just the hinges that would have to be changed but also the brace that is put on the outside. Also it's an apartment. There's no way they're gonna allow one door to open the wrong way
When you said vertical rack, I thought you said virtual and I was like wow! That really would make a difference if we could have inventory like in video games 😂😂

Hi macerly I love your videos, always so many useful tips! If you don't mind me asking, where do you usually edit your videos? And what font are you using? xx
@Genie J AND YOU KNOW THAT BECAUSE. . . NO, DON'T BOTHER ANSWERING THAT, I'M NOT GETTING INTO A DEBATE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF A SHOE RACK. BUT, WHAT I WILL SAY IS, DON'T ASSUME THAT BECAUSE SOMETHING IS CHEAPER IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT'S CHEAP QUALITY CRAP. IF THAT'S THE CASE YOU DON'T KNOW VERY MUCH. HAVE A GOOD DAY.
If you like playing around with electronics and making gadgets then you could store you stuff up high where the ceiling is, and then at the press of a button it gets lowered down to you.
These door hangers seem brilliant but when used for heavy coats and over a longer period it can really damage the door. It will start to lower itself until it starts scratching that beautifule wooden floor. Once that problem occurs it's not easy to fix as you cannot just hang the door a little higher because the door frame is the part that got pulled away from the wall it sits in.
… its not that small of a place. Like i have seen other videos of this creator and it’s not that small. I get 2 people living there but it’s still not that small. You just have a wired design of the apartment I think. I have an apartment that is the same size I think and I know I am one person but every room is basically in one place but the toilet. And since it’s such an open space I created sort of walls with storage.
Her flat is five times the size of the little caravan I live in. It’s twelve foot by 6’6” so, less that 80square feet. Small but absolutely perfectly formed and I love it. I wouldn’t want to share it though
Space is relative. We have 26 bedrooms but when they are filled with family for Christmas we end up with at least 50 pairs of wellies and 50 coats in the boot room. We resort to boarding school style old fashioned labels on EVERYTHING.
I just randomly came across this video and I'm not really interested in home origanizing videos, but GIRL! You have no business being THIS gorgeous! Wow! Those piercing blue eyes are stunning. That flawlessly elegant hair. 😍😍😍 Lots of love ❤
@Joce217 whether at home or at a hotel, you do not want your valuables next to an easy escape, or where easily grab it and run.. If they are just empty, spare bags it's fine.
