When we adopted in 1997, we were in the same boat. We struggled to pull together the money and travel expenses. We had a few things we were blessed with- one was my husband gathered scrap metal and the price was very high. He made 6000. I was able to work overtime at my social service job which never happens. Then Hubbys boss lent us 10,000. We paid that off in about a year. For my son's nursery- we bought used and garage sale items. We used our house saving and put off our house for 5 years. It was a miracle how things came together. Our neighbor brought over 250$ just enough for our son's plane ticket. Sending you prayers for your family.
What an amazing story Winter! So encouraging to hear as my husband and I are considering adoption, but the money has us feeling like it would be impossible for us to save for. We have desperately wanted to grow our family, and we have just walked through our 3rd miscarriage at 18 weeks. We have been feeling quite defeated and unsure what path to take moving forward, so hearing your testimony gives me peace that maybe this really could be a possibility for us. Thanks for always sharing your story and all the information you give about adoption and foster care! You have inspired me to share our story of losses and for the good things God will bring in the future. I would love it if you would visit my channel to hear my story if you have a chance😊💗.
