WOW! I can just feel you guys had a blast!! I was there in Monaco one day before F1 race. Saw all the bleachers up. I know if your on a yacht you probably have the best view. I planned it all wrong didn't know. I think that's right after the French open as well.

Hi chips, I have invited some guests for dinner during the Monaco F1 weekend and most replied in the normal fashion. However one person, a man, emailed stating: "I would like a large sized trout, grilled well". I think this the height of rudeness to demand the dish. How do I reply? Janni Hi Janni I am afraid this is part of a growing trend. Although it is perfectly normal for people to inform their host they are vegan or have a nut allergy and so on, you are right to say it is rude to demand a dish of their choice. One is inclined to just ignore the stipulation. The problem is how socially valuable is the guest? If he is someone you care little for, ignore the stipulation. If he is someone who is OK and you do not wish to offend write back "Dear God, may we be grateful for what we receive." But if he is both generally rude but someone who have to keep in with, then do this. Make a trout dish with suitable vegetables to accompany. However also make a special sauce to go with the trout, for example a garlic, lemon, herb sauce and place it in small bowls and place each bowl beside each guests' plate except for the rude man. As you lay the bowls out, rave about it ie. "oh, i found this wonderful sauce recipe the other week, it tastes marvellous, perfect with trout. You must try it!" The rude man will then ask "ah! do you mind of i try some?" and then, in fake embarrassment, say "Oh yes of course! i am so sorry when you emailed your order for the exact food you wanted through you just mentioned trout, not a sauce? But of course you can try it, let me get some." You then run into the kitchen where you have his bowl already prepared and smile wide as the others take in what you just said. He should feel suitably embarrassed. If any guests are confused you can fill them in when he goes to the toilet. Chips Your Social Problems Solved

LOL Yup! The train station is the key. Take the bus or walk to the south end of the course and the train station gets you on escalators, rather than the ever present stairs. Down the escalators, out the doors, and you're a couple hundred yards from the entrances. I was in grandstand K, opposite La Condamine. I've never seen so much money floating on the water that didn't belong to the military!

Those shoes are awesome. Do you know they are a 70s replica from Adidas. They made it as a Stan Smith tennis shoe. It was all white but otherwise it's the same shoe. Very cool!
