"we needed to protect you from yourself" says Andy to Rick. That's real friendship and running community. Let's all do it together! Team spirit is amazing! Love TRC.
First off I want to say I love this content. The constant laughter really shows how real friends you all are and how you all get on together. Weird relays and odd kinds of runs are what my friends and I thrive on. We also get weird, laugh, topic jump, over share, over eat, over buy food, and I saw so much of us in you in this pod cast. So thank you and keep up the great work! You inspire so many people! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
So good, funny, and a little bit delirious that podcast, love it. For running home for Christmas I will be running in at least 4 different cities on 2 continents. I am currently in Pucallpa in the Peruvian Amazon jungle and have run here, then back home to Lima, and running there. Then, I am flying to Australia for Christmas and will be in Sydney, running there, and then flying to see friends in Perth and will run there! On another point due to the MND link have you tried to get an interview with Kevin Sinfield and all his ultra running for MND and Rob Burrow etc...
Great, fun podcast! Love, love, love! The addition of exhaustion and wine is a very viewable combination, especially while I’m Zwifting and watching 👌 Happy to see the Rickster back running and in top pazizz form, really missed him during his rehab period. You guys rock, well done 👏👏👏
Just signed up for "Running Home for Xmas", a great cause! A friend was recently diagnosed and give a very short life expectancy, so glad to be a part of doing something.
Your podcasts inspire me to run, this one inspires me to run for a charity (and log it on Strava). I work in pediatric medicine and patients& families with MND break my heart, and build it back up with their courage..❤.😢
This is one of the funniest videos you've done. You should all get sleep deprived more often, it was like watching drunk people at the end of the night. LOVED IT!
You guys are such a great motivation to get starting again with running. Thanks for that and congratulations with your great accomplishment, I'm excited to join Running Home for Christmas!
No one talks about bum chaffing! I found out about it on my first marathon and was trying to raise awareness at my last club run although people didn't really want to hear / believe. IT'S A THING! right back in the box and back to watch the rest of the podcast
This Gavicast is hilarious! Great you're all enjoying yourselves in fairness - kudos - and I'm going to sign up for your running home Strava club because it was so funny!
Just watched while doing zone 2 training on my turbo trainer and loved it, I’ve also signed up my running activities to the running home for Christmas challenge too 😅😅.
I listened to this pod before my long run and had never heard of butt chafing. Just had a shower after my run and can confirm it’s a thing 🤣 thanks Sarah haha
Love these podcasts, and the channel in general. My running home is getting in the last 50k to hit my 500k yearly target. These challenges inspire to do something more meaningful with my running than just challenging myself. How about a TRC community relay next year?
My plan for December is to try and do a 100k week... inspired by the GingerRunner 100mile week challenge. Might be a usual training week for some, but it is more than 2x my usual weekly distance. Just curious how it feels. Re bum chafing: just ask the cyclists... chamoix cream!
Hi guys, hilarious podcast, lovely to see how well you get along and how supportive you are to each other. I'm from the Netherlands. I am not gonna donate to your MND-couse in England (too complicated), but will make a donation to ALS foundation in the Netherlands. 0.25 euro for every kilometer that I run in December. Alarm set for the 31th of December to make it happen.
Always love listening to your podcasts but this one had an extra special 'something'... I think it was Gavi :) So good i watched it when i got back from my wander. even funnier!
I think running home for christmas might be a bit much for me (Brisbane->Basingstoke ~16,500km). So instead Ill run loads of km’s around here in the oppressive heat. Great to see you all kicking back relaxing and delirious after the big run! Very funny to watch 😂 (Also well done Andy on backing up from that run and heading to Valencia for an amazing time! 💪)
👏👏👏👏👏 Please get Kevin Sinfield on the channel for an interview, he does so much for MND and his best mate, Rob Burrows. I think Kevin has raised upwards of £8 million so far and just doesn't stop.
That was hilarious!! I think you were all delirious!! Made for very good entertainment, just hearing Sarah chuckling her way through the whole podcast 😂😂😂
I know it’s a good cause, which I fully support but this made me a bit sad too. I used to “cycle home for Christmas”, but both my parents are dead now so I can’t anymore 😢.
Hi. The best podcast by far. Tears were rolling down my face from laughing so much. Brillioant. Thank you. Well done to all the team and for such a great cause. I can't join you on the journey as just recovering from surgery 3 days ago so I am having to take it easy. Good luck to all the team that are tackling the Valencia Marathon❤❤. I'll be thefe in spirit supporting you
I’m voting for a Running Home for Christmas milestone that is a bottle of Gavi di Gavi 🍾 I’m hoping to run everyday (Dec 1st to Dec 25th) for RHFC - lost my Gran to MND so glad to be able to support it this way. Amazing effort by the team - thanks for great content too 😂
Bum chaffing... it's a thing and it's not fun. Part of my Running home for Christmas will be the Triple Challenge team in Belgium. They're running 184km for 'De Warmste Week' and I hope I can follow 90km in 2 parts.
This was my favorite podcast yet! Loved the laid-back atmosphere. I have my first run of December scheduled today and can't wait to join in on the fun!
Well done on the running home for Xmas guys! Looking forward to taking part in the challenge, I’ll not be running for the first week due to finishing my own challenge. I completed running 10.5 miles in a 10kg weight vest everyday of November (but 12.5 on day 1 and 30) so I’ll be taking a rest 😂 The podcast was a great distraction during the month so thanks for the content. And best of luck for tomorrow Andy, excited for the result!! 🎉
Your podcasts do make me laugh and this one especially. As i am 10 years older than Andy i shouldn't really laugh at the constant Agism he suffers from Young Sarah particularly ,But i always do!
just signed up for running home for Christmas. I'm just getting back into running after some medical issues and I'm so excited about it. Also I get the but chafing I get it as well
This was amazing to listen to, I was running to a Santa Clause parade where my husband and kids had gone ahead to a friend's house close by the parade route. Here I was laughing at this while running on the Trans Canada Trail through the bush in the dark and it was amazing. Thank you so much for doing this challenge and making this podcast. I've signed up for the challenge and hope to help as much as I can to get to the goal. Goodluck in Valencia and hope you all got some good sleep after this.
I do worry about the man who you saw on the canal. Life is hard and this time of year is even harder. He could have been there for a very sad reason I do not want to mention here. Someone should of checked on him.
The tears are due to me chopping onions for dinner. This is a great charity to support. I'll have to run most of this month on the treadmill as the cold air as been affecting my lungs and setting off my asthma. I'll do my best.
