I just wanted to thank all of the different people that commented that were asking what the problem was with the truck (HDT) since the title inferred or implied that there was a problem with their travel days due to the truck based on the title of the video. Thankfully, after reading the comments, I didn't even need to bother to watch the video. Thanks to all the commentors for saving me a waste of time. You're the best. To the owners of this channel or the people in the video, I would suggest that you not put clickbait titles in your videos anymore because people won't watch your videos and you won't get subscribers. I will potentially consider watching another one of your videos just to give you a second chance but if I catch you doing the same thing in another video again, I won't even think twice to not even bother wasting my time the next time after that. It's not a good thing to just put clickbait titles out because people get tired of that. You can take that however you want but I'm just telling you what pretty much everyone thinks when it comes to clickbait titles.
FYI it is better to strap the SXS down over each wheel. While you travel the SXS's frame moves from the suspension and may come loose. Over the wheels allows the suspension move, instead of compressing. By the way the videos are great. Never mind the Karen's. It looks like Blyth AZ.
great setup but to save time consider pulling the 5th wheel off and loading the can am on the back of the truck. That will help to remove one step plus it should making driving a bit easier. Great setup and id love to know more about the truck.
Often people forget that an HDT is no wider than a dually pickup. Further they tend to have a tighter turning radius. With the hitch basically on the rear bumper it is actually easier to park the trailer than with a pickup. Pretty cool IMHO.
LETS ALL SAY IT TOGETHER NOW !!!! CLAS A DIESEL PUSHER !!!! lol guys i was dealing with the same things that u guys are now with a 2022 grand design fifth wheel .. now we have a 2007 tiffin Allegro class A 38 ft and couldnt be more happier man !!! guess what no beak down hardly at all !! just get in and go period. no hook ups no un hooking just go love it. he has toys too lol but she can pull it all just fine.
You can only drink out of one coffee cup at a time. Plus they are extremely heavy and in your previous video it sounds like you are hundreds of pounds over your GVW.
2:13 this is the exact “passive aggressiveness” that led to Gaby petito and Brian laundry like why are you even remotely dropping this line “this one makes a mess ON MOVING DAY NEVER FAILS” I bet it never fails the woman has to nag like this inside a RV you’re stuck together 24/7
CONGRATS ON THE 379. I MADE MY LIVING DRIVING THE BROWN THAT SAID UPS ON THE DOOR. COUPLE OF QUESTIONS; WHAT'S THE REAR END GEARING? WHY 2 DRIVE AXLES? ONE SINGLE DRIVE AXLE IS MUCH SHORTER AND WILL HANDLE GVW OF ANY 5TH WHEEL RV ON THE ROAD NOW. THE LITTLE CLIP OF YOU DRIVING LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE HAVE SOME TIME IN THE SEAT. WHO'D YOU WORK FOR? MY WIFE AND I ARE SLOWLY CULLING OUR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO GET ON WITH FULLTIME RV'ING. BEEN LOOKING HARD FOR A SINGLE SCREW 386 BUT MAN THEY ARE DAMN NEAR NON EXISTENT. GOOD LUCK. HOPE TO MEET UP SOMETIME
3.28 rear gear. it will get singled eventually. we will still keep the wheelbase the same, get rid of front axle. stretch the frame 2 feet put a flat bed on it for the can am so we dont have to double tow.
How do you like the Gen Y gooseneck hitch box on your RV? I like the suspension of it plus I can keep my commercial fifth wheel for pulling equipment trailers.
thats the reason we went the route we did. we made a few videos on it this first link is the first video we made ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ppO1yZJ67F0.html
How exactly is this the HDT’s fault? You blame the truck for double towing, but you tow a toy, that is not the truck’s fault. I see nothing at all that explains your title. We love our HDT. It made life SO much easier and travel days SO SO much nicer. (And faster) …so what is the deal?
