Hi Devin, great tutorial. I assume to keep everything in the same plane of focus you switch the lens to manual focus after photographing the couple correct? How do you like the LoupeDeck for editing as well? I edit wedding photography full time and I didn't think it would be faster than copying & pasting settings/ keyboard shortcuts on a standard keyboard, but I'm curious what your take is on it. Thanks!
Brandon Fiege hey! Yea I use back button focusing so it’s really easy to focus on them and then keep shooting around them without refocusing on every shot. Also, I love the loupedeck for editing. It’s pretty awesome and way more efficient!
Ah I see, thanks for the speedy reply! I'll have to get my hands on a LoupeDeck and see how it works if they ever come down in price. Keep up the good content!
When you take the picture of the couple first, and then start taking pics around them, do you focus around them too or leave it as is so not everything is in focus?
@@Anchorandveilphotography wow thanks for the quick reply, really appreciate it. This look is so intriguing. What would you say is the challenging part about this method, any tips for a first time trying it?
@@wwfera00 Hey! Yea, my best tip would be to check out this updated version of the video! And don't rush when going around the couple or it will create a lot of blur! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WLzAIWoY104.html
This is awesome! I’m kinda afraid to do this because Lr has been a bit slow lately. I’m sure there are things I can do to fix that though! Thanks for the tutorial :)
Devin, Appreciate if you could explain to the viewers how to stitch in Lightroom. It does a wonderful job rather than go and invest in another software like Autopano. If its free then fine but most of us are invested in Lightroom. I stitched in Lightroom and it gives amazing results just like your photo. Guys no tripod required, handheld would do, if you are using a VR lens or IS lens. If your 85mm doesn't have just shoot with a higher shutter speed and use a manual speed light with a softbox. Just sharing what I do, but you can choose what suits you best.
Dubz Fornillos Dol it is. But the creamy background/bokeh isn’t as effective. Also, their separation from the background won’t have the same effect. The longer the lens the better.
cdreyes81 People don't catch that the fact you're shooting at really open aperture, that your SS is going to float to higher values, so stability isn't much of an issue. And best you get those wraparound shots quickly so the light doesn't change much - somehow you want to lock the exposure and focus. BBF doesn't necessarily stay locked on all cameras, but however someone does it - it is key that you retain focus and exposure settings between exposures. (I flip to manual mode focus after getting the core shot setup and usually in manual exposure mode any way).
Hey! Its called auto pano giga. I actually am going to create a new one because I would suggest just using Lightroom's pano application! Its much cheaper and works just as well!
I'm new here,.I'm loving your tutorials. Great work, great tips!! I saw you use a preset before you run your color balance. Do you have this preset available? or is it for sale?
Hey! I don't sale my presets except for in my course. But if you are interested in learning a lot more, I have 7 free lessons from my course that you can grab. twpmasterclass.com/
norman tesch great question! I like the compression and depth of field from the 85. So this method allows me to have that 85 look with the focal length of the 35.
@@Anchorandveilphotography but with a fast 35 or even a 50 the couple could be larger in the photo. im thinking of trying this since i do a ton of photos. like over 500 images for one image
