There should be no shame at allll for how you made it work❣️ as a little girl when my mom moved us into a 2 bed home I actually moved my bed in the closet and preferred that instead. Your guys energy is beautiful love your family 💕

That closet idea is a great idea. I know a person who lived in a studio and her and her husband put their daughter in a closet. Good on living with in your means. A lot of people are hurting financially because people are unwilling to live like this. My 1 bed is smaller then this but I got ideas. Now.

I usually never comment on any videos but I’m just a creep like that lol. But this video was so helpful, creative, and encouraging! I’m a single mom of two and I had this thought that came to my mind like “why would I move into something large when my babies are small”. The closet space was so creative. It is better to take a step back willingly and prepare for something bigger than to move into something bigger when youre not ready and be force out. Imma be honest I love your apartment .mines is bigger but old since I’m in an apartment building and I love your floors omg the light gray floors beautiful nice and clean and you have a backyard to get some fresh air and a laundry section I wish I had that ..I do have a washing machine but not a dryer since originally I’m not supposed to have one in the apartment . Trust having less stuff in the apt means a clear head .i have to declutter so much stuff i have even my moms stuff I still struggling with since it’s been a year of her transition . So definitely do not feel away about it the main thing is you and your daughter have a roof over your heads and that your comfortable and feel safe there. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This video showed up in my recommendation. And I have to say you guys had motivated me a lot more for this move I’m at about to make. I have a 6 year old and currently live in a studio apartment and have to move out soon. I’ve been beating myself up on how I need a two bed room so she can have her own space. But with the market prices right now it’s way out of budget so I have to settle for a one bedroom. This video really just turned my mindset around about the situation and I’m even more excited about apartment hunting and finding the perfect 1/1 so that I can also turn it into a two bedroom.

Thats awesome! I pray you not only find the perfect spot but that you would also find favor during the process! Don't beat yourself because one day your baby will look back and see mom did the best she could. My favorite memories about childhood have nothing to do with what my house looked like but actually the memories my family made while we were there. True story: the first house my parents bought include some of my best childhood memories, once we started getting older they got that "bigger house itch". Of course me and my sister were really excited to finally have our own room so we were all on board but we didn't know it would come at the cost of doing less fun things because it was more expensive. We stopped having the pantry full of snacks and we had less friends outside to play with since it was a newer area. Things changed a lot and I think back all the time about how life would have been had my parents chose to keep the smaller house. Don't buy the status quo at your child expense.

Man, I had to look at your name to make sure I didn’t write this. I’m literally in the same predicament you (were/are) in. Not sure if it’s changed by now, but, my son will be six in 3 days actually. We are currently in a 400sqft jr/studio apartment and I was definitely wanting a 2bed but, I had to make the decision today while I was out looking for places all day today that I’m goin to have to settle for a 1bed for now and make it work for us. So, I know exactly how u feel.

This video is exactly what I needed! Our growing family needs another bedroom, but with the economy the way it is buying another home is just out of the question right now. We are moving into a one bedroom for 5 months while we sell our house and construction is finished on our new house. We have a 2 year old and a big Cane Corso. When I was little, I had a bedroom closet. And when my oldest daughter was little she had a bedroom closet. When my youngest daughter was little I split the living room into two using bookshelves and built her a bedroom that way.

thank you! & yes she does love her space, every 2-3 months I just go in and do a "toys & clothes cleansing" as things can build up pretty fast. Staying here has really allowed us to see how much Americans consume in unnecessary things.

Congratulation guys! I loved your girl’s room, and everything you said is so true, people this days have an obsession with having a huge house, every single baby they have has to have their own room and it’s just not necessary. Kids, especially little ones love being close to their parents and having them in your bedroom but at the same time having their own little space is a wonderfull idea!

I’m all about the Facebook market, goodwill, minimalist, etc. We rent a one bedroom apartment & it’s my husband and I with our 3 kiddos! You guys are awesome! My husband and i are very similar to yall! We have a small condo and a second baby on the way and we wont be moving anytime soon... we want to save till we can be half into the purchase price so we dont have a 30yr mortgage .... our wedding was 600 we did a bbq and my dress was on sale for 100 lol cuz why spend money on one day when we were able to use that money for our condo down payment purchase lol... keep being thrifty! Teach our kids how to save and spend smart! ❤️ from VT!

One thing that my husband and I have learned is how to stay in our own lane and now deal with the pressure of "keeping up". Americans consume SOO much but we think it's normal. Love it! We homeschool and have 2, 4 and 5. We’re thinking about downsizing to save more for a house! I also have the issue of rearranging furniture often. 🙈 Even with a somewhat spacious 2 bedroom I have to be very creative with space and minimalistic with things which is hard because I’m always saving scraps for projects. This video was very refreshing.

I had a One bedroom when my son was small and gave him the room and I had my bed in the living room. In some areas leasing or landlords want permit your family size to rent a one bed room. Had a friend with that issue before.

Tbh this helps. Me and my partner expecting second child. With a 14 month old currently. She needs her own space soon. NY rentals are insane soon we have to make do. Ty ty
