Arrogant and seductive are not really portrayed well. The Asian girl (apparently showing arrogance) looked more like she was lustful and darker skinned person (apparently having a seductive look) looked like they were suspicious xD

To an Empath like myself reading people isn't quite as Black and White as seeing them physically in front of you or being able to hear them. It scarily is a lot more in depth than just seeing is believing and Science is linking Anxiety and IQ etc to something far deeper than facial expressions and sound. It is no doubt there are many like me who are fine tuned maybe a little more than we like to imagine or can understand. I find it interesting how I have always been able to detect a truth from a lie, an emotional vampire form a heart warming person to a fake personality to a total wonder of sensation that lights up the life of a graveyard motionless room within a simple few sentences and thrives everyone into hours of endless fun without even making a sweat and even more interesting how some people like myself can do this over a PC screen with no general or real life connection to said people/person. That is a little more than reading people that's intuition/clairsentience which is becoming a reality and not just a you're crazy escaped mental patient.

This.. isn't how you read people.... To read someone well you look and listen to allllll of them, their body language, their full facial expression, the waves in their voice, the pauses in words. Just looking at eyes isn't gonna give anyone any information, I could have angry eyes but with a smile, i'm not angry or happy, i'm bemused, and when i'm bemused my head will also tilt, but that's my way of expressing it, each individual will have different patterns, you gotta know them well enough only then can you notice if something is just a tiny bit off.

This is wrong, 1. These actors are actually "forced" to emminate the feeling 2. There should be a cluster of facial expression, that means , mouth is supposed to be included 3. Arroused? Arrogant? Wtf? There are 7 readable expression . 4. I only got a few right, and i was one of the 95th percentile in reading facial cues 5. Nobody cares lol

I have studied expressions with out even knowing it. Now I know the probabilities and what someone is going to do by the way they talk or inform me. Its cool, really. I could tell that my coach wasn't accepting me on the volley ball team by the way she talked to me with less encouragement in her eyes, her face expressed a more cautious feel... She didn't smile or show any strong emotion to me when she was speaking.

Emotionally expressive and genuine people are easy to read. Some can control their facial expressions. But you know what everyone now and then that character is disrupted. Then you can read them. It's easy to break someones fake persona(character) by asking intrusive questions. Or attacking their beliefs. Use of this knowledge depends on the person.

I mistook arrogant for seductive, and then mistook seductive for suspicious. I feel like that is a pretty revealing commentary on the state of my love life tbh.

2:23 I understood was supposed to display hatefulness but I could tell was an over-exaggerated look due to acting and was not really displaying hate. A hateful look can also appear to be a stoic look with the eyes turning away sharply from the object of a person's hate and often it does appear that way.

I feel like arrogant isn't a facial expression, it's just a personality trait. Like if someone is happy, you can't read arrogance in their eyes, that's a characteristic not a way their eye are. Same with jealous vs. irritated. Chances are if someone is jealous, they feel and look a bit irritated or mad

These faces aren't based on real emotions (They are acting) so it would be interesting to read the real emotions of faces

These are the faces these people or actors think go along with that emotion but I doubt most are what they’d actually look like with that emotion.

You need the eyes, mouth, and body postures, along with arm and leg positions to detect body language.

this doesn't really make sense since its just people putting on the expressions and not actually feeling them. real emotions are shown in micro expressions, not the obvious face of a mediocre actor

My readings always narrow down to two options and one of them is always right, so I might have the potential....

From the little I learned from the TV series Lie To Me, you have to see the whole face. For instance disgust without seeing the lips can be confused with anger.

If you tell someone to act, it's not gonna look legit.

hmh real feelings are easy to read. i can tell what people think of me only by quick look or sound of their voice i can also tell when someone is lying to me since their facial expressions change and their actions tell a lot

You can only read people when they're not acting. Not even the best actors can put on these faces and say their expression is something they're not feeling. Besides,people want to hide their emotions. Not show it off like in 0:35 because he looks just like he's being forced to take on that expression.

A good reader can tell these people are acting the supposed emotion by making a face. Determining the real emotion behind the fake one is the real challenge. For example at 0:32 you can tell he's probably having a little fun although pretending to be hateful. I figure he was having fun laughing with the other actors and people before shooting his clip which probably made it hard to act hateful for 10secs.
