@Living Soul Dude , “Homo sapiens sapiens Linnaeus. “ is the biological name for Humans . You don’t have to jump into other conclusions . ( “Being human” to me seems to be not that apt that’s why I choose this name.)
@@robertmarks6525 Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sadly, I don't really create anything significant in terms of youtube videos. Just a couple for family.
He should make a "Doctor Mike vs. WebMD" video where somebody picks out a desease and reads symptoms from WebMD. Doctor Mike has to guess the desease. Then Doctor Mike picks out a desease and inputs symptoms into WebMD. Let's see who is smarter.
Omg yes! That reminds me of when Jenna and Julien did a game where one would read just the ingredients to a Pinterest recipe, and the other had to guess what food it was. That was hilarious but WebMD would be a whole new level!! 🤣👏🏻
I think this proves that Dan should have been a doctor. I will be sending him my medical questions moving forward. Also, CONGRATS! 1B! Yay Mike and team!!!
POV: Someone just passed out and there’s people yelling to see if there’s any doctors Dan: I am an editor for a RU-vid channel of a doctor does that help
I love videos like these because the editors always surprise themselves with how much they know. I watched an English-Korean channel do something like this and the editor knew way more Korean than he realised. Subliminal messaging works!
In Australia, they recently revised the chest compression rate. Instead of it being 100 it's now between 100 and 120. I was told getting closer to the latter is preferred so your editor was technically correct. At least when it comes to Australian standards.
Yeah, when I took First Responder lessons in the US like 4 or 5 years ago they were already mentioning the update. Said they used to tell people to do chest compressions to either the beat of Staying Alive or Another One Beats the Dust... but then with the update Staying Alive was found to now be too slow and Dust is the only option 😨 They recommended we not sing out loud
If you are too fast, isn't there the increasing risk you don't allow the chest to rise again AND not reaching the needed 2 inches aka the compresssions becoming too shallow to really get the blood flow around, increasing the risk of clots to form that get pumped out with the next deep compression ? (I learned for an untrained person) to better do 90 compresssions correct and deep enough, than 110 that are shallow and too fast to let the chest rise and the heart "relax" - for the lack of a better term (this is not my first language) - before compressing the chest again. Also - for people not perfectly trained - better do it not a 100 % correct, before doing NOTHING OUT OF FEAR TO DO IT WRONG ! IF YOU DO NOTHING, THE PERSON WILL DIE. IF YOU DO IT NOT PERFECT, HE/ SHE AT LEAST HAS A MUCH BERTER CHANCE ! AND AT LAST : ALWAYS PUT THE PATIENT ON THE FLOOR, NEVER DO IT ON A BOXSPRING BED WITH A DEEP / SOFT MATRESS ! YOU WILL JUST PRESS THE MATTRESS! ON THE FLOOR, NO PILLOWS AND USE YOUR BODY WEIGHT , BASICALLY LEAN OVER THE PATIENT WHEN YOU DO COMPRESSIONS, SO YOU WON'T GET EXHAUSTED THAT FAST! That's all I can think of atm. Please correct me if I said anything incorrect. I was trained in ALS , but that doesn't mean I don't know everything or make mistakes. Also, guidelines change so often and are different where you might live....
It would be interesting if Ken Jeong, the actor, comedian and doctor, came on Dr. Mike's Channel. It would be interesting and funny too, I guess. I just recently watched him answering medical questions on the Wired channel. He is such a funny man.
@@Darkkkkkkoml but we don't know WHY it spasms like that. I think the spasm actually is the hiccup, not a separate thing. So, yes, the spasm TECHNICALLY causes the hiccup, we don't know what causes the spasm.
@@PBCjimbo You thinking the spasm and the hiccup is one combined thing is not making it facts. The spasm causes the hiccup, if you didn't spasm, you wouldn't hiccup.
why is this suddenly in my notifs two years later as a video uploaded literally a minute ago? not complaining tho, this is such a fun and chill video to watch! 🖤
10:16 “I don’t like that…” “You’re not supposed to like it.” Had so much OOMF to it 😭😭 Side note I got the three muscle groups one right! ….. yeah that’s about it LMAO
That depends of the actor. Sorry, but there is different way to act in tv shows and movies. A method actor would really learn learn a few things if given the time to prepare... Some actors who just do their lines won't really learn much.
It depends. I watched an interview with both George Clooney and Hugh Laurie where Clooney said he did remember some stuff but Laurie said he didn’t remember a thing 😅
I am so proud of that young Mike who was initially so shy when talking to the camera and has now come such a long way and stands as the leading global healthcare face of our generation. 🙌
Apparently I haven't learned a lot 😂 especially terms - I know why I never studied med, even though it's very interesting to me! I know the practical stuff 🤔😁
Wow!! Dan is such a fantastic Editor. But... I think this man is too goddamn intelligent for it. I hope to see him more often. The way he behaves and delivers these answers are mind-blowing.
Do in your ounion editors cant be intelligent? Wtf? Do you know how much knowledge they have about technology, theory of filmmaking and editing, and not even talking about creative side of this job? How can you be too much intellegent for editing?
You have taught me more about medicine than all of my own doctors and teachers put together. Edit: I’m in high school guys. I’m talking about school teachers and the doctors that I see. If I were in med school that would be real bad😂
Dan Owens should definitely start a skillshare class or a youtube channel how he edits your videos cause his editing skills are ON POINT!!! and congrats on 1 BIL!! SO PROUD OF YOU AND THE ENTIRE TEAM LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!
The music during the wasabi eating moments is called The Wagon by Balance Back for all those enthralled by that Spaghetti western style showdown atmosphere. You’re welcome. 😉
ideally, you should only put a small "drop" or pea-sized amount (if you're into spice) MIXED into soy sauce. and that would be enough for an entire meal. with the amount that you ate, you could literally use a hundred meals. that's why real wasabi is very expensive and is meant to be used like that. it is very POTENT. the fact that you consumed this much is alarming. lol
I love how the cowboy music got progressively worse at some point along with the editting 😂 Great job, thank you for educating us and making us laugh 🤗
ssooooo THATS why he's gotta be so buff... he has to be prepared for the occasional times where he has to defend himself against bear cuddles loves & curious sniffies☺
@@MrMOd3RnW4rF4R3 and aparently ur dumb 😂 cuz theres nothing wrong with cuddles. He clearly loves Bear. & bear was curiously sniffing the wisabe that hes not aloud to have. But thanks for the free content 😄 cant wait to show the guys this screenshot🤣 considering i have no clue what grossed you out
Wow 1B views!! That's incredible!! Congrats Doctor Mike and team!! Yall cracking me up with your crazy antics. Spice is life!! Lol Dan you have the best stoic poker face!! I'd totally rock this challenge with you both. But could we add different spicey stuff. I love Wasabi so it would be cheating lol. Thanks again for the best episodes of fun learning.
OMFG your friend Dan could do a KILLER Dr. Wilson impression. Kind of sounds like him! You should do some fake episodes as a joke, like with photos of yourselves, or of screen grabs from the actual show, and have him be Wilson! Make a little fun of House MD that is.
I think that "what causes hiccups?" was an awful trick question. That's because the question can be interpreted in two different ways, and you chose the way that people usually don't think of. One way to interpret the question is what's the _initial_ cause of you getting hiccups, ie. what is it that starts it. The other way to interpret it is what's the physical mechanism for that "hiccup" reaction that your body makes at regular intervals (when you "have hiccups"), ie. what muscles cause those movements etc. The question is ambiguous, and most people would interpret it as meaning the former, but you chose the latter meaning. Which makes it a trick question.
Totally feeling with you guys. Yesterday my husband was cooking for lunch and didnt warn me that there where chillies in the food, so I chomped right onto a chilli. I felt like dying because I couldnt breathe anymore 🥵
