Jacob that is a nice desk! I used to own a very old roll top desk. Aesthetically it was pleasing but honestly it was meant for letter writing and all of the accoutrements, pens, paper etc. it really was not a good Tying Desk. Too many weird books and crannies that swallowed up many small things over the years. When I sold that house, i left the desk behind. Your Rolltop is beautifully designed, specifically for tying and you made out like a Bandit. Well done! Nowadays I use a small meeting table made for an office. What got me interested was that it was Free and advertised as a "Boat Shaped," table. This was pretty cool and I put some cabinets on it. Thanks for sharing your desk with us! It was very kind!
We made that desk. Our company manufactured the desks for Stoney Creek. You did talk to the owner, Jeff. Nice guy, we no longer build those desk for them. I think they went out of business.
Me too...I found a fixer upper old roll top desk on Craigslist for $25. It did need some work, every joint in the thing was popped, so I just took it completely apart, re glued & clamped it all, re did the cloth on the tambors, cut a wastehole, drilled a hole to run power in & wired it up for USB power for my light & device charging et voila! I'm all in less than $100...
