These women talk so gracefully and level-headedly about the transition Clark will make from being a STUDENT to being a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE playing against women 10 years older with families and children, talk about how theyre excited to see her play in their league and acknowledging she'll still be great , speaking based off THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE of adjustment from college, and no matter what some idiots will come in these comment sections acting like they're 'jealous' and actual pros don't know what they're talking about. just because you haven't been paying attention until now doesn't mean you somehow know more than actual professional players, and facts are facts, WNBA is a whole different ball game from college, it's the best of the best. anyone who's a fan of Clark will be excited to see her get even better and inevitably cement her place in history as one of the greatest. One day she'll be sitting in one of these chairs talking about the next generation, will you still defend her then? Or will she be 'jealous' just for speaking on her own experience?
I find it so weird that social media (or media in general) took this as them being jealous about CC. They literally praised how her mentality is like a pro and all that and like you said talked about the transition from their experience, and social media took that as they're "jealous" of her... they just wanna turn women against women.
@@Ichiko980 did we watch the same season? she and the fever struggled at the beginning of the season and then adjusted, got better and showed her greatness exactly as predicted
Clark is amazing.. definitely not trying to take anything from her, but people have forgotten how good Diana Taurasi was. Maybe because social media wasnt as big as it is now
@elizabethc2496 There isn't a need to compare. The fans need to take a deep knee bend and realize the earth has more than 1 person. It's sounds like a bit of jealousy.
If this is what some Caitlin Clark stans interpret as "hate", then they're delusional.🤣 These WNBA players are less worried about praising Caitlin for her existence, and more worried about explaining to casuals, how good and underrated their league is.
they can teach caitlin a lot and perhaps caitlin can teach them how to play in front of sold out stadiums consistently and maintain a worldwide fanbase successfully
Before anyone starts criticizing these individuals I suggest you first do your homework so you will know who they are. Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi are two of the best professional players ever to play in the WNBA. Between them they've won a number of WBB championships at UConn, have been awarded enough Olympic gold medals that you will need almost all the fingers and thumbs on each hand to count them, have been just as successful playing in top leagues abroad and have won many WNBA championships. Nneka is also extremely talented and experienced. They have the lived experience to tell everyone posting what Clark is going to encounter when she enters the league. They are not criticizing her. Some of you, especially those who don't watch the WNBA, think she is going to enter the league and dominate. She will not. Clark is entering a league that has the best professional women's basketball players in the world and they are all fighting for a job. Every other PG in this league, and there are many super talented players, needed time to adjust and make the transition. It will be no different for Clark.
And I watched sue bird get shook so bad she fell face first on the court... she's washed up trash and Diana is such a mean person her personality is horrible. It's more than just being athletic who u are as a person matters to real ppl with souls...
I used to be fans of Bird and Taurasi, they didn't have the skill level of these current players. They're just jealous, talking about playing against 18 year olds and dumb schit. I've been watching Wnba since 1998. The WNBA is so trash that some of the best players in the world don't participate. I hope the new talent coming out of college does the same. Players with talent like Clark, Paige, Fair, Watkins, Fulwiley, and recent college grads should have something better to look at after leaving college. I hope the Wnba folds and something better happens afterwards.
In case anyone is wondering " Is Caitlin Clark great " this video is your answer. Whenever they assemble a panel of experts to hold a discussion about you, your greatness has been confirmed!
Remember the same happened with Sabrina Ionescu. She was a high profile player coming out of college and she got injured her rookie year. They’re not hating on her. They’re just be honest about what she’ll be facing once she gets in the league.
You seriously going to say they aren't hating on her... unbelievable. I just don't get human beings at all. This young lady has gotten nothing but hate from the Wnba. Kelsey Plum is the only one who actually was genuine and reached out to her and warned her. These chics are some old mad bitter fossils.
CC will have an adjustment period as anyone would-I think what will very different for her is she had the freedom to do whatever she wanted on the court-in fact sometimes during time outs she was coaching the team-that will end-What will work in her favor is she never stops moving-it reminds me of Larry Bird-he was always on the run-it will be interesting to watch-there are definately players in the league who try to shut her down-play on ladies
@jhirmalwinfield3871 old schools like rough competition. Seeing you fight hard for the things you wanna achieve. Think people are misunderstood a lot. But understanding it's nothing new under the sun. Every generation has its greats
The thing I always hear is her defense needs to adjust, and I couldn't agree more. She has to be more fierce on defense, she can be when she wants to be, but she takes time off at times. So while I agree, she has a great motor, I do think she shows her tired side by simply not engaging like she needs to on defense.
@jen_nice2059 I watch women and men professional games and have been for years. There is no defense in the women's or men's games.Obvioisly, you don't know what real defense looks like.
Some of these players are ridiculous. Always talking about wanting more support and needing and wanting this that and the third. So when you have a cash cow coming to the league which will ultimately get more viewers to your particular team and some small type of way you don't show the ultimate support for her. Diana is jealous. When she said the stuff about it's going to be a different level like duh. So they want men to support them but they are busy knocking one of their own
They aren't knocking her. These experienced professional players are stating facts. Clark is far from being the first top player to come into the WNBA and every top PG has struggled because the game and league is different. They stated very clearly why it will take time for her to make the transition. She will not have the luxury of playing the weakest guard when playing defense like she does in college. She is going to have to work hard a both ends of the court. There are going to be weeks where she plays a game every other night and in a different city. WNBA players are stronger, faster and more agile. These super talented WNBA players who have years of experience are trying to get her prepared. In addition, the WNBA is a job and for now there are only 144 roster spots. Not sure if Indiana is all of a sudden going to be able to afford flying Charter or if they will because of her popularity. But if not, she will be flying to games on commercial flights and not a Chartered flight like in college.
@@aldrennaw1939 you're missing the point. Obviously there's a learning curve and things will be different in every aspect. The point is if you are trying to get your product more money which in turn gives you more money, doing anything other than giving her props is a detriment.
She's been playing infront of sold out crowds every game this year and her confidence just grows. So she won't have to worry about adjusting to playing "On the Big Stage"..which is one of the biggest adjustments, (Well should be)
@skylermummert24 Lmao! I'm 40 from Minnesota. Grew up playing the game loved it. Watched Every bulls game I could..when the Goat retired lost complete interest. Caitlin actually got me watching the game again. Not in a million years I thought this would happen but it did. She truly brought something unigue to a dead game for women. I think she will draw crowds that have NEVER been seen anywhere she goes..."Saving the whole league"? Not a chance! It'll be like how many tuned in to watch Jordan play but on a woman's level...just hope she does well and stays healthy. That would atleast be a start!
She’s been playing in front of crowds far larger than any wnba game. It’s the wnba players that are going to have to adjust to the crowd size when playing against Caitlin
she'll be fine.. Defense is always hard each step you go up. She has hella good genetics and is gonna get on that pro workout routine with other pros. She's going to be a monster in a couple years.
she's never been expected to play defense in her entire life. We literally don't know if she can do it because her whole life her coaches have allowed her to drop bombs and leave it at that. It's going to be like learning a new sport for her and as rich as she already is, I don't know if she has cause to be hungry. In the NC game, Gabbie played embarrassing defense getting back so badly that she was creating 5 on 4 but at least Gabbie picked a steal out of the air. CC was just standing around guarding air most of the time.
@@slimydick23 reminds me of a lot of the NBA players these days too.. Some of them at least turn it on suddenly and brutally when it really matters. We'll see I guess, but def agree with the rich thing at what like 3.1mil a year lol shit cray
If these are the same ladies that 'called' the game on ESPN, what a joke. They didn't call the game, they barely watched it. Too busy yapping back and forth. At one point, one of them tried to interrupt the gossip session with "Oh, look, 7 point game now" -- "Oh, we've got a 4 point game" -- the fact that ESPN allowed that to happen just shows how far down the toilet their network has fallen. Pathetic.
These are not the same ladies. This is from Taurasi and Bird's show. However, between the two of them they have decades of experience being top professional players in the WNBA and have won many WNBA championships, they have been awarded numerous Olympic Gold medals, have won numerous national championships at UConn and have won top awards internationally. They didn't have to watch this particular game (they've seen Clark play before) to know of what they speak.
She’ll be in the big three where she’ll be playing against grown adult men? 😂😂😂😂😂 Sitting on the bench? You think those men gonna go easy on her because she’s Caitlyn Clark? 😂😂😂😂😂 the internet has made you delusional.
It’s basketball and she good at it I just wanna know like why people think it’s gonna be so hard for her unless somebody know something I don’t like maybe in college the ball had a magnet to the rim n that’s why it went in y’all stop it with that weak emotions ladies
seems like wnba is more difficult than the nba... because you are dealing with women.. women are difficult.. talk about jealousy and envy they have it.. they dont shy in showingb it.. you can feel it in the air.. really!!!
Catlin is also a soccer player that dominated other teams while other sports,,,, back to back games won't be a problem, just give her the ball and a green light to shoot from anywhere, her percentages are best any players history combined especially shooters in the wnba lord have mercy they stink
