Why doesn't anyone think Maresca can/will use a 2-3-5 & not just 3-2-5 in settled play? City do it now because they have technically gifted players to sustain pressure and provides just as much security in transition whether its 2-3 or 3-2 rest defense (2-3 gives you much more command of central areas during attack). I believe we'll be bold since there's no longer Silva who lacked pace that prevented us from pushing high up. That way it allows us to use 2 CBs as the last line (most of our CBs are very fast) one fullback inverting (Cucu) and the other overlapping or under lapping depending on who's playing on the flank. In midfield I believe KDH will play more minutes than we imagine, Palmer would have to adapt to RW because the two 8s are very important parts of Maresca's set up, not just offensively. So if Palmer finds himself in the 8, defensively we will suffer except he starts to burn more energy helping the team. I'm more concerned about our CBs game time, rather than midfield to be honest.
Football is fluid these days.Chelsea is a big club, everybody will get a chance to contribute. Only Caicedo and Palmer appear irreplaceable at the moment, every other person will justify their need to play.This is not a club of 11 good players, we should have 22 good players that can start. With this squad we have, there is room for flexibility. Cole Palmer should not be playing every game, particularly the carabao games, he needs to be rested so he can be fresh for crucial games
How about a 4-3-1-2 formation, with Palmer as d sole no.10, Nkunku playing as supporting striker and KDH playing the left-hand side of the 3-man midfield
Moresca always uses 2 no 10s so both will play definately in that midfield. Cole from the left KDH from the right.Our 2 most expensive midfielders can't be both benched so either Enzo or caicedo will play deep with an inverted fullback. Myself i'll prefer Lavia in that position when he's fit.
@@sergeynestgerov4843 sadly I agree. We have two players now that will pull up their sleeves and do the dirty energetic work in Caicedo and Dewsbury Hall. Both are technically better players. But Gallagher puts up a fight like I’ve never seen. I still remember when the team was completely out of form and everyone was hiding in attack and defence under Lampard he was the one guy that showed up. It’s these moments I hope that other players can emulate.
I don't like Enzo game for anything. No scoring sense and assist. I will prefer Cucurella to support Caicedo at the Midfield as seen towards the ending of last season when Enzo was injured. We won almost all the games. If Maresca needs to do better in his first season he needs to sacrifice Enzo in that midfield.
We can play with caicedo as a pivot hall at the Left half space Enzo at the right half Parma at the right wing space sterling or mudrik at the left wing space then James attack the line at the wing space Enzo drop from the right half space while Parma will move immediately to the right and at same time James can invert at same, Enzo attack the right half space parma stay wide which I believe with the level of their understanding we can a better rotation like this from our right side like Portugal in ongoing euro cup which cancelo,vitinha and Bernardo are applying this rotation like this and his even what will apply btw Enzo, sterling and James against Liverpool in the second half of our opening premier league match last season
I don't know if it's another channel or yours but what is so bad in having enzo and caceido as double pivot with an attacking fullback in either James or chilwel. Everybody is saying enzo is a natural fit for replacing enzo so why are we expecting to play him up front as one of the 8s when we know it doesn't work. To me what works on paper at least is James and cucurella as fullbacks, james being an overlapping fullback, he is great at that, palmer starts as right winger and moves into the right half space with James overlapping. The playing personel doesn't matter as long as everyone understands what they are meant to do in any given position. To me Spain's pattern suits chelsea more. Enzo for rodri, caciedo for Fabian Ruiz, then Palmer for pedri, others can fill up the rest.
It will be work putting Nkunku Enzo and KDH in this team even Mudryk might be hindered with Sterling asking for games...Also Palmer should not be returned to RW NOOOO ...It will not be easy Gallagher might not be sold but ends up rotting on the bench Carney also
I know this is for content purposes but in a few words. What recruitment is doing. 1. We only have Palmer in that left 10 role, was effective at RW. Admit it doesn't affect him. 2. We only have Noni at RW, after failing to get Olise. Solution: get SBD who can chip in for Palmer instead. If Noni is injured, no problem,if Palmer is out, no problem. I find this perfectly balanced and competence-led. All these Enzo stories got mi ribs cracking man! He's what we got instead of Olise in a bid to balance the TEAM.
Ndidi is the cm who pushed up. Caicedo will be the one to push up. He'll have 8+ assists due to his effectiveness in counter-pressing, winning the ball high and don't forget ranks in the 90s for insightful passing. He'll grow into this role. Enzo will be in Kroos role. Deep and only joins the attack later on.
We don't have just this season to compete, this season alone we'll be competing in 4 competitions and next season in cwc and hopefully ucl. With the new format of the ucl and other completions, surely everyone will have enough minutes to their legs.
We don't need to play all of the them at ones we can use dewsbury as a impact sub or as a rotation player to eas le the number of game times on our players people forget we are going to have a lot of games this season dewsbury amd be a rotation player who start here and there depending on the situation and opposition
I hate that people forget that to compete you need quality in your bench too. Look at trosard for arsenal or Alvarez for city. Not everyone can start but in case of injuries you need someone who can fill in without dropping team qualiy
Nkunku actually plays dat Dewsbury Hall position on d left, while Palmer does dat from d right. Jackson plays in attack except we get Osimehn. I don’t think we’ll get Jonathan David as Nkunku can deputise in attack. We’ll still need to sell at least 3 players and loan a bit more to trim down the squad.
I think sterling can redempt this season if he play together with Dewsbury hall, I watch this highlight and I see some details of Dewsbury who want pass inside defenders and sterling is known as perfect profile te use in this situation
Enzo is undroppable in that maresca system,enzo will be our deep lying playmaker always dictating play from deep areas,just the way he used Winks in that Leicester team
We can't fit everything on the pitch. At least, we will have a very good bench for substitutions. Dewsbury will probably be on the bench with Gallagher, and Santos. We could have Cowill, Gusto, Viega, Disasi, Sterling, Madueke, Guiu and even Nkunku on the bench for tactical changes. That's 11 players who can set up as a team B and can beat most teams in the Premier league. Even Chukwemeka will be on the bench. Our bench will be better than last season when Poch at times didn't have anyone to turn to when things are going south.

It's not that easy..Nkunku will be in the first team 💯💯💯Where do you put him???Then with Caicedo and Enzo playing together means you either drop KDH or Palmer so you can have 3 midfielders and no one can drop Palmer or fans will tear you apart....It's not that simple
I honestly don’t think KDH starts. He’ll definitely be a good rotation but I don’t see a world where Enzo and Caicedo don’t start while we sacrifice Palmer tying him down to the wing

Palmer on the wing won't be a sacrifice go watch how Enso used him to win man city pl2 , his best season bl4 coming to Chelsea, and even pep at the senior team esp against Arsenal during the community shield, watch his goal carefully you will see that walker overlaps while he cut in and score, we have reece James and custo to do that
besides in a system of positional play players interchange positions a lot so kdh can always switch to the right for Palmer to come in or the right back overlaps
It will be so hard to choose a working X1 than people think without holding back players like Mudryk and Enzo with nKUNKU in x1 and KDH being managers signing ... Also Palmer must remain 10.... with out reactionary selfish fans who wants their favorites to play...It will be chaos and Maresca will be gone in January
