Woman say misandrist things against men all the time. It's always considered a joke, and it's always considered "okay". I've seen women say truly horrific things about men's very high suicid/E rates. As much as these things disgust me they are not terrorism and nor should anyone be punished as if it was.

This will just make young men more frustrated than they already are.

Trying to criminalise emotions, opinions, and expressions is not going to end well. It's time people were taught emotional maturity rather than hide the parts of the world that upsets them.

So out of touch. This is only going to alienate young men more and make them feel like second class citizens more than they already do. Instead of trying to criminalize their thoughts why not try and understand them?

I don't think anyone should be espousing extreme hate towards anyone. Men or women. But are we really going to put _nasty words_ and _hurtful comments_ on the same level as *Terrorism!?* It seems exceptionally hyperbolic. The media's sensationalism around "incel culture" is now being taken as the actual truth, instead of being seen for the obvious click bait it is. No one has the right to _not_ be offended. Anyone can call me anything, and I might be annoyed, but I shouldn't then have the right to report them to the police because my feelings got hurt! This _encourage friends and neighbours to report one another_ is an absolutely disgusting, dystopian nightmare! And finally, who the f*ck are any government to decide what is or isn't hateful!? What should or shouldn't be offensive!? It's an incredibly dangerous step which strips people of their right to free speech, disguised as something to protect a group from a problem that's been vastly inflated, to sell papers.

Most criminals and bad men come from single mothers or abusive mother households? Why arent we holding misandry responsibe for the mess they are creating and raising? Why dies siciety never hold these bad women accountable?

To be honest, I've been passionate about equality since my teens and I feel threatenned by terms like "toxic masculinity" and the non polarized "toxic feminity". The two terms examined together seem to blame me, a man, for all the problems in the world.

My friend got battered physically and mentally by his ex, so much so that years after his death it was apparent he was so damaged by this treament that he'd never recovered, people knew about it at the time but it was dumbed down and of course he was a man and she was a woman. I cannot believe there's still people out there that refuse to believe this doesn't happen to women let alone men, there are women out there that are just as hateful to men as the other way around, my friend died early this year, we miss him and wish we could of stopped his much prolonged pain, look out for your sons as much as you would your daughters❤

We need to stop minimising this issue as a 'teenage boy' thing. There are fully grown men who think like this, they're far more dangerous to women than pathetic 14 year olds.

While I appreciate the goal, criminalizing is rarely the best approach. Education, discussion in school about what hurting others means, recognizing ideas intended to cause pain. Campaigns with parents and adults to learn different. It's a lot of work for a long game - not exactly government's strong suit

Although actions does need to be taken, this kind of prejudice is the symptom of a sick society that damages it's people.

Why is misogyny a universal big problem whereas misandry isn't? I think all of these people who theorize that it's a purely "socially constructed" phenomenon are way off the mark. Yes - social influence plays a key role but there is something about the dynamic between genders that causes men to resent women MORE than women resent men. There's a market and appetite for influencers who play into this feeling of misogynistic resentment - but hang on - why isn't there the same for young women? Why aren't they resenting guys in the same way? on the same scale? I think we need to get to the root cause of the issue and instead of treating young men and women "the same" - look at the issues that tend to affect young men and why they end up feeling this way, why they end up going down this path. Giving guidance and motivation to young lads is something we need a lot more of. Sure - we can criticize the influencers and online social groups that are based around this underlying resentment towards women but tackling the cause is even more important - the state of mental health of young men is the key here. We have millions of young men who can't find a girlfriend, feel worthless, have below average social skills, and feel like life is stacked up against them - they can either go down the route of self-loathing or down the route of projecting that loathing toward women. Is it any wonder that these lads would rather develop a coping mechanism of doing the latter rather than the former? I think we need to stop treating young lads and girls with a "one size fits all" approach and start looking at the unique issues that young lads face - and how to cope with rejection and failure in the dating world. We need to start telling lads that they're not useless if they can't get a date. Focus on self-improvement rather than self-loathing - and the misogyny will just evaporate away.
