How Wish Connects to the Disney Universe 

I think “Once Upon a Studio” is the closest thing we ever get a revival of Disney’s House of Mouse!

I like how Wish not only connects the Disney-Verse, it fits in with it too.

I'll say this, Wish feels like a movie that's meant for the Disney super fans. If you're just a casual viewer you're not gonna get the same experience out of watching it, but if you're a die hard fan of Disney Animation, there's plenty to love.

"WISH" is the story of how the mytho of the Disney universe created especially with the wonderful tribute short "Once Upon A Studio" in honoring the wishes that Walt Disney made centuries ago.

Her grandfather says "knock knock knock on wood" when he hopes his wish comes true but doesn't want to jinx it, an exact line by Bruno from Encanto. Also, the wish after the Peter Pan wish clearly references Mary Poppins. Another reference was made to Aladdin when Asha is being chased and seems to have hit a dead end, only to find a secret hideaway.

After what has transpired in Wish, Once Upon A Studio just reverberates strongly than ever. It's something a few of us likes to call "The DisneyVerse." No matter what the time or setting is, ALL of these characters we've gotten to know from Walt Disney's lifetime to the modern day all coexist with their own communities, but they are capable of visiting them whenever they want.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS MOVIE

It looks Wish is a fantstic movie to connect all the magic and wishes in the Disney movies, with all the references, specially includes the sky with the brigther star that the characters contemplated longing or in search of answers

The part where the star said I have more wishes to grant was a clear sign that it was the star in other movies. The scene where magnifico said he turned promisedland to never land was a clear reference to Peter Pan. Idk why she didn’t mention these things 🙃

Not a Disney movie but i swear that the bear and the one stag are boog and elliot from open season or at least a disney version of them...i mean they have similar sounding voices! But to think that the star WISH is the origin for my favorite disney movies and why the animals can talk is really cool!! Robin hood, the fox and the hound, zootopia...that is really cool

I saw the movie yesterday and it was really good, even though I would never understand why many people think it’s bad but I find it really good.

I think wish is absolutely brilliant to me and my daughter loved it. One of the best Disney films that I’ve done in recent years and gone back to how they originally did them. This is where they started. This is where they need to carry on was absolutely amazing and great to see all the other ones Link into it ❤ well done to the team and around involved with that film

Honestly, it would interesting to see a crossover between Wish and Frozen. Not because, they were made by the same crew. But also, the world they set up in Wish can actually work in the world of Frozen. Maybe in the upcoming Frozen movies they can make cameos. But that’s just wishful thinking.

I’m starting to think all Disney movies take place in the same universe with Wish connecting the dots.

I think Disney need to make a new animated crossover film that’s feature all the characters from Disney animated classics.

I'm a bit surprised that the cartoon shows from the Disney Afternoon will never get a mention. From the likes of Ducktales, to Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Gargoyles, Gummy Bears, and other shows from Disney Channel's early 2000's days will be connected. They're part of Disney too. Remember that.

Here’s my personal opinion on Wish because I have seen a fair amount of negative reviews because I get the criticisms and sure there are some flaws in between but I think the overall purpose is to commemorate the 100th anniversary and I have to respectfully disagree with the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, not to mention my deepest condolences to those who felt disappointed with the movie. Its not perfect by any means but I think its still better than the recent ones we’ve had been getting regardless if people like it or not. Like a lot people, I still want to continue with Disney movies but it really disappoints me that they are going to stop with physical media because I am fully aware of the revenue has been massively increased but at the same time, I always loved the physical media for the better quality and etc. Not to mention that I really missed the the traditional/original 2D format/era of that Disney was known for. And again, I understand the criticisms and they’re valid but I still loved it personally!!! 😮😏 #MsMojo

Good movie and I've noticed at the end, they made a lot of references towards other movies. Like the sheep talked about zoo topia or the names of characters and how they match other characters. Like the one friend that made the wish to fly, and his name was Peter.

Wish is canonically the original Disney story. The stories in every Disney film are run on by the characters’ wishes. And they need to pursue it themselves to make it come true, or sacrifice it for something more noble and unselfish. Magnifico tried to convince everyone to give him their wishes, so he can grant them to forget their worries. And he tried to put a never ending sorrow on everyone. Now that Magnifico has been defeated, the stories are told the proper method of the wishes.

I loved the movie. Not sure why it has gotten such bad reviews. I did catch a lot of the Easter eggs, but wasn't aware Wish was the creation of the wish star, pre Pinocchio. I did stay and see the last seen of the Grandfather, but didn't know he was writing the story. That makes his Wish make sense! Thank you for the explanation!

Don't understand why the hate of Wish. I thought it was great. 9/10. Wish the Once Upon a Studio short was connected to Wish. Like a little short. And the best part about it, it didn't have any Disney characters that are trashy, like The Brave Little Toaster, Elena, Sophia the First and more.

What Wish just did was provide more possibilities over what the Disney-verse can bring! Kingdom Hearts has more to work with should the additional Disney animated films make it in there as other worlds!

10:32 I wish the Disney short Film “Once Upon A Studio” was released Theatrically alongside with WISH & I would come & only watch Once Upon A Studio on the BIG SCREEN. But it didn’t, it was a great disappointment. Just like some other animated film that was supposed to premiere Theatrical in American Movie Theaters December 7th but it went unreleased & I have never heard of an unreleased film in my life.
