The process to move all these vehicles and equipment is huge. Whenever you see the President travel overseas, that footprint is even bigger. When the media uses the $200k operating cost per hour for AF1, it’s not even close to the cost of movement. Good video overall. Great points covered on prep, movement and execution.
No president should ever lecture us about the environment when the carbon imprint you emit is more than a football stadium full of fans do in a lifetime.
Did anyone else notice that the section about the president's plane begins atexactly 7:47, which is actually the model of the aircraft - a Boeing 747(-200B)?
When traveling is a time to enjoy personal time, the right to privacy is very much needed. The president’s safety is an issue, so it is hard to say whether the president can have the right to privacy
Air Force One does NOT refer to the call sign of any fixed wing aircraft that flies the President. It only refers to the call sign of an Air Force aircraft flying the President. If the President was flying on an Army aircraft the call sign would be Army One, a Marine aircraft call sign would be Marine One, a Navy aircraft call sign would be Navy One, a Coast Guard aircraft call sign would be Coast Guard One. If the President was flying on a non-military aircraft the call sign would be Executive One.
The call sign Air Force One is the designation for any US Air Force aircraft carrying the President whether its a fixed wing or rotary aircraft. The same is true for any US Navy aircraft it is Navy One, for US Marine Corps its Marine One, for any US Army its Army One. If the President is on board a civillian aircraft the official designation is Executive One. When Bush 43 flew onto the USS Abraham Lincoln he was inside Navy One. When the President is not onboard the plane "Air Force One" it uses the call sign SAM 28000 or SAM 29000. SAM is the abreviation for Special Air Mission. I love your videos, just make sure that the info your putting out is accurate.
How many sets of presidential land and air vehicle convoys does the secret Service have for trips where the president has to make stops at multiple countries in three days? I always notice the same vehicles waiting at the footsteps of the plane stairs before the Air Force One aircraft departs and after it lands at the next country/stop? .. How many c-17s are required to carry all the residential vehicles needed for the convoy? ... Where do the presidential convoy vehicles park after it drops off the president?
got to take care of grandpa. I'm sure his knees would appreciate it. honestly for an octogenarian he seems to walk pretty well. most everyone that age needs a walker or wheelchair.
However, I feel they have failed miserably. They let the stairs of Air Force One tripped up the Commander In Chief numberous times and still get away with it. They failed to arrest that gust of wind which knocked the Commander In Chief off of that bicycle he was riding. Also, they let those evil grinning cadets get away with placing a podium 1 step higher than the ground, which cause the Commander In Chief to tumble to the floor looking for the sucker he dropped.
Guy belongs in a retirement home at that age. High chances a balloon pop would give him a hear attack, and then those security guys would descend down on the kid. Hilariously sad if it ever happens.
We need trump to kick the bucket, or held without bond. Anyone that supports him is a traitor to everything that America stands for. But those that support him, also would love to see our country be more like Russia.
And this is the guy that wants to take away our gas stoves and vehicles. He tells us to go all electric and to be carbon neutral because of climate change.😂😂😂
fun fact: when our president traveled to the uk they got into a fight with the british government because we insisted on bringing 3 suv’s with miniguns on them and the brits called us “excessive” ;) makes me proud be be an american
Air Force One is for those aircraft flown by the Air Force that the President Travels on. Marine One is Marine aircraft and there has been a Navy One. To date there has been no Army One as of yet.
Chez nous en Suisse, le président prend le bus ou le tram, comme tout le monde. La plupart des suisses, ignore qui est président et son nom, qui voudrait le kidnaper ?? pour en faire quoi ??
I seen in a movie once how someone put explosives under a manhole cover to take out the motorcade. wonder if they check for that along the entire route. that would be quite difficult to do I imagine.
Just the logistics involved must be a nightmare to plan to make sure everything goes like clockwork! 👍(not to mention preparations for all unseen potential threats!)
Regardless of how you feel about former, current, and future presidents, I think it was a good idea to keep the classic AF1 design for the next generation 747s due to be delivered in a few years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That sky blue and white paint scheme with that specific serif font is simply iconic. Likely one of, if not the most, recognizable planes in the world, why change it?
