I been asking for a V10 forever and you always said you got no interest in getting one. I always said that you have to have one in your collection it’s such an iconic engine. Now I’m happy.
Dropping the subframe enough to remove the sump whilst leaving in situ is class. I dropped my subframe completely to replace the rod bearings on my m5. Aston is a master on these s85’s.
The E63 ///M6 is one of my favourite cars, sure an F90 ///M5 would leave it for dead on acceleration but I never feel like it's underpowered when I drive mine.Plus the sound of the V10 is glorious.
Driving the e63 M6 or e60 M5 platform is an enjoyable experience all around. Love these cars! Please share more content as it is interesting to hear your perspective on these.
Looking forward to the drive and then seeing what's in store for this car. Maybe someone makes a replacement trunk lid so you can get rid of that Bangle monstrosity.
Great video as always. Interested to hear your feedback on the Continental 7's. My Michelin PSS tyres are really struggling now my B58 is mapped (Stage 2)
2010 M6 Competition is running like nothing can hold it. 146.000km on the clock. Rod bearings done at 113.000km. SMG and Throttle Actuators failed. Diff was replaced. Oil Cooler gasket was leeking. That’s it. Facelift Competition is another level of M6 E63 and no one knows!

It looks like you didnt check the bearing clearances, why not? Would of thought after that much mileage you would want to check in case undersize bearings were required
Fantastic work from Aston & Hash👌 Conti 7’s Imran🤔….. MPS4S’s all day any day!! Your plans to put carbon airbox set up on to release the noise along with an Akropovic system 🤔 Yeah…. Do it do it!😂
Have heard very good things about them from many people we trust and for about 25% cheaper than PS4S happy to give them a try! Of course full Eventuri carbon plenum and intake coming 🙏🏻
@@darrenboston342depends on your driving style. I didn't like the mp4s's that were on my car, grip levels in hot weather weren't what I expected. Lots of independent tests out there say the conti's are excellent tyres. YMMV.
@@TheSuperchargedM5Dog should put Cup 2R’s on then👌 Personally I’ve never had any issues with grip from my P4S’S. Like I say Conti’s are good tyres but I’ve got Michelin’s on all my cars & never had any issues at all.
We'd advise changing them by 70k miles based on the 100s we've seen over the years. We consider it a must do 'major service' that if the car hasn't had done, pretty much regardless of mileage we would carry out so that we could enjoy the car with peace of mind. The Mahle Motorsport bearings we would not expect to wear at the same rate as OEM - But even with the OEM part when the car is correctly warmed up, maintained and cared for they should last a very long time, far more miles that anyone will realistically now do in one of these cars.
All this work and no Evolve headers installed😢. I can’t imagine a V10 without the Evolve headers on your Evolve car… Or are you guys gonna do all this work twice, dropping the whole subframe and stuff?
Everything will be done in stages, it would be a bit of a boring project if we did it all at once! But for customers who want rod bearings and headers, yes it’s cheaper at the same time 😉
Having a V10 always makes sense......if you can afford to run it properly. In a world with increasingly soulless EV and Hybrid powertrains (I'm looking at you new C63 AMG) then engines and cars with character will always be special and sought after.

you need to run some engine cleaner like marvel or sea foam through that motor for about 50 miles with oil .. then drain and refill again ... top off with Royal purple XPR best oil lab and bearing test prove it
@@EvolveAutomotiveabsolutely this in spades. Previous use could border on the absolute reckless of nailing it from cold, or babying it. You never know until you open it up or it goes boom.
@@EvolveAutomotive too low. Should be at like 500k easy. People are sleeping. Btw I'm getting another e92 m3 or e63 within a month. I'll be doing your shocks. But do they work with the kw has kit that fits on the stock edc struts?
They could be worn more than you think if those 34k miles were accumulated over a bunch of small distance drives, i.e. the car spending an inordinate amount of time in warm up phase. Low mileage is not always a good thing.
There is belief that a lot of the wear happens very early on in the engine's life, and then it's potentially luck of the draw afterwards. The chief considered reason is the 1st owners not really caring as they have a warranty.
I agree the issue is overblown by a mile. However I think it gets so much press because of how catastrophic it is. Regular oil changes, warm up procedures and overall maintenance and both s65/85 are just fine.
