Idea: Use mobs as protection. Literally all of the prison escapes rely on human error, so use mobs like the warden(ironic), or other mobs as defense. You can still have human guards, but I think mobs would be easier.

i love how everyone thinks the warden controls the prison the warden manages it not controlling it a security chief(in my country) is who should control the control room and the warden manages resources, weapons, visit time, upgrading prison

Idea: for killchecks, force the player to spawn ~20 blocks above the bed, as this will leave their items just floating out of reach below. Also, to prevent an Ivory-style escape where the prisoner tosses items into the cells themselves, just add a step to the protocol where the guards force the player to wait for 10 minutes (why not 5? So any possible potion effect will wear off, including invisibility) before entry. Also, maybe add a few more composters so the guards can see every redstone line and cell, preventing possible escapist actions.

OK sooo.... prison ideas (apologies for dislexcic writing.) 1. Ender pearl charge station. The Idea being when the prisoner checks in they are forced to throw a dozen pearls into dozens of stasis chambers. The idea being that you seal the area around the chambers afterwards with several layer of obsidian and in an emergency they can be activated bring ing the prisoner back into them as a temporary holding cell at any point. This would give you prison a extra fail safe as these chambers could even be activated in sequence to prevent the prisoner from being able to break obsidian. Additionally you could put manny of these around the prison in various sectors so if a prisoner did escape they would have to activate all of them before leaving prolonging their escape greatly. 2. A improved nether and pre nether entry system the Idea being you now have 4 kill checks. first is an external kill check that is done by hand out in the open no redstone just a bed a guard and a prisoner to prevent them from hiding anything. (The idea being the prisoner can't abuse any of the prisons systems if their not even in the prison yet. Then you have a guard escort them into the nether. Once inside the nether (note this is usually unused for some reason) a guard will place a key and to destroy the portal so they are both trapped in the nether together. Then the guard will have them go through an automatic kill check that reactivates the portal allowing them to the actuall prison itself. Once inside the guard will immediately do another manuall kill check followed by a two player detector and an additional automatic kill check. Then the prisoner then will complete the stasis charg station mentioned earlier and be escorted into the main cell. 3. The main cell. This cell is a tall cell with a drop down to allow for guards to drop in and a boat glitch bed beneath for the prisoner to set their spawn to. Guards will drop down in with the prisoner during their shifts (actually keeping watch from the cell itself) When a guards shift ends they are telleported out of the main cell and a new guard is droped in. The idea is that the prisoner can be best watched by a guard when the guard is actually there. 4. Finally the guard room most prisons contain a whole array of Armor equipping stations and OP items this is a huge flaw, as in a prisoners escape they can just loot your stash. All the guard room would contain is an enderchest (guards would carry their own equipment) and the only thing guards would be auto equipt with is a pickaxe in case of people trying to block of respawn chambers. OK so disclaimer I'm bad with redstone I'm bad at typing and communicating my ideas through text however I have allot of game knowlege and these are just a few of my many prison ideas. i’ve wanted to recreate the prison from Andor for a while. despite it being a whole new idea, this video still helped me significantly. i may actually get something done

I have an amazing idea. Make a prison with a 10 layer wall of observers facing the opposite direction of each other every other layer. Do this on all 4 sides as well as the floor and roof. Set the cell on the world spawn chunk so the prisoner cant die in order to get out. Make the observers link up to a chunk ban specified for their chunk only, so when updated it kicks the person breaking in/out. Also make an infinite cobble generator with water and elder guardians surrounding it on the outside layer of the observers. That way if the prisoner/intruder does manage to get past the chunk bans they will be faced with that obstacle as well. Idc what you call it and you dont have to give credit

*Cell:* Bed under end portal *Bed protection:* The prisoner's head is inside the portal block upon respawning *Visiting:* Use any other stronghold, to meet up with the prisoner in the End. *Outside protection:* a small obsidian box around the portal, protected by end crystals in such a way that the crystals can't be pushed out of the way, and the obsidian is unreachable. *Getting the prisoner inside:* You finish the obsidian box after the prisoner set it's spawnpoint. *Guards:* A few guards standing arourd, and making sure that nobody builds the automatic bedrock breaking machine from Prototech, and uses it to delete the prison. *Job done. You have an item proof, inescapable prison.* Good luck Mythrodak!

In my prison we don’t allow visitors. (It’s a hardcore prison) and if anybody would break a single block in the prison it executes the prisoner.

A good cell is a long obsidian tube and there's soul sand at the bottom and every few seconds a magma block is pushed in front of it bring u down then gets pushed back so ur pushed up so you cant can't break any obsidian since the progress goes when your pulled down

What do i start building with? I had an idea of starting with the cell and building out the hallway and stuff but idk if that would work out. I built my first prison on my smp and i started with the portal first but i made 2 portals in the nether because i didint know you could use only 1 lol but after the portal i built the wall and everything like redstone lines didint fit so i made holes in the wall for them. I want to rebuild my first prison but better but idk what piece of the prison i should atart with. So which part do i start with? Not

Hey. Sven i think of a pressure plate or a tripwire thing that lights up a lamp to show where the player is in the prison so the guards/warden can track you

When i build mine, i will have quards but will also have staff like chef,(fr feeding prisoners) mechanic,(incase any redstone fails) checker (fr visitors) and secutity guard (im making sec cams with command blocks and he can close doors and set alarms off and stuff) and more

Step one: make sure that your prisoner is not Ivory (mythrodak). If your prisoner is, than you can let her out, you can't stop her either.

I know this is off topic, but here’s a suggestion for a prison. It’s name will be Jeffory’s Judgement **yay a prison without vault in the name** The concept is basically Mythrodak’s punishment for killing Jeffory the Pig. It’s pretty much just Gaia’s Vault 2.0 with a different design, *BUT IT’S ACTUALLY GAIA’S VAULT 14.0 WITH A DIFFERENT DESIGN*

To make the walls more wither-proof you can add witches to the lava/water (they can use fire res or water breathing) to distract the withers and maybe even kill it.
