It's always the tiniest little detail that make's things sound unique. I have layered snares, OTT'ed snares, EQ'ed snares but never really could figure out the perfect sound and now I see that it was all in plain sight. Great video my guy. This definitely deserves a Like.
Thats facts bro... I tend to find overcomplicating the process makes it worse then keeping it simple.. everytime I discover a new sound and remake it, it's always the simple effects and processes but they are masterfully put together in unique ways... 100000% agree with your comment bro 🙏
Now resample that slower and you've got a JACK Ü "take ü there" snare. If we pay attention to Skrill's discography we see so many techniques telegraphed in plain sight.
Could be, but it's easier for me to explain the process + have the ability to make my own so that I can customize the sound! You can try this trick with other one shots too, like hi hats, bass shots, instruments etc.. has a really cool effect
Just randomly stumbled across this. Found out that I'm not super interested in this particular subject matter at the moment (I'm currently exploring percussion techniques that are all synth, no samples), but kept watching because the video is so well made. The script, the editing, the demo sounds, the narration, the production values … all good, and essentially no filler or extraneous fluff. Fuck yes I'm subscribing for more; I wanna learn those Mystic Arts! 👍
Haha my man, don't cap 🧢 the vid aint that well edited 😂😂 but appreciate that bro.. Virtual Riot has, and AU5 both have some awesome vids on creating snares from scratch with synths ie Serum, vital or even kick2, I think those wud help bro
I always wondered how he made his snares so punchy, thank you so much for the tutorial man. It will help me a lot with my music production. Thanks a lot
@@wayveemusic yes that too.. I find now a days, most samples already have decent transients, just need a bit more attack so a glue comp or even transient shaper like kilo hearts transient shaper at 20% is helpful... Especially when you then run the sound into a saturator, sounds amazing
@@mysticartsmelodies yepp, also you can use Shaperbox2 or 3 to shape your sound even with multiband mode + certain limiter setting and you get superclean punchy drums, but I would use ott much, it ruins your phase
Yes man! They have some amazing distortion modes... I've been messing with Dynamic Tube in abelton ( are you abelton?) And it gets some wild effects too
Yessir, God works in mysterious ways 🙏 Glad u liked the video bro! U can try this technique with basses too, like a Yoi or womp bass, sounds really cool!
hmm - I downloaded it from dropbox and dragged it into both a MIDI and audio rack, works good for me bro but if you're still having issues, DM me on insta and lets review it in more details bro! 😃
Word, search up how to make "pan snares" tons of tutorials for our there! essentially it's a regular dubstep or dnb snare with a Foley hit of hitting a pan to add that metallic layer to it, hope that helps!
Hmmm, maybe try adding saturation and compression and EQ around the fundamental frequency of the snare... If nothing lemme see if I can make a quick vid on it 😂
