At first Svetlana pulled one box from under the table and I was like, "Oh cool, they sent her a new Dremel," but then the boxes kept coming, and I had a vision of the table stacked with everything Dremel makes, and Svetlana trying to peer over it at the camera.
I recommend using the micro for the doggo's nails! Dremeling is my favorite way to maintain my dog's nails and is very safe / dog friendly as long as you keep in mind how hot they get, which is completely mitigated by only keeping the dremel on the nail for a second at a time or use a diamond bit that will not heat up. My dog's both much prefer the dremel to clippers and I can get much closer and smoother finish than clippers alone. The dogs will be weirded out the first few times you do it, but if you're consistent about not letting them squirm away and giving them lots of rewards for staying still and patient, they'll eventually learn the dremel isn't scary at all and more comfortable for everyone involved. The vibrations from the dremel are far less uncomfortable than the pressure from a set of nail clippers to most dogs that are conditioned to both tools properly in my professional experience. My dogs will fall asleep during their nail sessions with the dremel.
Great video! I have been using a Dremel for 20 years now. But even I can learn something new. There were so many valuable tips in your video. Thank you!
I started crafting for LARP 1 year 1/2 ago and I still can't believe how much progress I made thanks to your videos. Still a looooong way to go for me, but there doesn't seem to be an end to learning and improving. You're an outsanding teacher, thank you =)
When you whipped out the big box...then the next few boxes...then the rest of the boxes! My heart actually stopped and it's not even ME. Awesome sponsorship and WOW congrats on all the new dremels!
These videos are amazing! I asked for two books from your website for Xmas, hopefully I’ll get them lol. But listening to you say don’t worry about messing up and practicing, makes me remember I need to have patience. I get frustrated seeing all these amazing things, but I need to remember, you guys have more experience with cosplay/prop making. So thank you so much!
Thank you very much, beautiful woman for giving us these teachings to those of us who like this work since many depend on this beautiful work, a kiss and a big hug
Svetlana's just livin the dream... Getting sponsored and sent a BUNCH of stuff by Dremel is probably every cosplayers dream AAAHHH. Great video!!! and tips are amazinG!
A great 3D print idea for this set up would a a little hook for the shop vac nozzle to clip onto so you do not need to keep it in place with your legs and table edge :D
Have you ever looked into making a vacuum table? Hook up a vacuum to a box, perforated the top, and put a layer of filtering foam (like in air filters) over that. Pulls everything down across the whole area.
I started using a Dremel cutting wheel to cut instead of a box cutter to cut my foam. It was so much easier than sharpening the box cutter between each cut. Just go really slow and carefully as the cutting wheel can get away from you
I have a dremel press that you attach the machine on top & make precise depth cuts. I never thought to make the screws & rivets with the end of a barrel, I have to go try now! :)
The dremel 4000 is a very good machine but i didnt have 100$ for it.. so i bought the 3000 which is 1 tier down but perfectly fine for this type of work. it was only 60$
I would like to thank you very much. its content has always been interesting but it is remarkable how much it improved from a didactic point of view. A super hug. Bolinha Studios.
This was super helpful! I got a set of bits for my birthday and I had no idea what each of them did I usually just used my dremel for just sanding but now I'm getting into a bigger project and this is super helpful! Thanks!
Bravo!! This channel always has great content, brilliant tips, and is well-produced. The work and time you put into this is Greatly Appreciated!! Thank you!! And, I have to mention, the lovely hostess of these videos is simply adorable!! Now, I'm off to find two corgi's so I can begin crafting! ;)
I can't believe I didn't know that's how you're supposed to change the sanding bits. Also, I like my dremel a lot, but I find it really hard to find additional bits for it - ones that aren't super cheap and terrible.
I have a dremel lite and I like it a lot 😊 It still gets the job done, it’s just not the “absolute best”…….. and not all cosplayers can afford the “absolute best” tools. So, the dremel lite is a great alternative
Amazing! You are an awesome artist. You're visions are next level. Too cool. You just gave me inspiration and motivation to start learning and create my visions. Hope to share my experiences and creations with you.
Not yet tested, but I had an Idea for how you could simulate damage to your pieces: let them "experience" Battle. If your piece is flimsy, you probably shouldn't do this though, and depending on the piece, you may need assistance from somebody. Take something long and narrow, like a sturdy ruler for example, and take a few swings at your prop. You could also cover "edge" of the ruler (or whatever you use) in contrasting paint to the foam, so it leaves easily visible marks, that you then can go over with a Dremel. That way, you can get organic/natural looking battle damage.
