My brother lived in a apartment complex in the early 80's He drove a 67 Firebird, every time he locked it up someone would break into it and steal the stereo or try to steal the car. (He had a kill switch on it). He started leaving it unlocked and in nice weather he would leave the windows down. Nobody ever bothered it.

A dude I work with had his hellcat stolen in our work parking lot! I work at a car plant and these dudes were in and out in less than a minute. Just gone…. We figured they had been plotting on doing it a while. We told dude to not park that car in the same spot everyday. He thought his shit was safe. NOPE!

I usually take the windshield off and both doors, take the trunk, hood and interior out, take off the rims and pull out the engine and transmission after I park it to run errands. I also torch the frame that way no one is tempted..

Best advice I can give mopar owners is to pull a fuse or 2. Each time you leave the car. I know it’s a pain in the ass but cheaper then a kill switch and it will have the thieves going crazy thinking they trying to steal a dud.
