actually they are the 4 nicest people in the world, especially if you are a Blink. All 4 of them have great voices and can rap. Take a look at them in concert starting with Ddu Du Ddu Du Tokyo Dome Remix. It is in Japanese (since they were in Japan) and English. You cannot compare them to anybody because the next closest thing to them in ITZY and Blackpink is insanely better than anybody else.

Im gonna explain why BLɅϽKPIИK is BLɅϽKPIИK. Let me preface my comment I grew up listening to rock and hip hop. Granted Im old as hell. There is no group like them in da world. I got into them 5 years and now Im definitely a Blink. The word comes to mind is fierce. The beats, their raps, their vocals(which dont get praised enough), their dancing skills, and most of all they are swaggy as hell. They are da best girl group eva. This not a hyerbole. Im speaking facts. They are making history as we speak. C yall at da concert.

Blackpink is an experience 😂 In KPop, they do take the music industry very serious, this is passion for them. All the professionals involved in this industry works very hard to come up with fantastic music, from lyrics, musical arrangements, music videos, sets, MV directors, editors, the styling, the singing & rapping, the choreography, the lighting, the sets, everything. The audience of KPop (the fans especially in South Korea) expects a lot from their idols and only support one group or solo artists. The fandom culture is not in other countries that anyone can like/love and support multiple. In Blackpink's case, their MV are always extremely high budget and you'd be surprised what those scenes mean at some point. They always have a story within a story within a story. Everything on their MVs are real, the sets are built, never CGI. And Every details has a purpose, has a meaning. Like the donkey in Lisa's rap scene, the Morocco-ish street. LOL Blackpink is an experience, a journey. They have been able to achieve was in normally achievable by a girl band, not just in SK. They have the Blackpink House series in 2018, Blackpink Diaries (2019 In Your Area world tour), and 24/365 with Blackpink in 2020. There are tons of compilations about them as a group and per member. Yeah, once you start listenin to BP it's hard to stop. They are the perfect melding of years-long training in the Kpop trainee grinder, multi-cultural influences from their varied backgrounds, a producer that lived in LA for many years and soaked up all the musical styles from here, and a video director with a blank-check budget that lets him put together insane sets and high-end cinematography. I think they were all waiting for each other since I don't think any other combination would have worked as well as they all do together - they clicked from the first. BTW, since you're looking for more BP-related videos, you might check out Lisa's work as a dance mentor to new trainees. They're very interesting to watch because it shows a very different side to her - the all-business eagle-eyed dance pro that watches the trainees dance and catches the slightest mistake and shows them how to correct it. These videos show why BP's choreography is just so flawless and on point. You want intimidating? Just look at Lisa's face as she watches them. The girls are nervous as hell and just so happy when she flashes that melt-your-heart smile and compliments them when they finally get it. It's no wonder these girls have taken over the pop music world - they are simply a different level of talent.

Just love Rose's voice it just amazing, that's the voice you love too. And, for a different KPOP group, and that imo shows a different side of KPOP in general is TWICE, perhaps the biggest girl kpop group ever, if not one of the more iconic, and quite different from what BP offers - and equally awesome! He may not like some of Twice's music, since a lot of it is bubblegum or cutesy. He'd probably be into Pixy, Everglow, G-Idle, or Itzy, though I think Itzy may be borderline, and pretty much any major boy group on the scene. I'm not really a huge fan of Idle, but Soyeon is an amazing rapper that I think he'd be into. Everglow... Just Everglow. 😂 They're consistently on point, though, I feel like they should have capitalized on the concept from First instead of falling back into whatever Pirate was. And like I said, even though Itzy is my second favorite girl group (constantly defending against Everglow and Pixy attacks), they may not be to his taste, except for Mafia and maybe Not Shy. @@Curious.Aquarius Some of TWICE's songs, yeap, he may not like some of them (just like the more bublegum/cutesy songs by BP like "Lovesick girls", "Icecream" or "As if it was your last"), but TWICE is more than cutesey or bubblegum, I'm sure you know. Songs like Fancy, Can't Stop me, Feel Special, Perfect World are not only bangers on their own right, but Icons of KPOP. The band is a living Icon as well, so, if you're going down the KPOP rabbit whole why not dig into one of the biggest bands ever in the genre? Also, I love Everglow and I do like G-Idle a lot. I have a hard time NOT liking a specific band just because of their stereotypes and since one of my all time favorite is SNSD "bubblegum/cutesey" is just another aspect of a specific band, and not the totality of what they can show to new listeners.
@@bowiebolissian1619 of the songs you listed for Blackpink, As If It's Your Last is the ONLY one that can be described as "cutesy", and that's a stretch. I've not heard a bubblegum song from them, and I've listened to all of their catalogue. Now, with Twice, most of their catalogue is bubblegum or cutesy. At least, the ones that I've seen of their title tracks. Get Loud is an absolute fire track, but it's a b-side. That's not a knock on them; it is what it is. The songs you listed, including More & More and Cry For Me, are absolutely amazing songs and not at all cutesy, although, a legitimate argument can be made about Fancy regarding that. Never said a group concept is all they are capable of or anything. I just said that given his musical preference, from what I've observed of him, he may not like most of their songs. To expound, certain songs would need to be recommended, lest he hear one song then give up on them entirely if he doesn't like them or because it wasn't his musical preference. Understand where I'm getting at?
I would suggest a color coded listen to Happiest Girl. It hits different and you get a better idea if each ones true voice in a intimate setting. As for what watch, Netflix has a special on BlackPink and RU-vid has a 4 part( one for each lady), a background profile of sorts called the (UN)Helpful Guide to Blackpink, but make sure it's the most recent version of it. Many of us would enjoy watching them along with you, so maybe plan a weekend watch for us? Also, my daughter was our gateway into Blankpink, we needed music she could listen to on some of our long trips, and these ladies we find enjoyable with a positive stance for young girls about inner strength just when our daughters, sister and mothers need it most. Yes, they have that Black(edge) side, but also that Pink( sweet) side. Other K-pop that we enjoy BTS( of course), Butter, On - the Kinetic one, and some of their solo work as well ( for rap RM of bts is a beast, but beware,) Suga of BTS as well. J-Hope has new solo work out, but my daughter adores his Chicken Noodle Soup song and video. My husband enjoys Stray Kids, God's Menu and a few others I have forgotten, forgive me. But we are thrilled to have explored and are able to add them to our playlist with all our other favorites. Music is the great connector of cultures.

If you want to see them behind the scenes, i guess one of the best ways to get to see all of them is their "BlackPink Diaries" vlog they made in their 2019-2020 world your. Think its 13, roughly 15 minute episodes. Jennie, Lisa and Rosé have personal youtube channels they upload to if you want to see them individually. Jisoo has a channel she uploads too, but i think its a Korean equivalent, i think it was called weverse.

I've just scrolled through all of the videos and this video is the first kpop related video I've come across since I literally went to the beginning videos of your channel and scrolled up to this point and is the only kpop video I've come across since.
Blackpink is the best name for them. They have that duality of boss bitches in the music videos but are super sweet and funny in their personal life. Black is the swag and Pink is the sweet. The songs fit into one of these colors as well. How You Like That is black while Ice Cream is pink. I learned so much from them watching their vlog/reality shows. I would recommend: Light Up The Sky on Netflix (2020) Blackpink House on RU-vid (2018) Blackpink Diaries on RU-vid (2019) 24/365 with Blackpink on RU-vid (2020) Watching these helped me choose Jisoo as my bias. We have the most in common and I'd love to hang out with her.
There are lots of other great kpop groups you should listen to! BTS- A 7 member korean boy group (the only group bigger than Blackpink, they have millions of fans worldwide) They do many genres like neo-soul, hip-hop, rap, pop, latin pop, edm, and rnb. Alot of their songs have deep meaning. Songs I reccomend by them: Festa 2021 room live (shows their music diversity and a bit of their personality , overall a perfect first glance at them) Fake love Mic Drop (a banger!!) Stray kids- an 8 member boy group. They mix electronic music, rap, dubstep, traditional korean music, and pop. Songs i reccomend by them: Maniac Thunderous Easy Freeze And Gods menu Itzy- a 5 member korean girl group. They mix edm, pop and a little bit of rap. Songs i reccomend by them: Loco And Wannabe Le sserafim- a 6 member girl group (i may be wrong on the members lol) They just debuted this year and theyre about to have their first comeback. Songs I reccomend by them: Fearless IVE- a 6 member girl group (i think one member is japanese) They also are a really new group but their songs are bangers! They definitely are intimidating when they are performing (their Black side of Blackpink). If you watch Blackpink House series on amazon prime or youtube, you can see their everyday life and more of their Pink side of Blackpink. Netflix also has their origin biography "Light Up the Sky". There is also a very well done youtube Ultimate Guide to Blackpink 2022, it is very long, but you can break it up in to 4 part reaction for each of the girls if you want to see their individual backgrounds and stories.
