How have gender norms and expectations shaped your attitudes, experiences and relationships?
ANROWS research explored young people’s understandings of the gendered nature of domestic violence, following results from the 2017 National Community Attitudes towards Violence against Women Survey (NCAS).
Young people want to actively shape change rather than just be the targets of different programs and campaigns, and this research reaffirms the value of listening to, and centring, their voices.
If you want to learn more about young people’s understandings of domestic violence and abuse, visit www.anrows.org....
Thank you to Digital Storytellers who produced the videos and the group of youth advocates from across Australia who co-designed the narratives and featured in the videos. Thank you to R4Respect and Men4Respect for their expert advice.
