This guy seems wise beyond his years. Every one of his videos is full of technical analysis, followed by a very complicated stretch or two. He seems to have an immense amount of experience, much too much for someone so young. Anyone who is a patient of this guy is lucky.

Hi Conor, thank you for this video. I am now wondering about my alignment for the low back pain I've had for about three weeks now. Back on July 7th, I was in severe enough pain to go to the ER. This pain was in my lower right back at the waistline. The ER doctor and nurses initially thought kidney stones because of the severity and location of the pain. A CT scan proved that to not be the case, with all organs being normal and no stones present in the kidney. One week later, July 14th, I still had pain in the low back, went to Urgent Care where the doctor told me he thought it was a problem with my right hip and suggested seeing an Orthopedic doctor. A friend's recommendation to see their Chiropractor (due to his back issue) brought me to him on July 17th. The Chiropractor requested an MRI, and long story short, my spine looks exactly like your skeleton's spine in the first part of this video. I have the same curvature in my lower spine, and now I am wondering if a hip imbalance is causing the constant pain (it has never fully gone away since the July 7th ER visit) that I have in my lower right back / side. The only relief I get from the pain is when I am laying on my back. Other than that, between standing and sitting, the pain is always there at varying levels.

Hello sir, Diya this side, i am 23 year old. I got severe back pain in 2021 October after doing sitting pigeon pose in yoga. My teacher forced me to do that pose. Because of that i can't walk, sit, stand, sleep on my back. When i did X ray, all my doctors told me it's just muscle spasm. Because of that my spine has become straight, and there is stiffness in lower back as well...i feel it specially after i sit after walking..i did aqua therapy which helped me in forming the arch and getting that curve in spine..but no relief in pain..initially my hip position was right but in the latest x ray it shows my right hip and shoulder is higher then my left. I don't know how and why that happened. I usually stand on my left feet more, because standing equally on both my legs gives me pain and also increases my heart rate and breathing. And also balancing on both my feet is difficult for me..I usually incline towards left. It's been 2 years i have tried everything to release that pain but nothing helped. Right now also i am taking physiotherapy, my therapist have started my exercises, i feel good while doing them..but next day everything becomes even more painful. Can you help, please🙏 ??? Doctors here in India, blame me when they r not able to cure my problem, they tell me to stop stressing..and start living a normal life..but how can i ?? When i m in so much pain. Arching exercises lying on my stomach and back gives me pain in my lower back. I m so tired, sometimes i get suicidal thoughts...because of inactivity in last 2 years my leg and hip muscles have also become tight..i feel it when my therapist gives me stretches. Please please please help me..i BEG YOU! PLEASE. I want to live..i want to live a happy pain free life. Please help me. I have spend over 2 lakh Indian rupees on my treatment but nothing has worked. Some doctors say that i should continue doing exercises even if it increases my pain next day...some say i shouldn't. PLEASE HELP ME. PLEASE

I severely injured my right ankle (I had 2 ligaments torn in my foot) and it caused me to walk really crooked (yes I didn't have it checked and I continued to walk on it for nearly 3 years because I'm stupid), and having my left leg try to compensate any type of movement because my right leg was pretty much useless for a very long time. The compensation my left leg made in order to keep me a little active caused my pelvis to turn in a really weird angle and caused so much pain in my lower back. Once I started having it adjusted through training, physical therapy and a chiropractor to help align my pelvis, the pain vanished. But now I'm stuck with random sciatic pains on the right side instead and none of the sciatic exercises help.. 😂 I just can't win!
@asdzxcz1360
@asdzxcz1360 Год назад
For some time I had feeling of my right leg being overly, externally rotated, then one day I had trouble walking, then back pain come with right leg and right arm numbness and pain. Doctors obviously blamed disc bulges,but then I remembered that I had right feet injury 3 years ago that caused me to "save" right side and overuse left... so kinda similar to your story. Did you also had some differences to what those PRI guys teach like, leaning over to left and having stronger left side instead of right ?? I'm wondering if average exercises and normal physiotherapy will fix my issues, since there are many differences to LEFT AIC pattern and there are no PRI experts near my location. What exercises did you do ?? About sciatica, that one I almost fixed, despite of doctors claims. Piriformis stretch and strengthening is the key(figure 4 and glute bridges), but too aggressive stretching is giving me more symptoms, also stretching leg to eliminate stiffness especially around knee and outside of the leg is the key, also manual therapy on the leg to relax it also helps.
@Lumimyrsky
@Lumimyrsky Год назад
@@asdzxcz1360 I did actually lean! It was more visible when I was sitting down, and I had no idea I was doing it until the specialist that was checking my foot (he's the one that did the surgery too) saw me sitting on a chair and he noticed that I was leaning really heavily on the left side, and had my pelvis turned in an angle, and that position also put my lumbar in a very bent angle causing me even more pain. My training consisted mostly of mobility training 3 times a week with the physiotherapist, went to the chiropractor every 10 days and the rest of the time I just did regular exercises at home, in total it took me around 5 months to fully recover, but that was also including the rehabilitation of my ankle post surgery. Sadly I've tried so many methods to get that release of the sciatic nerve, but no matter which one I do, it just doesn't feel like it's really targeting that one particular area where the pain seems to come from. It's as if the nerve is being crushed behind my right glute muscle, haha.
@asdzxcz1360
@asdzxcz1360 Год назад
@@Lumimyrsky I have kinda similar thing. When I sit I feel like invisible string would be pulling me left and down, and my trunk turns left also... I have manual therapy sessions to release tension and exercises to do at home, but symmetrical exercises doesn't seem to work... Chiropractic adjustments are scheduled but I'm not sure if I'm suitable for it, as my low back is weirdly stretched by pelvis and is causing pain and back spams...

@@asdzxcz1360 ok, maybe we should follow the video where he does explain the left aic. Also, in that video, there is an article that should make u understand your situation. You have 7 tests of both left and right external/internal rotation. If the tests show that u are more prone to left, which is higly probable, just do the normal drills for letf aic. For what i understand, other compensatory position (for ex. right hip higher and external rotated) are just over layer of the left aic.

@asdzxcz1360 Год назад
@@nexnexusnex Yeah, but I had right foot injury that caused me to not use right side as much as left, and I have left side bent and left side stronger than right, which seems to be opposite in LEFT AIC pattern. will this work if we have rotated sacrum and one side of pelvis stuck in chiropractic terms
@gts9622
@gts9622 Год назад
Yes. A sacrum is directed by the position of the two innominate bones that it is sandwiched between. A sacrum is a wedge bone and does not exist in a vacuum, thus does not move on its own, and certainly not without those 2 bones knowing it. In the typical pattern that Connor is describing, we will have a lumbar spine and sacrum that is oriented to the right. Doing what is showing here should definitely help as well, but ultimately you’re gonna have to learn how to sense and use the left side of your body more than you are and learn how to exhale.
@2fastnfurious4u
@2fastnfurious4u Год назад
@@gts9622 Thanks for thorough explanation 👍 but isn't in this example lumbar spine curving to the left and then in thoracic part turns to the right?
@gts9622
@gts9622 Год назад
@@2fastnfurious4u just to be clear, you are looking at Connors skeleton as you would look at a person facing you, so that skeleton’s right is your left, and that skeleton’s left is your right. I’m not looking at the curvature, I’m looking at the orientation of the vertebrae themselves on a vertical axis. If you look at the bony projections that stick out of the backside of each vertebrae (spinous processes) you’ll see that the spinous process is moving to the left as the anterior (front) side of the vertebrae turns to the right. That means the lumbar spine and sacrum is facing to the right.

I have only one question is high hip affect or contract latts or they're not related to each other coz I've been suffering from latts a long time and I tried to stretch it several times but it didn't worked,☹️
@AAden-pd6hh
@AAden-pd6hh Год назад
Stretching out the lats is great for trunk flexibility but the back muscles that affect the pelvis a lot more are the QL and Psoas. If you're stuck in a side crunch all the time then strengthening those 2 muscles combined with stretching will help tremendously. If you're hiking the hip while moving then you're compensating for a lack of internal rotation of the femur so look into how much you can move about your hip. Work on internal rotation by strengthening the rotator muscles like the Glute minimus, TFL and the adductors giving special focus to the Pectineus. If you feel blocked when trying to rotate then you have a weakness either on the outer side or the inner side of the hip so add in abductor/adductor exercises. Remember that there's a reason your body adapted to the way it is now so try and figure out when your body defaults to that position for example when sitting and actively try to do the opposite and fire up those muscles you don't usually use. Good luck and hope you get better 😄👍
