exactly bruh, either i had a stupid growth spurt at age 20 or i just noticed my shirts are kinda small/want them longer so they won’t look like i have a crop top
I'm 4'11 and 26 years old. I have issues finding tees that fit but I've found that Uniqlo's tees fit pretty darn well. The overall length and sleeves are a tad bit long, but nothing the tailor can't fix. I recommend it for other small sized folks who need shirts that fit and aren't expensive
My shoulder is too broad for my stomach . Everytime I find a shirt that suit my shoulder , it make me look like a kid wearing his dad shirt , but a shirt that fit my stomach , the shoulder just wouldnt fit or too tight , the arm would get pulled up to shoulder.
I have the viceversa problem... Tha majority of tshirts that fit me on body are a little too short. In order to be a little bit longer, i must choose the bigger size, wich is big on body or shoulders. And i am not very tall, i have 1.80m
Recent subscriber here. Just wanna say that I really like the overall production of your videos; the music, the contrast, the extra bits-everything. Keep up the good work! Oh, and stay stylish! ;)
The Modest Man well sir, the sleeves are a little to loose on your arms and but the part where the line is over your shoulder seems too short and makes it look pointy like a elf. The overall look though is still better than most and t isn’t bad.
T-shirts have no true fit size.If he thinks it fits right then it does. If he thinks a XL fits well then it does. Dress shirts are the ones we can actually explain how it should fit. T-shirts are universal, the sizing you chose is the style you want to wear. Your sizing for t-shirt is just a style. There is no true size, unlike dress shirts they serve one purpose.
Great tips; although, I don’t think it looks good to have the seams on top of the shoulders tenting up above the shoulder like the shirts in this video are doing.
As someone who loves and will continue to watch your videos I feel I want to speak out when I disagree. Not to offend or be close minded but that my opinion is different. I dont agree with the arm width or side width. The shirt arm width popping off to the sides looks ugly to me and the extra inch or so is doing that. Its completely avoidable in the market to have a shirt arm width that holds to the skin but is not hugging it too hard to both avoid it flaring out with that extra inch and to avoid being too tight. Its makes a very odd shape in the air where it has no purpose or meaning it just looks badly fit and out of place. Most shirt makers ive been too (Express) dont have this issue and have a perfect fit in that area without the flare. and almost the same comment on the shirt side width. Most companies offers shirts that hug but dont hold too tight. The days where most shirts dont fit well no matter the shirt size and person and compression shirts holding too tight are fading away. This is the first time where I honestly dont like the way the shirt works on you in the video. I just feel like it looks very cookie cutter and knowing you that is not the usual. But thats just my two cents. And again Im still a big fan and will like the video anyway because you are still doing what you love for other people and have the best at heart.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment! Very refreshing. And I agree that its' okay to go a little more fitted. Actually, I've noticed that SCW's cotton blend shirts are more fitted than the Tencel one I'm using in this vid.
Man. Seems like I’m always stuck in the middle having to decide, do i want to go with more room or fitted? I’m around 5’8” to 5’9” so I’ll be barely making the cut with this site you’re mentioning. Lately i gained weight from constant heavy lifting at my (now old) job and gained more weight after leaving that job, 189lbs. My chest is around 43.5cm so I’m stuck thinking, do i want to go large and have some extra room? I like the fitted look so i dont want too much room, but i dont want the medium to fit slightly stretched on my chest area and feeling as well as looking restrictive of movement especially if its a button front shirt. Im on here trying to get answers but so far RU-vid isnt very helpful with regards to how to chose the right size full button shirt (not dress shirts) when your body frame is in between sizes.
I'm 5'11" and I also have trouble finding undershirts and tees that are good value. Two problems: I can't really try them on while shopping as they're packaged in sets; as undershirts, they're prone to staining from deodorant so they don't last long. I almost bought a set of three Polo tees from Dillards today, but at $39 a set, and not being sure they would fit well, I demurred. What do you think?
It depends what kind of fit you want. Oversized tee's can look great, they don't all have to be fitted like this to look good. Tucking a t-shirt in and slightly pulling it out all around can look good too.
i like even huggier sleeves than that, my best tees have almost no extra room on the arms without me stretching them . great video though i like your down to earthiness
Tees that are tight around the arms aren’t comfortable IMO, as the sleeves slide up your arms whenever you lift them, then you have to pull them back down.
just listened to the most recent episode of buttoned up, the episode about shorts and Sean Connery. I just wanted to say that it would be awesome if you were able to get the urban gentry on an episode.
I cannot believe this!! The first to reply? Oh wow, I am on a role!! Now I know I always knew that a T shirt should not pass the crotch's length, but now I know, 2 inches below the belt!! I am going on a shopping spree!!
He said 120 lbs... unsure arm size. Would be helpful to know though, to see if I'd be a good candidate for this brand! I'm worried slim small but still be too big for me... otherwise I'd be completely sold at this price point.
He's 5'6 with shoes (he said this in recent videos). He is probably 5'4 or 5'5 I am very close to 5'6, for example, I'm 167.0cm, just for some milimeters i'm not 5'6 (167.7cm). I'm around 169 in shoes (still 5'6), probably this is happening to him
Yeah agree. Even here somewhere in southeast asia many of brands here like H&M Topman, P&B have their XS has a perfect length but always too tight and their S has perfect fit on upper torso but too long. My body is just like you not big or skinny and i'm 5'5.5" (167cm) maybe equal to 5'8"-5'9" in USA which consider average or little under average but totally not consider short for southeast asian. So far only uniqlo's Tees S size can fits me well.
Is it ok for a sleeve of a tshirt to be slightly longer than the other? I noticed this about one of my tshirt, the right hand sleeve of the tshirt is slightly longer than the left
Its acceptable when tshirt fall between mid crotch and belt buckle area(cover about half of front pockets) I 'm short men and some of my tshirts have this lenght.
I feel like men clothes work better for taller people than shorter people because I’m 5,7 and I only have like one perfect tee shirt in my closet some are too long or the sleeves are too long
Hey i need advice, when i lift my arms up, my t shirt goes up to my belly button and when i bend forward my back is exposed 2 inches, does that mean that the t shirt is too short?
Brock! Check out Son of a Tailor. They make custom made to measure T-shirts, only company I found that does this. I just received my first T and it is awesome! Fits perfectly & only takes about two weeks for delivery. Also I have to disagree with the sleeve width, should slightly hug the arm no loose fabric. Makes the guns look bigger.
@@BrockMcGoff I know this is old but you can also put measurements in yourself and measure your body so it fits exact. They also compensate for shrinking in the wash too so they make the size slightly bigger then what you order so it doesn't shrink too much. So if the size is a little loose pre wash, that's normal and you just have to wash it before you make the final judgment on the fit.
Depends on what is tall for you. If we are talking 6'5 or so, there are tall sizes from Jcrew or Asos. If we are talking 'normal' tall like 5'10 to around 6'1 or so, Uniqlo is pretty good
Hi there, do you love tshirts? I know a site that you can create your stunning and personalize t-shirts in just few clicks. I already tried to create on that site. Thank me later after you enjoy creating t-shirts on this site www.teemagix.com
You get what you pay for. Buy a $10 t-shirt and I guarantee someone got screwed in the process of making and shipping it to your house (probably the person who cut and sewed it).
Yeah they need to call tee shirts dress tees now I cannot for the love of god find a tee that don't look like a women's dress on me. I dare a company to send me one that stops at my waist.
Early in the video you show two photos of a shirt that's "too long", yet when you explain later what the length should be, it falls in the same area as those two photos.
This did not help me. I was trying to figure out what size my 14 yr old would wear... He's 5'6 and 114 pounds. My son's shoulders look wider than this guy's though
