I hope this video inspires some other home educators or stay-at-home-mums to start their own channels. Even without earning a penny, RU-vid has improved my life.

👋 👋 Hi, I'm Cathryn, a UK-based Mum of 3 Home Educated kids (girl/boy twins born in 2017, and their brother born in 2020). They are home educated from the start. We are non-religious, philosophical home educators (We home educate as our first choice, rather than it being a fallback option

Love your content and glad you don't script! It's so genuine and I cringe at overly edited, slick and produced videos. This is real, authentic and valuable information and insights! Keep it up!

Thanks so much for your comment and insight; that's actually really interesting and useful info because I do usually try and script. It's good to know maybe this comes across more genuine. Certainly something I'm going to think on! 🤔

You could do day in the life showing what your kids learn etc. I think people who are interested in homeschooling in the UK would watch to get their head around the idea of home Ed. X

Yes, definitely, thank you. I already have a couple of 'week in the life' but I think that's always interesting content for home educators. Thanks for your comment!

Loved this so much and really identified with it! I thought your tips were spot on - we definitely need more home ed channels from this side of the pond (though the American homeschoolers are awesome). I hope you go from strength to strength! Just remember, you’re not the tiniest channel, that would be mine! 😆 Ps. What’s a script?! 🤣

Ahh, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I was a bit nervous doing something that wasn't 100% Home Ed related. Thank you so much for your support along the way. I think your channel is brilliant, and you have a wealth of experience in Home Ed to share (way more than me!). I have a very distinct memory of feeling stuck on 329 subs for ages, so things do progress. 💜

Congratulations for 1k. May God continue to bless your channel. Yes! There are so many blessings that come with YT even if not monetized. It is definitely good to focus on that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. 🙏☺️

😂😂 another great video! New Subscriber. Its 5:34am and I really should be sleeping but this RU-vid title caught my eye 😅. I started my channel in 2013 to log my home ed channel and found out about monetisation back in 2017 but it was not something that I could do. I love RU-vid and you will love looking back at your videos like I do. I hope things have got better for you financially as home education is a real sacrifice but It'll be worth it.

Oh my gosh, thanks so much for being here! How have I not come across your channel yet. I can tell i will be totally binge watching your videos later too. So great to connect with you! You’re not far off getting 1k subs for the first tick on monetisation. I also love RU-vid, it’s such a rich platform I’ll always rate it above other social media platforms :) The finances are an ongoing work in progress but getting by for now. Thank you so much for supporting! ❤️

Lol re: no one is going to see you / your videos... every time I go to a home ed meetup (in Surrey) with my 3 kids, I secretly hope to see you at them;-) You are genuine, and it comes across in your videos. I hope this works for you as your videos would be missed if you were to stop doing them.

Love this comment! 😂 We did actually use to live in Surrey (in Reigate for 4 years and I loved it), but don't live there anymore. We're not super far, so might find myself at a Surrey meet-up one day. Hoping to bring the kids into London a bit more this year, do you ever go to any of the Home Ed days at museums etc in London? Thank you for your support. So appreciated!

lol the thought of going to London from Farnham with a 1, 5 and 7 year old by myself fills me with dread lol maybe one day we'll make it to London!

@@chrissydavison3469 umm, yes 😄 I think I'll be taking a grandparent or teaming up with another Mum. Mine are 6, 6, 3, so I don't have a baby anymore, but I sure do miss the buggy! Does Farnham have a good home ed community?
@chrissydavison3469
@chrissydavison3469 4 месяца назад
Yes! I'll miss that too as it's so great for carrying everything you need when out and about! I would say Farnham does have a good community. It really is "what you put in, you get out" sort of community. I think consistently turning up to meetups and other events makes a big difference in how our home education has gone.
