He has an incredible memory and can communicate it in a chronological order with great delivery and pace. He pauses when he needs to collect his thoughts. Doesn't say um a thousand times... I wish I could speak this well. The guy is an excellent communicator.
Howard was very smart here. He knew the last thing high powered executives like is to be bad mouthed publicly. This, plus his daily haranguing of Les, Joel, and Sumner Redstone on his show brought the lawsuit to a quick end, and Howard recovered his tapes.
Kevin H. CBS sued him for a secret agreement. Howard convinces us in this vague statement that CBS didn’t know about the deal but he’s twisting the truth. Howard breached his contract by having secret talks with Sirius and XM. CBS had a right to match the offer and to know if and when stern was in talks with other companies per his contract but they were kept in the dark and didn’t know until he was already signed. Howard then proceeded to promote Sirius on CBS air 2004-2005 to gather as many subscribers as possible. This was done to meet a subscriber quota Howard and Sirius had that would net him a big stock option bonus worth 220 million. (This is the secret compensation) CBS was pissed so they allowed him to promote Sirius with the knowledge that they would sue him later for breach of contract and they had every right to. Stern is squirming in this conference and he knows he screwed up. Sirius and CBS settled for 2 mil plus whatever stern gave which is undisclosed.
@@mrnintendo88 but howard did not get his sirius bonus and howard took them to court and lost (Sirius) but he was right less is a creep..he sure had that right
The way he defended himself, and how he stayed composed was flawless. He's literally in his element calling out a bullshitter who is trying to keep shit on the low. Howard rules!
@Roy Whorshtz lmao na Imma plumber making $27 hr here in Florida where wages are usually below avg due to low cost of living. I'm just a real 1 💯💯 queens English not always needed blood
Great entertainer in general. When he knows what hes talking about he can talk forever. Well, even if he doesnt know what hes talking about he can talk forever. But in this case he obviously knows wtf hes talking about. Fuck les moonfuck
@Ralph that's why he's made them tons of money right? And even though the show sucks today he mentions time and time again he stick around so his workers can get paid. He hasnt had to do radio in years yet still does it. What a shit leader.
Perfect. Howard spoke out in a clear way, in order to defend his name. Anyone would do that, if somebody are bulling, lies, and try to smear your name and reputation. But he did it perfect at this conference. Thanks from Krusty in Denmark.
What people don't understand is that Howard is the guy that makes you laugh on the radio, on the other hand he is a brilliant business man who is highly intelligent and each move is well thought out, brilliant....
They sued him and there was an undisclosed settlement and next thing you know he owned his entire back catalogue which they had previous kept from him (25 years worth of tape). Well they sure showed Howard didn't they.
Well now howard is afraid to show his back catalog because he's afraid to get " canceled " he's a coward who has sold out . He's turned into an unfunny don imus who is scared to leave his basement
Not only is Howard intelligent he is the best by far. Howard didn't get where he is being stupid and not knowing what he is doing. I mean just admit it like him or not he is very entertaining I'm a fan. 👌👏😘
Yea and him not being afraidto speak his mind and to tell the truth really helps because I'm a firm believer that you can never take an L if you always speak nothing but the truth.
Thanks, due in part to reading the Washington Post, in the early 2000s I was alerted that Howard Stern was in the midst of a power struggle with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for what I believe to be nothing other than speaking his mind. At that time my interpretation of the cause of the new found scrutiny had something to do with a change of leadership at the FCC. This drama preceded his crossover from public to private radio, which in my opinion was a very sad day for the public, who was now bereft of an opportunity to listen to highly critical, analytical radio infused with political humor, satire, sexual content and light- hearted fun.
I didn’t here one umm, uuu, you know...and his ability to tell a story is incredible. Then notice how he draws in even the reporters. He’s having a dialogue with them. Just the best ever
howards hair looks so nice who cares what people say you look good, you look good! love you howard for being so hardworking and consistent over the many years of awsome radio you gave us!
You will not get one over Howard stern he is a guru in his area, God I love this dude no homo. He says he's not a lawyer lol but handled himself perfectly, he doesn't bullshit he says what's bullshit.
man...I remember this like yesterday...you could tell that howard was really really bummed out about the whole thing oh well...look who got the last laugh
I agree, Howard is being sued for plugging sirius while he was with cbs. I remember him insulting his employer by plugging their competition on the air. I believe that violates some kind of payola laws because he was advertising sirius for his own personal benefit. He used cbs to maximize his sirius subscriptions which resulted in him making hundreds of millions in subscription bonuses.
Howard argues like he speaks on the radio with a lot of anecdotal stories that aren't really evidence. If it were anyone else than Howard Stern I don't think it would have gone over very well but as it turned out, he argued his case quite well, Sirius only had to pay out 2 million dollars and Howard got control of his tapes.
Today he is cool with Leslie Moonves and his wife. He was threatening for years I am going to satellite for years. I guess they didn't believe him till he announced after his contract was over, he was leaving .
