Loved this film. It was another film my dad taped so I watched it loads. So great that he used to rent so many good films every week and usually lots of the horror classics
I don't care what people say. "Howard The Duck" is a pretty great movie. It has kickass music from the 80's and action. Some people say Marvel should either disown this film or remake it. I don't want that to ever happen, because it wouldn't have the Originally magic about it. I just think this film was far beyond it's time in the 80's and people just weren't ready for it yet or they didn't really understand the film or they had their sights set on a much bigger film in their heads.

Haha, I loved this movie when I was about 8yrs old! Another "bad" movie I remember to love as a kid was "Joey" (Emmerich). I recommend the 80s tv series "Tripods". Still cool to watch (verdammt, they schould have made the 3rd season!!)
Schlomo Hinsch ~) yes! 'V' was good fun! tripods was also a good one! chocky was scary/creepy when i saw it as a kid. especially the music. i was always partial to a bit of 'sapphire and steel' aswell, which also had good scary/creepy music . . .
I'm with Iain on this movie, Awesome film and classic camp. I saw this movie earlier this year, and knowing how shitty it did at the box office, and it's critical panning, I avoided it like the black plague. My roommate owned a copy of the movie on DVD, and kept gushing about it, as well as a coworker. Both imploring me to watch it. So I watched it for the first time in my 32 years. This movie is so bad, it's good. I loooove shit like this. The special effects on the dark lord really shocked me and the jokes were really good to me, being a sarcastic asshole. I saw a lot of myself in Howard. Great review guys, on point and all.
L.M.A.O! I enjoyed this movie back in the day its a trip L.O.L. I believe I even had had it on VHS way back when. IT's been forever since i watched it. A good amount of time ago they had come out with a Sliver Surfer action figure and it came with an extra figure of Howard The Duck. However its made after the comics or whatever not Howard in the film. I am glad that i held onto the Howard figure. IT's still in new like condition in fact.
I always wanted part two where she does go to find Howard in his world pregnant with a duck baby. Why do they act like this movie never did happen it is the only movie they did not on dvd.
A friend of mine at that time many years ago now let Me have the Howard figure He didn't want it. I wonder why? L.O.L. Yeah He just wanted The Silver Surfer. I also had got my hands on back in the day the figure of Man-Thing still have him also.
TheSuperQuail the DARK OVERLORD was actually a discarded version of the RANCOR from STAR WARS RETURN of the JEDI it was a multi sized prop that originally used in stop motion animation but it was too scary for a STAR WARS movie so they changed it
