i was stunned when i first ate dhal curry some years ago. So simple, so tasty, and it was vegan without missing anything. The recipe was very different, the most important ingredient was curry leaf. Since these leaves have to be fresh, i'm now growing them at home. Tomorrow i'll try dhal a la Latif.
I am making many of your recipes at home, we are all loving them! I love the way you call us “beautiful people “ (your viewers) You are beautiful, Latif! Thank you ❤
Just made this today and was a huge hit. I used fenne Greek seeds and black seed for the tatka. My mum did ask why I didn't use naga as I love naga in my curry's and bhaji type lol. Thanks for the recipe brother. Keep up the good work
Greetings from Philadelphia, PA USA I enjoy your videos so much. Everything looks so delicious and beautiful! You also break down the recipes in a way that we can actually make them ourselves. I am wondering what you often say before you add or start a step. I imagine it is a prayer but wanted to ask you to be sure.
This is going to be cooked tomorrow evening, looks delicious. Thanks for posting, I just love your recipes, I appreciate you taking time to shear with us all Thank you
Simple, easy and tasty. Only challenge I have with many curry recipes is the cumin seeds as they give the wife wind like a hurricane and I always end up getting an earfull. Doing a 2 day lentil curry myself tomorrow. Needless to say I'll be leaving the cumin seeds out!
@@karmelicanke I'd go with 4 - blew over the 60" TV which was held down with two large rocks and the poor cat got unceremoniously blown to the other end of the house. That was the end of cumin seeds in our simple abode!
Another stunning recipe - and that is the cleanest home cooker grill I’ve ever seen! 😀 Thanks for the recipes and the straightforward way of presenting.
I liked the little trick to deglaze the frying pan with some of the sauce. I'd never thought to do that before and would normally just use extra water or stock or something like that.
I give credit to you for this wonderful easy nutritious dish, people are struggling at this time, good food does not have to be expensive,. some rice, a few boiled eggs and you have a good meal for several people for about £2.00 ...50p per person. Less if other local or garden veg is used. Lentils and other dried pulses/legumes are so important in the diet, more so when money is tight. There is no need to eat insects, as some are forcing. Eating them is against all natural laws and religions. For good reasons. I would rather eat broken glass than bugs!
Love your recipes Latif. This is on tonight's menu for me and the family. I'll replace the ghee for olive oil in the last stage to make it protein rich vegan meal. Thanks 😋
