I was going to do the Manoa middle hike today when I came to a stream and decided to follow it to see where it goes (maybe new waterfall!). I found a ribbon or two so it was encouraging. When I got a bit down the stream, I saw an abandoned building ! I was like, too cool!! So I went to check it out and found out I wandered into the old abandoned Paradise Park! I went exploring a bit and then saw all the "Posted, no trespassing " signs all over the place. Oh oh, don't wanna get busted so I snuck around a bit then left via another trail I found.. Dilemma time!! Do I even post up this video and maybe encourage people to trespass? But, after some thought, since I found it by mistake I'll post it up and tell you guys DON'T go here! Its another illegal hike! But, who even reads these things..
Be safe on you hikes, carry lots of water, let friends/family know where you're going and when you will return, carry phone with full battery, plan your time to make sure you have enough daylight to complete your hike and if in trouble, find safe spot and j

It's sad to see the decay of the area. I used to take my daughter to Paradise Park. They had a cool dinosaur exhibit. I was hoping that someone would take over the operations, but unfortunately that was not to be. I also miss the Tree Tops restaurant that was at the top of park. I love your videos...please keep making them. Btw, when I was younger (decades ago), my friend and I used to go hiking. We hiked up one of the streams near the park. We came across several small waterfalls and one (nearly) dry waterfall. We finally got to a waterfall we couldn't climb. On the way back we passed by a stone marked with a cross and some other markings (that I forgotten). My friend later did some research and found that a boy got hit on the head and killed by a falling rock. Maybe you can find that spot on one of your hikes.

When I was in the Navy we went to Paradise Park and took the trail up the mountain. At the the end of the trail was a beautiful waterfall cascading into a small pool. It was about a two hour hike up the mountain and when we got there we were all hot and sweaty, whereupon I removed all my clothes and jumped into the pool to cool off. The other guys thought I was crazy, as I rinsed out my dirty shirt and shorts, and I just laughed at them, cool and refreshed, saying that they should come in, but they were too haloe to enjoy the water. That’s my best memory of Hawaii. Shaka bra!

Always enjoy your videos, recently found the WiliWilinui bunkers that I thought were off limits due to the mansion. I have visited that site on many occasions and gone into the above-ground bunkers long before the mansion was built. Even the second turret chamber was easy access back then. I had never known about the alternate entrance or the larger room on the opposite side of the brush until I saw your vidoes.

Interesting to me that abandoned buildings can just be left to decay like that and not removed.

a lot of them would cost too much $$ to remove i'd guess. Probably waiting for someone to buy the property and wipe it all out at once.
