My favorite Hoya right now is Hoya Carrii NS13-064. It hasn’t grown since I got it in the mail but I can’t get over the super dark leaves. Your videos always give me a positive start to my week. I have not been having the best mental health… and seeing your garden and Hoyas make me smile when I have nothing else to smile about. Enjoy your trip. Can’t wait to see those videos!!

oh gosh i love all of the hoyas but im such a sucker for silver n splashy hoyas, so hands down the mitrata silver is my absolute favorite!! the silveryness and the purple splashing on the back of her leaves soo sexy 🥵🥵 definitely one of my top wishlist hoyas!! a runner up would be the callistophylla vena tho, that veining is incredible!!! fun fact, when i first watched one of ur vids (this was before i joined your fb group n saw what u looked like), i totally thought u were a retired old dude in ur 70s or smthg 😂😂🫣 i was so surprised when i saw a photo of u! usually just a lurker but love ur vids n cant wait to see how ur thailand trip went!! safe travels 💚

The Wilbur Graves China has a long history of former names, like - H. carnosa noID, noID China, noID splash, splash - but they supposingly all are clones of the same mother. It is a cool Hoya and the tendency to splash in its particular way (from just some spots to almost fullly splashed) seems to be genetically stable. So every new leaf is a surprise, and even after some green leaves, the next ones can be solashy all over. It is quite popular here in europe under the name H. carnosa 'splash'.

Well, versteegii is going on my wishlist after seeing it in your video! I'm in Central FL too and am wondering about your growing technique. You mentioned that the pot is plugged and there's gravel in the bottom, with about half an inch of water in there. Does the pot have a drainage hole on the side or something? I am just wondering how you keep the pot from filling with water when we get heavy rains... or do you keep it out of the rain? Anyway, I hear that there's a cold front coming next weekend. Hopefully it won't get too cold while you're gone! I hope you find something special on your trip!

As usual all of your plants are amazing but if I had to pick a favorite from the ones you featured today, it would definitely be the callistophylla vena with AH1025 coming in second. I was just on the east coast of FL and thought about grabbing some Spanish moss to bring home but I was worried about pests/insects in it. What has your experience been? Do you treat it before use? Indoors or out?

I have never seen a retusa hybrid even though they can flower prolifically. Have you ever tried crossing with a retusa?
