All my Hoya are outside. I live in California. It gets VERY hot and dry, about 110 degrees in the summer and as low as 35 degrees at night in the winter. I have them in the shade, water relatively often and pray. Lots of praying to the Hoya gods. Some Hoya are HUGE…. And some just starting. I have three inside… rotundiflora, obovata (also another one outside) curtsii (another one outside). Love them all- except lacunosa, with which the Hoya gods mock me :) Love from California.
Your tour flows so smoothly. I can not imagine knowing all the hoya names so smoothly as you present them. Really have enjoyed your tours. And all your gorgeous hoyas. The combo pots are really lovely. I am going to do that. Great way to make room for more. LOL Thanks for sharing this. I always enjoy your videos.
My tap water also leaves terrible stains. So I spray the leaves with RO water after the shower. It doesn't even have to be thorough, but it helps immensely against the limescale stains.
I might try that though I hate the idea of using RO water for that 🙈 It takes so long to filter and uses so much water too. They should just improve our tap water because I need clean leaves 😂
You have such a great collection.🤩. I have 3 types of hoya sp north vietnam, and i love them all. Nr 10 is the best. Its very easy to grow, with beautiful leaves. .....all 3 of them came to me planted in stone wool, with root rot, mealybugs and mites.....

You have a lovely collection! I recently subscribed and been watching your hoya contents and I learned a lot. But I also saw a lot hoyas that I won’t probably be able to find in Australia :/
Miro, I love watching your videos and seeing every one of your Hoyas! You are so entertaining and informative:) I had a Hoya Krimson Queen for 14 years before I realized there were so many more to love. In 2019-2021 I collected a bunch and then put myself on a buying ban until a few months ago. I have 164, but also two Siberian Huskies, so they must be arranged high, in a tent or cabinet, or they have their own rooms. They also disagree with the huskies on a comfortable temperature, so the huskies have to deal with a warmer house than they would like. Thank you for sharing and best regards!

I run them at night because this is an old house and I have lights outside of the tents + there is dishwasher, fridge, washing machine… so it is easy for the fuse to blow 😅
Thank you for more of the tour! I wanted to ask you, with all the blooms you get, have you ever tried pollinating them? Cross? Ever grow hoya from seed? 💚😎💚
I tried only once, but I gave up quickly. You will be getting about 20 seeds from a pod, and I don't have space to grow those out. My caudata had a seedpod but I didn't do a good job taking care of the seedlings.
@@BasiePlants you make great points. I’m going to get better at care(your so helpful) I’m going to give it a try to see if I can make it thru- I’d be fascinated to see the variations that come with cross pollination. One day 😎😉
Depends on what kind of scent you like. Something like lockii will have chocolaty scent. There are hoyas that smell more like vanilla, some smell like citrus (most finlaysonii). One of my favorites, H. exilis smells like propolis and honey :)
