Beautiful plant. Do you use this soil mix for all your Hoyas? Do you sell cuttings? I purchased two curtisii from Home Depot in July and they had been in standing water and I put them outside in shade with great indirect light for 3 months and they would not grow

Hi there, I am sorry your curtisii are not growing as. Generally speaking on our soil grown hoyas, we like to have a well drained loamy mix ( for curtisii a good mix to use is 2 parts indoor potting mix, 1 part better gro orchid, 2 parts worm castings and 1 part perlite ). I have also grown the curtisii in leca pebbles to very good success (example is the curtisii on wall to the right side of video). Can you tell me more about your curtisii, can you tell me about the soil type she is growing in? Does it drain well? Is soil clumpy and sticky? Maybe your soil mix is too dense and it's hold too much water 😀🪴

@@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN thank you. I took a screenshot. It was an 6” pot from Home Depot with their soil which is heavy w perlite (good for calathea and pothos). When I found it at the store it had been overwatered and I don’t know how long it had been sitting in water in the cash pot. I have a much better understanding now about checking for root rot right away and how to prop and salvage Hoya. Tfs

As for pests, lots of small bugs have show up many times so I’ve used a vinegar/ dish soap mix spray and that didn’t really get rid of them. They actually disappeared after I planted garlic inside the basket.

Yes, I have a topic. I would actually like to see how much water for that size Hoya. How many ounces of water do you use and how often for that size pot. No one shows exactly how much water. I think people would like to see how much by using a clear measuring cup. I enjoy your videos. Thank you!!!!!

Hi, I just purchased a wayettii from Lowe's on the clearance rack. I think it's sun stressed. It has red leaves and some of them are kinda folded up. I plan on repotting it in a couple of days. What is the instrument called that measures light? Thanks!!
