After reacting to the 3D animations i decided to react to now react to all trailers/PVs AND DAMN… just damn feel free to talk about ark nights in the comments and tell me about everything i read every comment and interact! thank you for watching :)

Actually, i played Arknights since the first release and still playing until now. About the gameplay, i lied if i say that im not bored. But every event or every next stage is always have that unique mechanism that make you as a player need to think so hard (well not that hard actually). But the stage, the event, story, music, animation, and many more that makes me still playing it. I just love this game to fcking much. I played Honkai Impact 3rd too, and i still hold Honkai Impact 3rd as "The Best Game Story that i've ever played". But yo, Arknights story have that special place in my heart. As a veteran and active player from Arknights, i really appreciate your reaction. Always love to see someone reacting to Arknights. The gameplay is much better to experience than to view, AK is one of the few gachas that has no issue kicking your teeth in with fair and brutal difficulty. You can eventually outlevel a lot of the content(in my experience it takes ~6 months of regular f2p play to reach that power plateau), there's still plenty where outsmarting the challenge is your only option. Every event/episode(which is the name of the main story chapters, not the anime) introduces something new mechanically. Many long-term players have self-imposed challenges to help the easy stuff still be enjoyable and not just place their maxed-out meta squad for the hundredth time. As for the story, it is unfortunately all unvoiced visual novel that tends to be paced far slower than it needs to be. That said, it's the best damn book I've ever read. The world is brutal, not for shock value but because reality is brutal, and all the cultures and many events loosely reflect real cultures and events. Terra doesn't have humans like Earth does, everyone has animal features (or mythical "animals", like dragons, oni, angels, devils), and many of the more powerful deities/monsters tend to have fully animal forms (the penguin is actually pretty high on the lore power scale). This is a nice visual language for identifying characters, you noticed in the Il Siricusano stuff that everyone had the same ears, because it takes place in the area where the dominant race is wolves. Bears are from the region with some of the worst living conditions, so the little bear girl being alone in a foreign city is even more tragic. Diversity in a group, or lack thereof, and individual backgrounds all visually summarized through design. The Doctor is your player character, but rarely the focal character. You correctly called out Amiya as the main protagonist for most of the main story. Events can focus on anyone and anywhere in the vast world. There are only a couple villains who are hated, many of them are actually the stars of the story and fan favorites, getting more focus and characterization than the much wider cast of allies.

Starset is the band that made the music for the 2 Concept Trailers (plus the 3rd which you didn't get to); The songs respectively are: Monster, Unbecoming, and Infected. 8:48 - If you're coming from 3d RPGs like Genshin Impact, Zelda BotW, etc. You probably won't care for AK's gameplay. It's the kind of gameplay that, unless you are super into real-time strategy games (RTS), you'll probably get bored of it quick. Also, the story is told almost exclusively in a visual novel style (so a mountain of reading with no voice acting; some of the stories are the length of 1-2 novels in word count). 9:45 - (left to right) Texas (one of the most popular characters), Ch'en (my fav waifu, no touch), Liskarm, Exusiai, Amiya, Sora, Silence, and Projekt Red 11:42 - Indeed. The Main Theme (story) is largely, "Would you like a side of tragedy with that tragedy for your meal?" 12:16 - As I understand it, the studios work together like this concerning Arknights: Yostar is the publisher; Studio Montaigne is the primary team behind Arknights who themselves work within the larger gaming studio that is Hypergrpyh. 20:20 - The side stories, like this one, are often on the lighter side to offer a reprieve from how dark the Main Theme is. 24:24 - I'm not too familiar with voice actors in general, but I've read that there are a lot of well-known voices among the Japanese cast. 25:32 - An anime has been released for the game and has just finished Season 2. I'm a little biased because season 1 was what got me to start playing the game in the first place, but most people agree that it adapts what is inarguably the weakest portion of the Arknight main story (Game Episode 0-3). However, the anime adapts the game story rather accurately (a little is left out in season 2, but nothing major IMO). 25:52 - Easily my favorite song in the franchise as one of the first videos I ever saw regarding Arknights was the full version of the song as an AMV (no new footage different from what you're already watching): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2O0VxjAldm4.html 28:38 - Darkest story in the game IMO. 29:22 - Also of note, unlike the first trailer which was narrated by Grani (horse girl on the left at 29:24), this one is narrated by Skadi (Orca girl on the right, same timestamp). Sometimes the different narrator will provide a new perspective on that time in the story. (e.g., Amiya at 31:08) 35:50 - Exusiai. Another insanely popular character in the fandom. Her race is Sankta (Angels) and her race tends to be the only people on Terra (AK's world) that can use firearms (Jessica at 37:48 is one of the extremely few exceptions). The world of Arknights has all kinds of races from real animals and mythological/religious entities; this was done to make them stand out a bit more against other anime games and shows. Alright. As you can tell, I just wrote this while watching and pausing. I hope you enjoyed all of it. For myself, I've been playing since December 2022 (so just about a year now), and while the gameplay does get boring at times, it is the other stuff (i.e. story, music, characters, settings, etc.) that keeps me with the game and probably will for the foreseeable future.

Coming in from the 3D PV trailers. Glad to see this game piqued your interest! I remember you said something along the lines of "enemies or lesbians?" last vid, which is surprisingly common in-game. See also "Are they partners or 'Partners'?'" Other things worth mentioning: • I strongly recommend the Character Factions trailers too. Gives you a lot of characters you'll see often • Like the others said, AK is much more interesting played rather than watch. Especially for early game since you can try out which characters you get first and play around with them. • I'm not sure if there's a playlist set up already up I feel like its best to view the animation PVs with the character trailers themselves. Much easier to find out "Who's that?" when they're most likely a new playable character who will have their name displayed in-trailer. • Character trailers also have the added bonus of showcasing skins for other characters which is a nice visual treat • Think of "Episodes" as a volume in a manga. Each episode has varying number of stages in them with story before and after each main stage. So you can treat those as a Chapter instead. • Side Story rerun trailers are neat if you want another character's perspective. I believe Heart of Surging Flame rerun is one of the few that has a tiny bit of additional animation to showcase the character introduced for the rerun • Contingency Contracts are seasonal challenge events. They're a "Pick Your Own Poison"-type where you can select what debuffs you want for your team, or what buffs you want to give the enemies. Its more geared towards the experienced players, but they're fun to tackle as you build your squad more and more. Players recieve special credit to unlock material and exclusive character skins • Contingency Contract themes. Non-copyrighted. You will want to listen to the full tracks after hearing thr snippets used in the trailers. They play in-game too as you set up your team. I believe from the fifth one onward there's also additional themes that play in-battle • Music. There's a ton of it across various genres. Electronic, Rock, Metal, Rap, RnB, and various genre blends that will surprise you. 6-Star characters have their own theme/EP. Events have their own albums has well, and the boss themes go HARD. Sometimes we might even get musicians relatively known in their genre for some tracks. ~~ Also available on YT and Spotify under 塞壬唱片-MSR (Monster Siren Records) non-copyrighted • The music that tends to be copyrighted are more Global-focused third party tracks that nowadays tend to coincidence with major side stories/events. These tend to have much more recognizable names. The Steve Aoki and Yellow Claw ones for example. MVs for these are great too. • Concept trailer 3 is another copyrighted song, being Infected by Starset once again. This one is extra special since it was first played for the game's two year anniversary before being released as a single, then added to a future album. • Lastly for music are Ambience Synesthesia PVs. These are real life concerts that perform songs from the game and concert original songs. We tend to get some of the characters outfits as purchasable skins in-game. Also worth watching/listening • There's other supplementary materials in the form of official Manhuas and the anime. I also recommend the animated shorts of Lee's Detective Agency and Kay's Daily Doodle if you want to watch something unrelated to the main plot or side story. I believe both should be available on YT as well

Bronya's voice actor is also in this game but another character, "Showsant" is her (from a Bronya's fan)

dubstep isnt just the only Music for Arknights. If you check out their EP music (character theme songs) you will see a f*ck ton of different genres as well as different languages used in the songs depending on the characters ethnicity.

Concept trailer 1 was before the game was even out so some designs are different now im glad Starset eased up on copywrite it seems. Song: Monster. Concept trailer 2: (unfortunately the stories arent voice acted, but every character you can use has a va or 3) And now the designs are changed to what they are in game. Song: Unbecoming by Starset. 9:30 all the different classes in the game. Yostar did the anime too. Song: Save us from ourselves. Surprised you didnt get anything related to copywrite here lol maybe they also eased up on it? Hmm. Song: Survival again surprised but hey i wont complain if they wont. Not bronya but anne tamaki from P5 and Hinata from Naruto. Ah yep untitled world got copywrited had a feeling wed get to that copywrite eventually. Ancient Forge: First chinese new year. And the first Sui sibling. AD ISNT AK MUST SKIP HEHE. Children of Ursus is NOT HAPPY IN THE SLIGHTEST. Ah now we at reruns they have same animations but different character speaking with different lines. Yep thats otto but now a good guy :) named phantom. Episodes in game are new main story chapters. Holy Knight Light: he has a badass voice cause he is THE EMPEROR. As for Texas VA the va isnt raiden. But i like her en va too. Your mic kinda messed up during the animation, idk if you noticed. Ah a cut from the vod and mic fixed for now. Surprise fireworks! Also a smiling Chen :) A beautiful ending. Bronyas va voices Snowsant who you saw in the ancient forge trailer. As a player that have played this game since release only for the story. All i can say is that i love it. Its not perfect, i mean the storytelling is sometime awful and a chore to get through. Events and main stories can takes 3 hours to 8 whole hours to read and to read alone, not including beating the stages. So yea, its hella long. Reading AK story feels like reading a whole book But what i love about AK story the most is the lore and worldbuilding. I would rate it 9.5/10. The lore and worldbuilding is so vast and full of variety, each place and nation have their own detailed histories and politics. Each nation stories feel so detailed that it actually feels like an actual real world. Unlike most other game where they create the world to tell the story of the characters, AK created the characters to tell the story of the world they live in. And it make the world more immersive.

Been playing since beginning, and stuff. Story and lore is absolute beauty. Mostima is best girl. The gameplay is fkn brain killing sometimes. And some times its so bullshit my ass rages, but when completed without letting anything pass i feel like a god of strategy

4:14 No sadly because it's an old game, back then people have more attention span than today so they can save money on the VAs ,espasaily when you have 1000+ word per EPs/chapter. But in today games if you don't have VAs you will suffer to build any player/fan-base.

Been playing for a while now, and I'll be honest: The gameplay is Arknight's weakest element. But, that being said, it's one of the most forgiving gacha's out there, where F2P doesn't feel like you're suffering, and any shelling out of cash feels like they earned it rather than they yoinked it from your wallet when not looking. It's a slooooow start though, with the weakest part of the story as the first couple chapters, and getting some of the gameplay stuff like your base up and running is a bit of a slog at times. But the story and characters keep me coming back, and once you start getting into later content the gameplay starts becoming a much more enjoyable challenge. Especially if you don't have a ton of high end units yet. And even with those, it'll throw you for a loop at times with new enemy types or obstacles to overcome. I am the first to admit I am a huge sucker for story, but everything comes together to make it easily on my top five games of all time list. And there are some damn good games it's fought its way to pass. Worth a look if you're interested, and the market for Arknights content is just growing too. Especially with a new game on the way. EDIT: And while I see other comments mentioning it, I too have to shill for the MUSIC holy HECK. Every genre under the sun just about and there are so many bangers. Check out some of them. You might be surprised what you end up liking~
