Hi, writing from Colombia. I just bought the hp Ink Advantage Ultra 5749, which has ADF, but I just realized it doesn't have the option to do 2-sided printing. Is there any accessory that you know I might use to be able to si this in this printer or do you know anything about it? Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such accessory. It has to be a feature inbuilt and supported by both the product and accompanying driver software. So it is not possible. Software will not know that you have added an accessory, so it will not make the changes necessary for two side printing.

how to make hp printer automatically flip the page for printing on both sides instead of manually flipping the pages? i have a ink tank 410 printer

We dont have to manually flip in this printer. After printing on one side, the printer will pull back the paper and print on the other side. No idea about 410 printer.

You can download hp anywhere from android app store. Not sure if all the functions will be available from the app, but you can do printing using this app. Once you download and start the app, it will detect the printer on the same network. You can connect to it and scan or print using the app.

PRATHEESH I do not know if they have released any newer models with better features at the price, but when I checked a month back I felt it is still a good deal.

PRATHEESH yes it is relatively more economical than other ink jet printers. If you print a lot, take a look at Epson inktank printers, they will prove to be much cheaper because they use ink tanks. Ink tanks(ciss-continuous ink system) can be installed on hp too, but it is after market and will void warranty. Service, I think HP has better network than others but I never needed service, so can't comment on how good it is.

Samvid Kulkarni You should select that option from print dialog. The dialog may be slightly different but you may get an idea from this video. Check again on how I printed from libreoffice. After selecting print, a print dialog window opens, here select printer, then properties, after this the settings should be same as in the video. If you are not on windows, these may be slightly different.

VISHKI I am using Microsoft office and it is giving me option to manually change the paper side. It doesn't do it automatically. I did check settings of printer but couldn't find any.

Samvid Kulkarni When you click on rpint in word or other office product, you will get the print dialog. (I think this is where you saw 'Manual Duplex' checkbox). Here, make sure HP printer is selected and click on 'properties'. In the properties dialog that opens, find "Print on Both Sides"(this is same as duplex) and select 'flip on long edge' or 'flip on short edge'. click ok and then print.

VISHKI I finally found the problem. It was driver issue. I did download new drivers from website and it fixed the problem. Drivers in CD are outdated and even after update you dont get option of two sided printing.

Samvid Kulkarni Oh ok. Good that you sorted it out. The features comes in handy sometimes. I used the drivers from cd during initial installation but did not use the feature back then, so I did not notice. My latest installation where I used duplex is a downloaded one.

sir am planing to buy hp3545 for home use, am not a heavy user. avg use 10 pages in two months .so i have a doubt about (ink dry)

+Deen Jaffar Yeah, Ink drying is the biggest issue. My printer cartridges are currently dried, need to get a new set. You should make sure that you print a couple of pages once every two or three weeks atleast. Printing atleast a print quality report(from printer menu) may help keeping the cartridges in good shape. They print even when I leave it unused even for a month, but I think the quality degrades. So ideally atleast once every 2 or 3 weeks is good.

Two reasons I can think of, 1. Alignment problem. Alignment can be adjusted, open the printer settings and check. 2. Blocked cartridge print heads or ink has exhausted for one or more colors

PRATHEESH No, there is no usb slot. You can print from your Android or IOS devices using HP app, but there is no provision for pen drives.
