So it comes with a 500G HDD It gets replaced with 256G SSD and it will make it faster? My hp all in one slow now and looking to upgrade. Just seems odd to go down in memory and up in speed?

@@TheCgehlhausen4 It would definitely give a second life to that AIO... And try to increase system RAM to 8 GB for best performance... What makes the difference is the SSD SATA III random read speed compared to the current HDD, not the capacity itself... 256 GB is minimum recommended Storage for OS drive nowadays...

Nice video. I had to jam a flathead screwdriver in between the screen and the back to pry that that apart. It was STUCK. Other than a bunch of little dents and possibly a couple of little broken plastic pieces, it's working great now with the new SSD haha.

good man, well done . I did the same yesterday! :D all in one lenovo. I suffered just a little because the "case" doesn´t have size for SSD. yes: new life for the offimatic all in one - we know. you can't demand so much performance , it is as is . ( sorry but ... a few plastics of open- close are broken, I could not avoid, this is the second time I do that O! )

It just takes a lot time. I find using a cellphone tool kit helps a lot. I only taken two apart an HP and Lenovo. Both are good office PC and that about it.

if you wanna upgrade the memories, best to change both. sometimes it doesn't work well with other brand than HP.

Adapter's don't always line up, some HP all in ones have 4 holes for a SSD already drillled into the hard drive cage, check before you buy, sometimes one screw if the cage has holes or grated looking can be used get that screw to hold the SSD, no moving parts so just need something to hold it. Always looking to save a buck

Asus-A320 M-K = most basic function if have doubt then can buy B450M use more $$ If your motherboard box comes with a silver color AMD Ryzen 2000 series Ready sticker, most likely you will need to update BIOS before you can use a AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor. If your motherboard box comes with a orange color AMD Ryzen 3000 series Ready sticker, it comes with new BIOS , most likely it will support a AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor out of the box

Oh come on! What kind of voodoo magic did you use to get the door of the optical drive off? It went so fast I couldn't see what you were doing. I know how to open it, but once open how did you get the door off?

Nevermind, I figured it out without breaking. There are real tiny little hook clasps that need to be unhooked by bending in order to get it out. From this angle start with the bottom. If you rotate the system 90° clockwise from this angle, start with the far left.

Has someone tried 16 GB RAM (2 x 8 GB DDR3L-1600) on this System? As per processor specs (J3710) it can handle up to 8 GB but I was wondering if it can actually take the 2 x 8 GB. My nephews' AIO has that same processor and 1 x 8 GB module installed and, thus, a free slot...

Yes you can. Any DVD can be replaced with a Caddy but transfer speeds are super low. Better to uninstall the HDD and use that as a caddy, speed difference is slower so the bottleneck isnt as bad as with ssd
