Lon. I appreciate you always taking a bit of time to show us an alternative OS running on these devices (please continue doing that). It would be pretty neat for you to perhaps evaluate a laptop that ships with Linux by default. For example, System76 is a U.S. based computer maker in Colorado that ships their own version of Linux (based on Ubuntu) with their machines (I'm not affiliated with them).
Thanks for explaining the difference between Intel and AMD processors and different ports and explained better the price difference between the two models!!!!!!
You said the speakers are bottom firing and up firing when in tablet mode I noticed that when you zoomed in on the keyboard it looked like the speakers were flanking the sides of the keyboard.
Noticed that too as I would have been surprised given the HP laptops we've had with the Bang & Olufsen branding seem to have upward-facing speakers next to the keyboard. I really, really wish they had laid out the speakers in a wide manner between the keyboard and the screen, like on my HP Pavilion gaming laptop or on my wife's older Envy x360, so there would still be room for a keypad - without that, it's unfortunately a non-starter for a lot of professionals who otherwise love the form factor.
@@johnandmegh It would have been nice to see them put 2 more speakers under those grills. They could have provided a number of interesting, selectable options for sound output. They could have done a 4.0 surround, or duplicate 2.0 having both upfiring and downfiring, or allowed you to pick which set of speakers you wanted depending on the 2-in-1 mode you were in, or even some weird 2.2 atmos setup, mixed down from 5.1.2. Unique features are always a good way to sell your product.
I have the model with 16GB ram and 5825U the only difference is mine has the fingerprint scanner. I wish they stuck the volume buttons on the side like they did with older models of the envy x360s.
Hi. Great video, appreciate the time you took for it. My question is about possibly upgrading the RAM on the entry AMD 5625u… you’re saying that I shouldn’t get one 16gb and keep the other 4gb it came with? It’s better to get two 8gb sticks so it’s dual channel mode? Thanks
Yes better to go with 2 x 8 for dual channel. if you had 16gb + 4gb it'd still work. just not as fast. Hell even 4gb + another 4gb would be faster than 16gb+4gb.
Just a quick question, since you brought up Linux in your video: how does Ubuntu (or any other Linux distro) do with the touch capabilities In laptops like this? Did you face any issues? Did you have to do any additional tweaks and workarounds to be able to use the laptop in tablet mode while running Ubuntu? Thnx
you said the OLED will use much more power? that doesn't make sense ,they are usually much more efficient because they can turn off individual pixels to save energy, especially if you use dark mode on windows/browser.
What about the hinge??? A lot of people complained about last year hp envy models there hinges were broken ?? What about 2022 model ?? Can you test the henge quality
@@yasser2768 never! HP knows of the it’s weak plastic hinges and refuses to correct its manufacturing. Big scam. Pretty much all models after 2018 had the lowest quality and it shows after usage not in the first months no at least a year or two years after and depending on your country most probably after the warranty ends that’s why hp has been ignoring this because they know we are either gonna buy a new laptop or try to fix it ourselves
I really like this laptop, but I would like to know if anyone face a common issues?? Like I saw people facing display hinge issue. Are HP rake care about this in New models? Thank you!
HP is advertising this laptop as wifi 6 but is it really? I go into adapter settings and enable 802.11ax. The only bands showing are 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Fishy no 6Ghz showing that says something right there.
I'd go with HP MPP 2.0 Tilt pen or the Microsoft Surface Pen. I've tried both and they both work great with any of the HP pen-compatible laptops such as this.
Please do not buy this line after a one year of use almost half of the people who bought this line had the laptop's hinges broken. I included writing this comment from said hinge broken and screen cracked laptop
@@halidurazak6501 just steer off HP my friend all of its models have its hinges broken after a year of usage. Almost all buyers experienced this myself included worst thing they released newer models like the envy 2022 but god it’s the same a year and the hinge breaks you can’t close or open your laptop because the screen is gonna break further and further on until the connection breaks completely and screen is black. HP is aware that of the faults in its manufacturing but refused to correct the problem
