It make sense , plastic retracts do to sponge effect, and you have increase the gape between the paper and printers head with just a sticky tape 😂🤓 That’s clever !!! Thanks

Worked for me. I didn't use the sticky tape, I re-shaped the spring to make it push a bit harder instead. The principle was spot on though.

Hi, thanks in advance for your help and interest. I have a problem with a HP7500A and that is that after changing the printhead the machine has entered a loop and only shows the animation for instructions of how to install the printhead. You can switch it off/on or unplug its back plug, but after loading its routines shows the animation once again. I tried several procedures as pluggin with 6 and # pushed, home+return+home+home after pushing ten seconds the on button while pluggin it or pushing four times return button, but nothing works, it only shows the animation and no other button lights or works but the pause or >. Please any help would be so much appreciated, I'm almost desperate. Thanks.

Did both adjusted spring and that didn’t work. Then used tape and doubled it even. Same print head failure. I had the print head fail a few years ago and all of a sudden it worked again. It’s old. It’s done

Hi i have tried this but printer say " Remove all ink catridges, next lift gray latch and remove printerhaed. then re install printhead and ink cartidge can you help even after new printer head same prbm
