12:49 uhhh a desktop 6700XT you used as a price comparison performs waaaaay better then the 6600M in that laptop... the performance is not comparable lol what are you even talking about dude?
Bro where have you been lol... Laptops have been getting really good for nearly 2 years now. High end modern laptops can literally be desktop replacements now. Not a high end desktop replacements of course but perfectly adequate for anything you throw at em.
True, people hate on laptops too much, and as a gaming laptop owner I can comfortably say that I cannot get a system that will match or outperform my laptop at the same price point with a good screen in the current market where I am
@@bendybam9630 Which laptop do you own? Check benchmarks or RU-vid reviews on laptop vs pc (like the one from "The Tech Chap"), a dekstop pc has a better price performance ratio than a laptop, if specs are similar, as the desktop pc offers better performance because the hardware parts have higher potential and numbers, cooling is also an issue, desktop pcs have definitely better cooling, as they generally have more space inside their case regarding airflow, compared to a thin laptop case. Not to hate on your laptop in any way, yet numbers and benchmarks indicate that PCs are the better option for price performance.
I love my gaming laptop. I can play just about every modern game on high settings at least and get 60+ fps. Tarkov, Hunt, Elden Ring, MK11, BF1 all run buttery smooth.
@@BlutigerFuchs Normally yes desktop will always have better price to performance but right now with the chip shortage, GPU shortage, and everything else there are some laptops that are better priced then desktops. Reason being is mostly the GPU. Even in prebuilt Desktops they're charging a fortune because of the discrete GPU where as laptops aren't nearly as over priced for what you're getting. Mostly because Laptop companies make their mobile GPU's in house and get their chips directly from Nvidia or AMD where as prebuilt Desktops are getting their GPU's from board partners at ridiculous prices which is then transferred to us. You can get a decent gaming laptop with an rtx 3070 mobile in it for around the same price as a desktop with an rtx 3050. it's ridiculous.
You can totally tell this guy hasn't used a gaming laptop in a long time. They are quite powerful considering their size compared to the pre-pascal generation of gaming laptop GPUs. Always going to sacrifice some power for portability and they will run loud/hot but they are not weak performing by any means.
As a omen laptop user. A tip for you, Now you can just press Shift + F2 to kno the temperature and current system fps. The first game i ran in my laptop was ghost of tsushima, which burned my skin off just sitting near the laptop, around 85 - 95 degree Celsius in about 3 hrs of gameplay. I use omen 16 i9 nvidia 4060 8gb
I have this laptop but with RTX 3070 and 32GB RAM and it's amazing! Especially because it's not so noisy as for gaming laptop and temperatures never reach more than 80 degrees of Celsius.
You can play Red Dead Redemption, Cyberpunk, etc. on >60FPS without problems. Reducing FPS can make your laptop running more quiet. For me, only problem is absence of Numpad. But all in all - I recommend it. Tested Helios 300 before and this one is much much better.
Hello, my previous comment was deleted from unknown reason. Yes, I still recommend this laptop. After more than a year, it still works very well. Temperatures are still below 80°C when playing games. But need to check performance manually after updates. Because for example, AMD chipset software that installs with driver update, lead to CPU spikes and instability. So only issues you may face with drivers. Hardware is great :)
I had an older version of this, forgot the exact model though. never used it for games but I can confirm even one of these from a few years ago was able to run maya, zbrush, and any other awful computer destroying 3d modeling software that i needed to use! it looks like they’ve improved the aesthetic of them a bit too because on the hp omen I had the keyboard only lit up in that classic gamer black and red LMAO. It was a good little computer but my dog stepped on it and cracked the screen and instead of getting it fixed i just sold it since i have a comparable “3d graphics workstation laptop” provided by my college now lol
I have an HP Omen 15 for 2 years and I'm very happy with it. If this newest model is anything like mine (looks like it is) then I can vouch for its performance and stability. I can play every game I want with at least 80+ FPS without the temps getting insane. Plus I can take it anywhere I go, everything I wanted with a computer.
That stuttering in Apex Legends is actually a shader cache problem. You need to set your shader cache from the Nvidia control panel on unlimited. I have recently got the same laptop and its surprisingly reliable, almost as good as my main pc lol
i own omen 15 2020 i7 10th gen and rtx 2060 16 gb ram and 512gb ssd with 300hz 1080p display ALL I CAN SAY THIS IS A GOOD MACHINE especially the cooling since i undervolted it a little bit. I saw some of my friends have rtx 3070 on their laptops and sometimes it thermal throttle mine it doesnt as long i maintain the dust out of the fans and clean it every few months. it is 15 months to me now and still works like brand new
Kwis delivers yet another banger video, congrats on the sponsor, love the content as always and I hope to see more videos soon! P.S. when did Mr Kwis get a girlfriendo😯
Why do almost all windows laptops have this slanted design at the bottom? Only razer and Asus seem to have a rectangular bottom chassis. I would think a full rectangular shape would help with air flow
because the design highly affects the airflow which directly affects temperature and gpu & cpu frequency. So each laptop brands have different chasis design fitt for bottom design
I bought this laptop back in December. It worked great until just past the return window. GPU completely died. Best Buy wouldn't do anything about it (and tried to charge me $100 to send it to HP). So I contacted HP, they sent me a box with a shipping label for free and told me that it would take 3-4 business days to repair and test upon arrival and would be sent back next-day. If it took longer than expected, I would receive a loaner, and if they couldn't fix it they would send a replacement. I sent it out Feb 1 (same day I got my shipping label) and got an email for confirmation as soon as they got it, as well as a link to a status report page. I started following that page to keep up with what was going on. It said my estimated delivery date was Feb 9. Feb 9 comes around and nothing had changed, so I contact support to get clarification. They told me the same thing as the first person, except omitted the bit about the loaner and replacement. The next day my estimated delivery date had changed to March 10. So I contact support again to ask them about a loaner or replacement. They tell me they put in a request to have the case manager contact me. He contacts me a couple days later just to give me his contact information. I email him back with my concerns and got no response. I couldn't get him on the phone either. At this point my service ticket says "Please contact HP" so I get back on with customer support, tell them the case manager isn't responding to my emails or answering my calls. They tell me there's a new case manager and they put in a request for them to contact me, but they can't give me the contact information. I give it a few days. Nothing. So I email the other guy again asking for information. He gets back to me the next day (first time he actually responded to one of my emails) and basically told me nothing. At this point it's nearing the end of February and they've had my laptop for almost a month. I asked for either a replacement or a refund because they weren't telling me anything, my service ticket still said to contact them (I still don't know why, they never actually told me anything when I did), and I was just being given the run around through the entire process. They were well past the time I was promised. A few days later I got an email asking for a copy of my receipt, which I sent immediately after getting their email. But this was 5pm on a Friday. The following Wednesday I got an email saying they were going to send me a check because the repairs could potentially be further delayed. I just got that check around the first week of March. It was a great laptop until a component failed. I thoroughly enjoyed it for a month. Their customer service was atrocious though, which made me never want to buy from HP again.
don't to make fun laptops if u hate of them or didn't have experience and less information about them 1. gaming laptops are warmer than desktops .. but they are smaller and portable, and... They designed for heating but not issue 2. they're not quite yeah but what do u except !? It's just 2kg it can't be has large fans ! 3.laptop has everything , display , keyboard , speakers , touchpad and ... 4. Less price in this days than desktops 5. Design ! Oh it's just beautiful and amazing Good luck
I mean a laptop is meant to be portable yes but a gaming laptop is another genre of laptop it’s portability isn’t really a prime factor no one plays with a gaming laptop on their lap it’s not even recommended for men to do so with a non gaming laptop noise will always be a thing on gaming laptops if you don’t like it don’t review them idk
I've had an Omen laptop from 2020 and omg I can stream and game at the same time and it does get a bit hot and loud but if I have my headphones on I barely hear it, I don't mind having some of my settings on medium while gaming either. I love it so much, it works great with my art and switching to gaming, I honestly don't even plan on switching to a desktop computer until it dies cause it's really decent and is super consistant
Well geez! You don't need high fps for how YOU play games! Only takes a couple of frames before you die anyway!! :). Seriously. Thanks for the review. This system is heavily on sale at BB and just wanted to make sure it was safe getting the great deal instead of getting the latest model. Bottom line=YES
I have an Omen from 2021 and I love it. I did upgrade some of the things like the screen and the memory and stuff. I can run Rust really well (my old laptop wouldn't even load it). It hasn't overheated at all. I do make sure to take a lot of care of it with cleaning out the dust and such.
@@dynl9141 WiFi 6e, run MSI after burner and learn about the program, cap your gpu at 1.45ghz frequenzy limiting the max wattage to 20% lower while still keeping 97% max output, and only getting max temps of 65
I own the 2021 11th gen I7 + 3060 version love this thing, but my mousepad don't work properly and will lose it's mind after a few minutes of list, but idgaf cause I have a mouse now, so this laptop is fucking amazing. It's most likely just my laptop, and I need to update Bios cause I did buy it used for 944 dollars off Mercari. Fans ain't that loud, it don't get too hot, The Keyboard sounds good, the Trackpad is amazing, The screen is sharp. Best Fucking Purchase I've ever made and Honest don't regret it, haven't done heavy gaming on it since it is my college Laptop and I'm waiting for move in before I start pushing this MF to the max, but I for normal playing is hella fast, like, goes far passed my desktop's 1660 which has been holding on by strings.
Hello A recent physics graduate, I'm getting into data analysis (I'm not a gamer). Although I don't need a lot of power, I can spend some extra money. I came across this one for $2199 (a data analysis vlogger recommended them). That seems really inexpensive for what I get (pasted below). Opinions? Also, I use Ubuntu (to be exact, PopOS). Will I see any problems? 11th Gen Intel 8-Core i7-11800H I 64GB DDR4 2TB SSD I Geforce RTX 3060 6GB I Thunderbolt Backlit Win11 + 32GB MicroSD Card
Godyee, using the keyboard and mouse to play games. But i do see your arcade shooter gaming fan , is all i can appreciate . Should of did a dj system build with this back lit unknown brand dust collector, For dj equipment. (Thinking i already saw this video reupload)
I'm using a DELL Inspiron from 2015 on a 4 thread Haswell CPU, it has 16GB of DDR3 and a 860 Pro SSD. I don't have issues browsing with my numerous tabs opened in Firefox.
Hi KristoferYee, I have HP OMEN 16-B0360TX Intel Core i7, 16GB/1TB/RTX 3060 (6GB). Whats your take with INTEL chipset performance on the same grounds ?
I have last year's model of this laptop with a 3070 and a 10750h. It performs fine it can play most any game, but it does get hot and it does sound like it wants to take off and fly away. But it gets over 100 frames per second easy on Black Ops so... trade-offs are everywhere I guess
@@coreycollett3330 All your drivers up to date? Are the fans in your laptop working? That sounds like either a software failure or really hardcore overheating.
I think you might have disliked laptops too much, for someone who moves around a lot, I prefer laptops, and currently I bought a Predator Triton 300 PT315-52-7337 and have no issues running Valorant on High settings and other games xD the only "problem" is yes, the noise of the fans xD but it doesn't studder or drop frames :O
Man, you just earned a sub! Firstly you made me laugh, secondly I scroll down and see we have the same first name so there we go had to sub. Thanks for the review by the way, looking forward to the 2022 version as my TUF F15 is burning my legs.....time to sell and move on to a better product.
