I haven't experience any such issues in over 6 years of use with my 477dw printer. I bought it in 2018 for £303 on Amazon with £130 cashback from HP. Great value for money. I work from home a lot, so an all-in-one printer was important. I have been using third-party ink cartridges and it has been working fantastically. No drop in ink efficiency, no problems with the scanning or software, and it's blazing fast just like a laser printer. As a light-user, I'm also very pleased that the ink doesn't dry out (as an inkjet used to) but I also get all the speed as a laser printer. The duplex printing and auto document feeder are also nice-to-haves. The document feeder occasionally jams if you load too many papers at once, but I'm a light user of the ADF so it's not a problem. Disappointed to hear the 477dw has been discontinued. I may need to buy a bulk set of ink cartridges in case supplies stop!
I returned this printer on day 1 and bought a HP colour laser jet instead. I found the print quality to be very poor with the PageWide inkjet technology. The black ink is not even a nice deep black, it kind of washed out.
When I print any test page, a message appears that there is a paper jam in the back. The printer has been checked completely, but unfortunately there is no paper jam and it still gives us a paper jam message.... Unfortunately, it is one of the worst printers and I do not recommend buying it
There maybe a piece of paper out of sight inside the printer. If so, it's reading that paper and acting the way you see here. I am disappointed at HP's design of this machine. You can not get to vital areas without major disassembly. As I Tech of 24 years, I would not recommend this machine. Get a Laser Printer, when you have issues they are far more straight forward to resolve.
