Monitors companies should really stop including those cable and just add a 6 foot HDMI cable.

One HDMI, one DVI-D. You mentioned in your video that you might do a video on how to set that up. If you've done one I can't seem to find it. If you havne't done one can you please do one? Thanks

To answer some questions in the comments I saw, yes it is Mac compatible, yes it would look AMAZING on the Mac Mini and I have to say if you plan on dual displaying that iMac I saw in the background I don't think you could of gotten a better monitor as far as look wise. The Apple monitors don't even look that close.

This is hp 23xi monitor and sold on amazon for $249 . hp 23er is NOT the same nor different version of that particular monitor, it's completely different from one to another, Hp 23er is is sold on Amazon for $119.

In my firm we purchased about ten of them and in period from half a year till 1 year the colours freaked out on 5 of them....we were lucky it was in guarantee period and problem was unrepairable so we got new ones....but the question is did hp repair that weak spot on new series..

I will think about such a video. I can only say that from regular use, I am very happy that the monitor is matte because the backlight is not as strong /bright as on the iMac. Therefore with a glossy screen the content would be barely visible due to reflections.

The only reason I wanted a imac is because of the sexy looking monitor, but this monitor looks just as good. I think ill stick to windows with this monitor.

after my computer comes out of sleep mode my hp 23xi monitor does not come on to log screen I have to turn off power then turn back on,why do I have to do this?

Poor resolution? What do you mean? Yes I will cover this monitor more in future videos. It was just released which might be a reason for it being barely available anywhere.

If I buy this and plug it into my MacBook Pro with the displayport to DVI adapter can I still use my external thunderbolt hard drive? How could I plug it in?

I got this monitor. The quality is good but it's overall shit. I get really bad ghosting and can see all my tabs through each other

Hey, the stand certainly is a lot more stable than the LG, no doubt about that. Since I have not tested the Dell that is a tough call.

Thats tough to say. Most manufacturers use the same panel so there is not a huge difference. I would go with Asus, LG or HP.

Well it depends on wether your external thunderbolt drive has a thunderbolt out, then you might be able to use that one.

While I have not played Quake on the monitor yet I had no issues with all the games I played on this monitor.

hi is this monitor good for mac mini ? because i buy LG 32" but problem is i can not read anything and i play warcraft . i can not read the chat and any words from interface i want good monitor and i see this in market but i dont know if it good to run everything like real pc screen

There is a new Asus monitor that might even look a little bit better but this one is also very nice.

If you want better built quality and materials you might want to look at the Asus MX series.

Unfortunately I have not tested the Dell. All I can say is that the HP is a great monitor.

That monitor doe's look surprisingly good if i'm honest,Not sure about the free stand that they give you in the box. I would have thought HP would have given you a height as well as tilt adjustment.

Can someone answer this question do this monitor let you switch between inputs for instance if I had my pc hooked up in the avg port and my xbox in the hdmi can I switch between them without having to unplug anything you know as far as inputs ?

Does this monitor come with a plastic covering on the screen, or anti-glare coating? Because I just bought one and the screen looks matte instead of glossy.

Make a video on how to connect 2 of the screens together and explain when to use HDMI, DVI, or VGA. Get nerdy with it and explain the speeds and benefits and advantages compared to each other. I would think HDMI all around is the best way to go, but I wasn't sure. Also, I want to know how to be able to slide windows from screen to screen like MACs do. Also, If I have a MacBook Pro, how can I connect it to one of the screens real quick to say...play a video?? Thanks guys!

Hi I want to ask you about the colour accuracy when is used for still images and more particularly from screen to print accuracy, I know that for video it is not a problem but for image to print cheaper screens shifts colours, of course if you have use it for prints. I understand that this monitor can't be compared with dedicated image editing monitors like ITZO or NEC but how do would you compare it to your iMac screen in terms of colour accuracy screen to print. Also is the screen matt or glos

Is it possible that you can give me some advice on how to calibrate this monitor? I just purchased it along with my mac mini 2012 and for some reason the text is not as sharp as I would like it to be. I've tried messing with the settings but this is my first mac and I'm not sure what I'm really doing. Can you release a video or inform me how to set the settings to that I can enjoy this monitor and Mac mini that I just brought to it's full potential.

First of all, thank you for the review. This is the only review on the internet for this model xD. I am seriously thinking about buying this model and I have one or two questions that you can hopefully answer. The design is overwhelming, and I do guess the picture quality as well, but what am I interested in, how good it is at gaming as thats a quite important aspect for me. Are the lag and response time good enough ? :D

This is not an overpriced Apple product- BUT- u get what you paid for: Mine arrived with a matte screen. The glossy screen give more pop to the colors. Feel is plasticky although aesthetically pleasing design. Coming from HP2509m (which is not LED, not IPS) I am a bit disappointed. Although games look great with the HP + feature.

Hey TechCentury, I have a question about the HP Pavillion 22fi IPS monitor. Any idea if it's a good buy? I haven't been able to find a solid review about the item. It looks similar to the HP 23xi you just unboxed, though. I'm weary about the sale I saw, its priced 102 Euros.

Yes this certainly is good enough! Had no issues with playing xbox.

why you didn't showed after you turned it on ? the one thing you can't see in main manufacturer page is actual turned on monitor.

Well for my eyes the colour accuracy was good but I am not an expert so you might find flaws. In regards to gaming performance I am very happy for Xbox and PC gaming.

Hey, to get sound you will need to purchase the XBOX HDMI AV Cable. The you can connect your XBox to your speakers.

Hi, I am glad you enjoyed the review. I mainly used calibration in the software of Mac OS and not on the monitor itself.

Hey, sorry for taking so long to reply and thank you for watching my videos! It honestly is a tough question, the iMac is a great machine but I would probably recommend a mini since you can upgrade the ram and hard drive. You can't do that on the iMac.

So far I am really impressed with the 23xi's performance. One thing it lacks is definitely the vesa mount so you can't mount the 23xi to a wall. Besides that I think it should be comparable.
