This is an amazing tutorial! For the PSU I am actually going to drill a hole at the top of the PC case and place this fan grill over the hole so that I dont have to flip it the other way around. You can get fan grills real cheap and so long as you have a hand drill with the right drill bit, cutting a hole shouldnt be a problem. Thanks again!
Glue a 140mm to 120mm fan adapter over that side grill. Then you can add a 120mm fan. The adapter can be 3d printed or on Amazon for $10. I also modified a few to add a 120mm front fan. I used a hole saw to cut a 120mm hole. Used a dremel to make the folded metal flat. Drilled fan mounting holes and attached the fan. I moddified the dvd drive bezel by cutting a rectangle hole in it, the size of the dvd drive. I thinned the bezel down some and glued wire mesh to the back and glued the bezel back onto the case. I used a dremel to cut the psu support lip and made the new screw holes for flipping the psu and moving it further from the gpu. I popped an rtx 3050 single fan card and the i7-7700 processor, 16gb ram, and samsung 970 evo plus ssd. Unfortunately I can't link to pictures but it looks great with some ARGB fans with a controller like the ezdiyfab fans.
I replaced the original HP 570 PSU with the following: a used HP OMEN OBELISK 875 500W 80+ BRONZE PSU. Perfect fit (minus Optical drive power cable). Air cooling fan sucks air from behind PSU so no air flow compromised. I also installed a GTX 1050 Ti to replace the original R9 videocard. PC came with 16GB of ram and i5-7400 processor.
@@MelKottoGrimmlin It's not the fastest PC in the world, but it works without a problem. At least you know you can fit the HP OMEN OBELISK 875 500W 80+ BRONZE PSU if the original one ever fails.
@@lanieperez1370 It should fit without a problem as long as it does not have a big (2 bays size) dedicated video card. Otherwise you may need to cut videocard's shroud a bit. And remember: the OMEN OBELISK PSU does not have the optical drive power cable. PSU sizing: (Width)5-7/8 x (Height)3-3/8 x (Depth)5-1/2.
After seeing those Valorant numbers, thinking of buying it along with RX 6400 so that I don't have to initially buy a new PSU. Total will be under 200 Euros. I will mainly do 1080p Low. Hopefully will get 200 consistent.
Mine is absolutely burning up with the fans hitting top speed. I am now going to start drilling holes in the side and inverting the PSU with the holes I drilled into the top. Kingpin KPX thermal paste too. You should show PUBg and how the fans are screaming on the system b/c of the lack of airflow.......
Hey, I am getting a GTX 1650 Super, and that fan placement is kind of concerning. I have this exact model, and I have a feeling the fans might be fighting for air causing screaming sounds. Though it’s not a big deal.
Hey, I did this 2 years ago, and no longer use that PC, however, it worked perfectly for me! Note that you will have to get another PSU as well, since the default PSU in this housing doesn't have the 6/8pin plug required to plug with the GPU! @@somerandomguy4558 EDIT: You will also need to disconnect the CD Drive. I forget if it is mentioned in the video or not...

I put 16 gig ram and a ssd hd chip on the motherboard. And swapped the boot order. And it flys. No graphics card addition. And it is running win11pro. No problem. Less than 100.00. Use the old hd still there for storage
I installed a zotac 1050 ti mini but it gives me black screen only no display and when i put back my gt 710 it give display . What can i do to fix it help me plzzzzzz
It is most likely a driver issue, so you should probably DDU the old drivers and start the system with the 1050 and the windows will pull the basic driver until you install from nvidia
Have you tried upgrading to a SATA SSD? It appears it would crash.. I've tried 3 different SATA SSD's: 870 EVO, 860 EVO (all 1TB) and Kingston 240GB SATA SSD. They all crash at the HP Logo.
Was seriously looking to do this, then I hit the links. right now that GTX 1660 Super is over 800 dollars. I really hope graphic card prices start coming down soon.
I’ve never built in one so I can’t say for sure, but if it is the mini tower or full tower version I would say you don’t need the low profile card. But if using the standard PSU I don’t know if there are pcie connections so you may need a card without external power
Really depends on your applications, but if your just gaming 16gb should be plenty. And any ITX style card will do, RX5600XT, GTX 1660 (regular or Ti), RX 580 or 570
I have this same model of PC, and the though of removing that much stuff for the replacement is the powe supply is completely mind boggling my goodness. I dont think I can pull it off.

Yeah I figure drilling a couple holes will solve the issue between the psu and gpu without any extreme case modding. My friend has the same set up and I was wondering how I could possibly upgrade this pc and then I came across this video. Big thank you for doing this 🙏 Subscribed!
@@Paranormal_Gaming_ i will be posting a pic once I do it. Currently waiting for the parts to come in. If you are doing it yourself I recommend getting drill bits for plastic and standard bit for the metal casing at the bottom. That way you ensure you don't crack the plastic. Two ideas: Cut the bottom out about the size of the fan OR drill 5 holes across and 5 holes down with holes being fairly close together should be more than enough airflow for the PSU. If you want dust protection just tape or glue down a small screen mesh sheet at the bottom before installing your psu.
@@nelliocalypse I’m thinking of doing this, but I have a question. I thought you’d just screw holes into the metal part of the case so they’d align with the holes on the PSU. What would be the use of plastic drill bits? Would you be drilling into the PSU as well?
Yes and no. The front panel USB and audio ports are built in. They won't be accessible in an aftermarket case. The case screws don't line up properly irrc so you'll need to zip tie the board in place. Better to keep it in the original case or buy a new/used b150, b250, or b350 board
@@TechRoundUp My computer won't detect the graphics card - I've got my monitor plugged in through the hdmi port of the thing - when I got to install the drivers it says it can't complete because I don't have an NVIDIA gpu - im just trying to use a GT 710 2g low profile until the prices of the card you used in the video come down, got it for free. There was already a 2g AMD in there it started blackscreening. Haven't replaced the PSU I have the original in there. Thanks for the response and the video
The HP-lupin motherboard can only handle 16gb. The cpu can easily do 32 tho. You could OC the ram with setFSB, but every reset the OEM bios will reset those changes.
@@origin3271 some have a 300W PSU like the 570-p020. Meaning no upgrade is needed. The 1660 super will be bottlenecked by the CPU, a 1050ti doesnt require a 6/8pin and will work in the system quite well.

Can you please explain why when i opened my CPU to look at it for the first time in 2 years, i placed it back and it started going really loud and heating up, (that was a year ago) and i know i placed it right on the motherboard and to this day it has not crashed ones or any problems, but on most games it goes really loud and heats up, its really odd, my PC was very quite for the 2 years a year ago
@@TechRoundUp i did replace it a year ago and i was having trouble with putting the fan but the fan has been on the CPU really good for a long time, can the new paste be somehow the reason its really odd, if i put my PC on high % CPU usage it goes louder easier for nothing like downloading a small file
