Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: the laptop its fine and well made components, we do get them in the store for servicing and upgrade but for failure only if there is water damage. about the battery your laptop will last you longer life span, and so will your charger as it won't pull extra amp for charging = less over heating. once you remove the battery you have to plug it back in (or just disconnect it inside no need to remove the battery) every 6months and do a full 2 cycle of charge and discharge and the disconnect for another 6months, that way the battery will last. THE CONS: once you remove the battery the CMOS will reset to default (not important) but when you turn on the laptop it may take about 12sec for it to boot or show anything on screen. so if you don't mind waiting the extra seconds for the boot then disconnect the battery. Note: when you going to disconnect the battery make sure its at 60% charge, don't disconnect and store it at 100% charge, always at 60%. if you have any question or request in the future feel free to ask me.

Hey brother i have cx0003ng, it got switched off because battery drained for 3 days. So i tried charging it the battery came back 1 time and again it switched off. And then slowly it stopped even charging. It happened gradually. Now im not able to turn it on. I gave to service they are saying motherboard issue. But i doubt my battery is gone. They tried to on it without battery its not turning on they are saying. But i think it is completely drained. What do you thin about this issue

Regarding your question, the issue is not your battery the issue is the components on motherboard, and the laptop should be able to turn on without the battery and charger directly. if you can't power on the laptop without the battery then there is an component issue in the laptop and you will need a honest and good tech to check the motherboard. cheers🍻

Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: i need to you to remove the internal battery and the charger and both rams. and press and hold the power on for 60sec without battery or charger, and after that place only one ram and plug the charger and power on and see if you get anything, (no need to screw the back cover or place the battery in to test). after powering on you must wait 5-10sec for the bios to get reset to defaults.

I’m curious with the charger, if we only check the output with multimeter and there’s is a voltage output equal as the spec, can we says it as a 100% normal condition? it's my pleasure, and you wrong my friend im very sure its your charger , even if multi-miter shows 19v but at the moment of pulling volt it will drop. i had the same exact issue with a client few weeks ago same lanovo type, multi-miter showed 19.5v. but no power no charging. replaced the charger and all fixed. the chargers can get weak after over heating or use, and we have charger tester and when testing it shows as soon as you start pulling amp from it the volt drops to 17v and that's why it won't power. replace your charger my friend and solution resolved. the worst is to return the charger. but im 100% sure its your charger that is weak.

hello boss, need help. i am currently using an HP pavilion dk 15 gaming laptop, but for some reason whenever i try to play roblox my laptop shuts down without warning. i can do everything else like usual in my laptop except for when i run a specific game on roblox, my laptop shuts down without warning. sometimes, i also get a notification about cooling fan error 90B. i only get that error message whenever i try to run that game. the only mods i've done to my laptop is take the battery out. i also use a third party power-supply/battery brick since my original one broke. is it maybe because the game i'm playing is too heavy, and my battery is third-party that my laptop shuts down? any help would be grateful

@@isaacmint8951 much appreciate your support, you need to test few components on motherboard, as im assuming you don't have schematics for the motherboard and experience checking components, the only easy way to know its your motherboard is by replacing the battery, but again im very sure its a short on your battery. we do get a lot of this issue in the store and 90$ is the battery fault.

hey dude, nice tutorial. I´m having a problem with my unit. Today I added some ram and an extra ssd and it worked nice without the back cover, but as soon as I assembled the back cover, the laptop turned off and it won´t turn on again. I connect the charger and the light doesnt turn on and if i press the on button, the laptop fans spin for a second and then stops and a a popping sound is heard, like if something were heated up and exploded, but nothing seems to be exploded. The only thing I can think causes the problem is the charging port and the battery... also, my batterty started to turn off with a 25% charge in it.

I recently bought a hp pavilion 16 a-00045nr gaming laptop. I noticed the battery model number is “PG03XL” and the pavilion 16 replacements are going for $50+ online but the pavilion 15 replacements (same model number) are going for $20. Could I use the hp pavilion 15 battery in the 16?

To reset the BIOS to its default settings, please follow these steps: Power off the laptop. Remove the charger. Unplug the battery. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. @@uFixTekSeriously, no Cmos battery but a capacitor? Are you absolutely sure about that? I was wondering because every time I disconnect the battery to add hardware and restart, I get a Cmos checksum error and have to clear it in order to restart it. Usually that's the sign of a dying Cmos battery. Edit: Oh you are right. After more investigation there is no cmos battery on the motherboard. Good. I don't have to change it. Checksum error ended up being a corrupted BIOS. I flashed latest firmware and all is good.

Yes, most new laptops have stopped using the CMOS dedicated battery. When the main battery is disconnected for a short time, the BIOS defaults are loaded, and you receive a notification to reset them. I'm glad you figured it out, my friend. Cheers!

🫠Regarding your question, the BIOS (CMOS) draws 3V power from the internal main battery, and these models don't have a dedicated battery for the BIOS. If you disconnect the main battery, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then plug the battery back in and power on, the CMOS will reset to factory settings. @@uFixTek My laptop power light is stays only 2 seconds while after clicking the power button. Cannot boot it. After clicking several times, I am getting a CMOS reset 502 error. After that, I was able to login to os. But after shutdown, then goes to the initial issue. My battery is perfect. I detached the battery and reconnected. Issue still happening. I am confused why it is not even booting.

The laptop doesn't requires the battery to be good or bad in order to work. try to get to the windows again and update the BIOS.

@@uFixTek I tried that. But after restarting the BIOS update it became freezing and the laptop turned off immediately. This happened several times when I tried to update the BIOS. Normally when I click on the power button, the power light will stay 3 seconds and it turns off. Rare situations, laptop turned on by showing CMOS reset 502 error and while pressing enter key will boot normally.

You don't need to worry about that at all. It's normal because the BIOS doesn't have a dedicated battery, so when the main battery is not installed, you'll get the CMOS message, and it will restart and start Windows. Nothing to worry about.

@@uFixTek Thanks for answering back. I checked the comments and nobody asked the problem I found on my laptop regarding the battery. I realised that the battery discharge in a few days after being full charged. Have you face this problem? I suspect something related to the motherboard that generates an energy consumption. I searched for windows setups to prevent this problem. But it didn't worked, even checked bios to disable WLan or similar I thought related with energy consumption but I didn't manage to find the source of that energy leak

The issue is very common, this happens to all new laptops, because windows has this option when you shutdown it will actually doesn't power off 100%. for e.g if you check the task manager and go to performance and under CPU you will see a "up time" write that down and do a shutdown and when you power back up it will continue the timer it won't reset. if you want to shutdown and save battery drainage then when you about to click shutdown press and hold LEFT SHIFT key and then press shutdown and keep holding on the key until your laptop is off. now when you power on laptop and check up time now it will say zero min, now you have a fresh startup. if you want to shutdown without holding the shift then do this: go to control panel> category small icons> power options> on the left click on link "choose what the power buttons do"> click the "change settings that are .....> the uncheck all the check boxes and click save here is a picture: imgur.com/a/FZA2WId now every time you shutdown you get a proper shutdown and no battery drain, BUT when you power on it will take few more sec to boot .
