Very interesting news. By the way I found your channel from your CCIE series and I just want to say it has been a huge help in finding good resources. I'm going to be starting my CCIE prep in a few days and I am so excited to learn. You're a huge inspiration and I hope you have a great day.
HPE + Aruba + Silverpeak + Juniper = too much overlap in product lines. Agree with you. This deal seems odd to me for sure. Like either Juniper has inflated numbers they were reporting or something else is going on behind the scenes where HPE is seeing something the rest of the world isn't.
13 b does seem a little low. I dunno. I know of one big cloud provider that uses Juniper for core, but that doesn't necessarily equate to a large datacenter footprint - maybe 5 devices max per DC. Seems like Juniper is most commonly in play for specific use cases. I don't know what this will mean for HPE. I don't see HPE displacing the likes of Arista with a value add of HPE switches and Juniper route under unified branding.
