Ran off the road at 112mph and hit a drainage embankment. Jumped about 50' up and cleared an easy 75'. This is what happens when you try to go fast, accidents will happen. I will be back, stronger and faster.
"You gotta pay to play...." I like your attitude, sir. My tagline is "Fly, fix, fly." I hope you get back on your feet soon. It was looking pretty nice until.. you know. I've had some good wrecks, but you've got me beat. Can't wait to see you come back with more good stuff.
Sorry for ur loss... But that was epic. Too bad u didn't get the "flight" on video. But pick up the good pieces and rebuild. That's the beauty of this hobby....
I gave u thumb up for speed but not because the wreck awesome truck though u running 8s? on tork 2200?, ive got a tc3 and have been trying too get into triple digits but where i run i think the road is my problem cause when i run somewhere else with less runaway urggh it drives straight but otherwise the parkway in the nc mtns it dont track straight at all but may be those hpi xpattern tires so i got set of contact foams coming hope that helps and i can setup my alignment too.
Ohh, it is a lot of speed!!! I have a firestorm too, nice car. But I believe mine will last forever because I drive with slow speed comparing with that (like 50mph). rsrsrsrs
Part of the game man, Be thankful that thing didn't veer off and hit you. Would've been you in pieces on the ground bro. I'm sure you'll come back stronger and even faster!
That was one hell of crash it took. I expected to see more damage then that. I do hope u get it back together. I do have 1 question, What GPS meters are you using. I would like same ones as i know they can take a beating.
I slammed into a concrete curbside with my Redcat Volcano EPX pro doing a speed run. Was running a stock 3300kv brushless motor with a 6200mah 2s 80c lipo battery. Yeah so I know that feeling dude
u called it on the first run. when something don't seem right, its better not to take any chances. but the second run was crazy fast it sounded louder then the car driving past before first run
About as depressing as when I had a flybarless controller glitch on my T-Rex 600E electric heli, $2000 into the ground before I could blink, at well over 70+ mph from what I could judge, it was a complete loss apart from a few electronics. Taco'd a $300 ThunderPower 6S5000 lipo too.. this was back in 2011.
How are you so chilled about this? If I'd put that much money, time and effort into a really nice RC seeing it in 7 sections would make me just stop and shout some choice words into the atmosphere very loudly
I am sure you are a good suspension tuner, but just as reminder; for this kind of high speed, make sure the car is setup for massive under-steer. Skinner tires in the front. Speed was very very IMPRESSIVE!...
