Hey man, yes, you are totally correct. This was just a first run. The engine was just recently broken and my goal was only to make sure that three speed was correctly set up and that it shifted. See you next time.

yes bro! I'm glad you pointed that out. I was running a tad TOO rich in this video because the engine was just broken it. Also my goal was to set the trans to shift correctly, I think this truck can do 50 with a leaner tune in the future also.

Hey my dude! yes, it would easily fit, all the .21 and up engines use the same mounting specs for the most part, you know. I will say this truck for sure can hit 50, I was just very conservative with the RICH tune here because the engine was only recently broken in. Oh that was intensely satisfying! Every shift was as smooth as you could ask for. Clearly a well set up tranny, well tuned engine, and I’ll admit yes I did expect some wheelies. But even my Savage XL with a Novarossi 28/7 doesn’t wheelie as it sits. I just haven’t been that interested in going after that. It’s been more than satisfying to hear the engine roar and see that top end! And all four wheels on dirt or sand as equally satisfying to see spinning! Thanks for the great vid! What’s up man. I think this Savage is capable of hitting 50 miles an hour or more. In this video the engine was only freshly just broken in and I was really only testing out the three speed shift points. I think soon we will check if 50+ is possible.

hey my dude! Yes, the XL I own is a little bit faster, I agree. But you know this was just a cheap stock Dynamite 28 which cost only 105 bucks and it's pretty fuel efficient compared to the XL 5.9 engines.

thank bro! So in this video I was really just running the new Dynamite 28 on a RICH tune and it wasn't really tuned for top speed run yet. I think this truck can hit 50 given a better tune down the road! NitroGang! ..

Hey man, thanks bro. This truck was just broken in and this really was the first test of the three speed transmissions shift point. I would say it shifted and it ran well, but yes, there’s about 5 mph left to be had on the top end, with all leaner tune in the future.

Hey bro, lol you got a good point right there. Although I will say I have tested various tuned pipes and there really isn’t much of a difference compared to this original plastic pipe. At the end of the day they are still dual chamber pipes you know. Of course a nice ripples tuned would be incredible.

I had an original 4.6 back in the day. I put in a 3-Speed and she hauled the mail. The old purple engine with the silver body. She was tough but got lost in translation thru moving and my exes…. Long story. Love all your vids and funny lines. Ya keep it real as always….

hey man! happy to see you here and great observation. Well I generally never fill the tank beyond 3/4 because I like to leave a bit of an air gap at the top and also account for the possibility of something going wrong and not being able to run the model for the day. In which case an entire tank of fuel would be a waste, or I'd have to really pour it back into the container, you know.

Hey man, thanks for checking out this video. This particular truck has the optional three speed transmission and it came with its own unique size spur. I am not too sure what it is but if you reference the part I showed in this video it will tell you. The clutch was just the factory clutch most likely a 16 tooth.

LOL yes!! It had a little bit of a TUNING stutter, sure did sound like a 4 speed BABY! hahah. Id say this truck with a better leaner tune can hit 50. Engine was just recently broken in, so I was really doing mostly shift testing and not dedicated speed runs.
