Nice rig. Need a large lithium battery bank with inverter to run a 12v AC, 12v fridge, microwave-everything. Also include a way to connect to the tow vehicle so the lithium batteries can charge while towing (in addition to solar charging).
I love the ruggedness and upscale, but durable features. Camping is rugged and kids are rough on things. This rv is awesome for camping and what the market needed.👍
I would be happy if they could just repair my less than 1 year old HQ19. Been in dealer or BS Corp for over 5 months since I bought it last May 2020. Currently at the dealer for over 2 months trying to get more warranty work done. I can't get BS Corp to answer my emails or messages on FB. Customer service is not what you would expect from an RV costing $60,000.00+ Leaking roof, cracked interior panels, delaminated counters, electrical problems and the list just goes on and on and on. I wish they would be more responsive to their customers.
What happened to all the nice stuff? The newer HQ19 you see the end of 2021 and on the Black Series website got rid of the piano hinges and went with the cheaper hinges. No soft catch. They got rid of the locking handles. They changed to cheap white laminate, The counters look cheaper. The dining areas went white with cheaper looking cushion. No more foot flip up. They got rid of that nice black series cover on the piece under the fridge. The oven looks cheap now. Everything in 2021 looks like the cheap laminate RV. Sigh…..Black Series just blew it and became a every day cheap unit inside. We were thinking of buying the HQ19 for many reason including the nice boat like interior…..but after checking all the changes to cheaper looks on the website we are changing our minds. Keep the price at 88 and offer a nicer original product.
When I watched the walk thru of the C12 I thought it was incredible, when I looked on their site and saw the price I thought you guys are out of your fricken mind!
How is it the HQ 12 and 15 have a compressor fridge and the 19 is STILL using the 1820's propane fridge...? Please contact me when this changes to compressor fridge style!
Nice looking trailer but a lot of fluff with very limited storage. There are no drawers or even room under the bed. Where do you place your clothes and shoes?
An absorption fridge? In the year 2020? Huge fail. 12volt compressor fridge is now the king. Uses very few amps and doesn't need TWO GIANT HOLES in your rig to function. That Dometic EATS UP 12v amps. Probably the biggest reason that rig was consuming 13 amps with just lights on. On the positive, which this guy failed to mention...piano hinges everywhere!
Thanks for the video but need more detail information on devices inside. The fridge being one....this is 120V / propane only.. with a camper that is for off road boondocking and the high cost .....what is the logic behind not putting in a fridge that can be run on a 12V system? Thank you
Nice but if you’re in cold climates you’re not going to get much sleep with the heater going on and off under the bed. Should be placed somewhere else.
I would think it really depends on how cold of a climate you are planning in. Given how well it seals, you shouldn't be loosing too much heat in the winter and keeps cool in the summer. From what I've read so far, and I am NO expert, the construction along with the design of how and what it is insulated with really makes the difference. I've read where, depending on the temperatures of course, you can use smaller electric heaters and keep just as warm versus firing up the big furnace.
Why on EARTH would you only have that one outlet on the inverter. If you're going to have only 1 outlet on the inverter, at least make it the one in the kitchen so you can use a coffee maker!! Geez.
Most likely a European specification I wonder since they are designed over there? I'm wondering how difficult it would be to just trace down the connection and bring it over to the inverter. Of course I'd replace the outlets with built in protection so they'd trip in the event of a short by any water intrusion.
Need one like the Open Range Highland Ridge that's about 22 foot long, 100 inches wide and has THREE slides. The rear slide is absolutely awesome because no Murphy bed required. Always have a nice big Queen or King bed in rear with a full time sofa and dinette. Then the slide out on each side really opens it up making it feel much bigger than a 22' travel trailer. I'd also make all travel trailers with a super real shiny aluminium roof. I clip on aluminium house wrap on my roof and the entire interior remains at least 10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler in the hot sun. I'd also keep the entire exterior color as light colored as possible with absolutely minimal dark, depressing, gloomy less visible colors like black, dark browns, dark green, etc. I want my vehicles to be easily spotted, happy, cheerful, brighter colors. No need to resemble a hearse on the way to the funeral 😉 The travel trailers also need to be available as fully 100% all four seasons equipped, so all we need to do if at a campground for a night or two is hook up a heated hose, plug in the power and shazam were all set. God Bless, happy and safe RVing 🌞🎵💦🏊♂️
That is not an over lander camper. I went and looked expecting to find something for rugged overland trails and it is just a camper for on the highway.
@@sharondavis258 Which travel trailer do you mean? The Highland Ridge one I'm talking about? It's rugged enough for the back country places I go. But I agree it should be made much more suited for rugged terrain.
so the general water is heated so it doesnt freeze, but the drinking water isnt. anyone else notice that? and the heater needs to be relocated. air flow appears to be partially blocked by sink base. and it is in a dangerous place, what happens if the bed cover falls off enough to cover it? fire?
@@freighter1097 Relax! I just started looking for a four season trailer. If all four season trailer doors are thin, I'll find that out. I just replied to the people who made a post that I agreed with them. Why didn't you go after them?
@@christopherchen6170 Thanks, I know the older tent models had been, but wasn't sure on the HQ's. Wouldn't stop me from buying on, looks like great quality.
With rock sliders, and the grey/black tank drain nozzles are higher, and protected. Also, skid plates on the tanks, and independent suspension so that you don't have the axle to scrape rocks on the trail.
@@MadbencoFS Do you off road? The rock sliders are critical for what they are thinking, as are the skid plates. If you don't go back some forest service trails, then yes, it is a generic camper with additional costs. I have a popup camper with bigger tires , and I ripped off one of the stabilizer jacks because it hung too low. I have seen other campers that had bigger tires and then the drain nozzles where too low and they could easily get ripped off.
Great 2024 Models Coming out next month available with lots of useful Upgrades and Intelligent off grid power packages. Follow www.blackseries.net for more details!
nope, thats what I'm pulling mine with. However, like with any trailer....mileage really sucks. I have to admit I was surprised that mine dropped to average about 8mpg through hills of Utah and Northern AZ. And thanks to Brandon every frequent stop for gas sucked!!!
Search customers reviews on Black Series campers before you think about purchasing..... Or why some reputable RV dealers are cutting ties with them.....
Why would anyone on the planet spend 60K for this when you can buy an Airstream for the same price, and it's the gold standard when it comes to trailers.
As an owner please don’t kid yourself these are the end all b all They totally are NOT R16 not even R12. Think about it the walls are not any thicker then 1 1/4” thick! The walls when you look down the length are wavy is they are no composite either. Just about ever unit has veneer cracking the pass through pressboard cracks as well I’ll soon be doing my view on my unit and tell the honest truth Further Black Series after 9’months will not warranty
The background music is annoying I stopped listening at the 3:00 minute mark and unliked and unsubscribed from this channel. No way you could spend 30 minutes listening to that music
few that i don't like with BS HQ19 or the rest. Too many keys, Tow Hitch and switches. Simplify the Biden's and label them switch! Also the batteries gotta be at least 300 watts and all fridges and AC and stove should run on 12 V. Pls fix all these
