I enjoyed running mazack. found in could get my head around a program and each new run find ways to knock a cycle time down. your ways need beefing up.. always wondered if you could do a load perpendicular to the axis thru magnetism to give a action like box ways... in ridgit milling mode turn on.. lock that shit down.. minimise deflection

if you look at any mazack with a movable sub spindle.. I see unlimited possibilities in fixturing!! design your fixture in the main spindle. use the sub for support.. now drive that sub in say two more inches to be the drive dog. you now have five axis capabilities in multiple positions around the main character axis

done in one sometimes means done in none. try arguing that with the boss. with the following rest it's possible to run a large integrex as mass production... ex two tombstones supported with the lathe operation locked out. that's a lot of positions in a roughstock boundary

in fixturing you can greatly add a reduced cost of effectiveness per machine and corner a market where the customer does come 1st

being a slant axis. compensation for x/c and x/y moves have the same issues after abusive operators

Is that program in maz control or g code?

this machine would rock for mass production if you have beefed those mill spindles up. the seqronous milling is a great concept... but again.. axis wear or abuse...

think some concepts I have worded hold justification. please remember this person if it amounts to anything. ex.. full time we'll paid job in the Philippines

spade drill incorporated into the jaws.. clamp O/D on a mandrel in spindle bore. inserts protrude from jaw face.. clamp I/D they have no positive action and retract.

and on a second note... show the worth of serrated grippers for soft materials thank you. . do not know why .. but that can be a hard one to explain to the boss

How much does it cost anyone ?

movement would be slower with more tourq... ex... say same pressure as 1000 meters sub sea?

on that note? has anyone tried to machine under a pressurized environment?

just calling as I see it. these machines can be designed for multiple transfers to finish machine a part... give those peeps there justification.. just allow chuck psi control thru program
