This is Einar, he's the human manifestation of the ancient gods of sacred nature... his music is primordial life...

Are the lyrics in old Norse? How can 2 words be translated in a whole sentence? Quite interesting...

It's Old Norwegian yes. Hrafnsmál is a norwegian skaldic poem from Haraldskvæði. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hrafnsm%C3%A1l

@@norwegian1234 To be honest, as far as I have read Old Norwegian is the same as the other old Nordic Languages. I am trying to teach myself Old Norse (or Old Icelandic even though Iceland's language hasn't really developed that much) and I pronounced each word exactly the same when I was pausing to read the video (again other than the parts that he overly sang because it is a song...) Now I know that Iceland was founded by Norwegians and so you might say that is why they are so similar but I am pretty sure it is very close to Old Swedish also.

totitolis They are close yes, but they were still different. Some different letters etc. But the gramatical system and sentence building were pretty much the same I guess.

There's actually three different phenomenon. 1) In some cases it can be explained due to English being a language with the tendency to keep each word separate with a space in between whereas various other languages attach them to each other to form a composite word. 2) There's some words that have no more common use, so outdated that they have no literal one-word translation, so when translating you'd describe the word instead. 3) The last but perhaps the most relevant explanation. eg. at 3:10 "Of the berserker, I would know more. Those who feed on blood. How one deals with, such battle-brave warriors. Those who wade through men." You can tell that the sentences in English are written in a way to not only provide a translation, but to also have the pacing of the story go along with the pacing of the song for those who are reading the English bits. ;)

Let's just hope, this will be the main theme and not another shitty "Ezios Family" Remix.
