This song is a killer. The first phrase comes from the concept of reincarnation of Hinduism, where the singer says: I have travelled through millions of life to get this human life. I will not get it again once it's lost. Therefore, I will keep it deep in my heart, won't give it away. I am no way a believer of incarnation, but my god, everytime i listen to Anusheh's version, how well she sang that particular phrase, I can immediately connect to how precious our human life is, and we take it for granted. :( The esraj sounds like coming from another incarnation into this song. The people who thinks about suicide should listen to this song. I don't think they can think of it afterwards.

‘I Died as a mineral and became a plant, I died as plant and rose to animal, I died as animal and I was Man. Why should I fear? When was I less by dying? Yet once more I shall die as Man, to soar With angels bless’d; but even from angelhood I must pass on: all except God doth perish. When I have sacrificed my angel-soul, I shall become what no mind e’er conceived. Oh, let me not exist! for Non-existence Proclaims in organ tones, To Him we shall return” ~ Maulana Rumi Sahib Maulana Rumi Sahib, perhaps the greatest Sufi Saint of ancient Iran clearly portrays his affinity to reincarnation with this poem.

Just some insight on Anusheh. Anusheh is married to Pandu, the guitarist of Sonar Bangla Circus. She is also the ex-wife of Buno vai, who is playing playing bass, and the chief sound engineer in coke studio bangla. Anusheh used to be the lead vocalist of a tremendous band called Bangla. Some of us think, their first album opened a new door in the Bangladesh music industry

Yes you are right. This song has been sung by many singers from Bangladesh and also West Bengal singers from India. But Anushe's version is the best. And the lyrics of this track is totally something else. Incredible. I always thank God for giving me the opportunity to know this beautiful language Bangla. I really proud that it is my mother tongue. Sorry I got a bit overwhelmed. This is your fault guys ,😜....Subha neend se uthtehi itni Khub soorat track sunneko milay to Aisa hi honge...nai? Thanks from bottom of my heart. Yaa I totally agree with you...agar aapko music ki nashta lagjaye to aur koi nashay ki zaroorat hi nai padhtay. Keep it up. Love from Bangladesh ❤️❤️

Also, Anusheh Anadil was the lead vocal for Band Bangla back in early 2002ish with Arnob, and Buno.

I don't know if you guys know or not Anusheh Anadil and Arnob, both of them were the same band members of their very first band called "Bangla Band". But unfortunately, they got separated later. From that perspective, As Arnob is a trained Esraj Player, even his most favorite instruments he loves to play, I doubt if this song's esraj is played by Arnob or not (though it's not even written in any of the videos available in yt) , if anyone knows please let all us know. The Esraj in this composition is something on another level. A reference: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_gH5QQiP5og.html

If you haven't already, please watch Anousheh and Palki Ahmad's casual collaboration of "Khachar Pakhi/Caged Bird". This performance reveals the her raw talent. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jST8hP9is-E.html The excerpts of the rough english translation of the "Khachar Pakhi (Caged Bird)" goes something like this - "The unknown Bird in the cage… how does it fly in and out? Catch it, I would, if I could… and put my mind’s chains on its feet."

You are right in using the word ''high'' in the context, Haris! To me, it is sung by Anusheh in a way that throws both the singer and the listener in a trance-like state of meditative consciousness!

Considering your taste in music, you can listen to the following songs: 1. "Kokhno ichchey hoi" by Bappa Mazumder. Piano work in this song is amazing. This song is highly inspired by Eric Clapton's "Wonderfull tonight". Music composition is very soothing. 2. " Din gelo tomar poth chahiya" by Habib Wahid. You will love the flute work here.
